when I played around I am hitting more the 43.5k
44k with dalvik, 42k with art.
Not sure whether nvidia messed up art or did a good job of optimising dalvik, but it's the first time I've seen it score higher.

Cool , out of curiosity of previous benchmarks I decided to compile the kernel in linaro 4.8 with cortex a15 optimizations wondering if the antutu benchmark will noticed a difference you must have cwm to install I added stock kernel just in case this one has issues.

Hi have tested kernel and works great! I get an extra 1.5k total of 44.5k, normally around 43k give or take this is not version 5. Please stick around we need some great devs!!
Is that kernel going to need an unlocked bootloader?
Can fastboot boot recovery images but I've but tried a kernel yet.

Since the 3.0.1 update, have you or anyone else tried the OC (1.5) kernel that everyone's been missing with. I thought I had read over in that thread that there were issues with it now (FC's?). Not sure if I should even bother with flashing it at this point.

And there was no issue installing it using the exact same files/instructions from before the 3.0.1 update?
I used the apk that jrummy made to install the update for rooted users and it worked like a charm and I still have my overclocked kernel. I didn't have to reinstall the overclocked kernel after the update.
from my Xoom using XDA App
Well I'm not sure what is going on with this kernel. After updating to 3.0.1, then unlocking, then rooting, I went through the procedure for flashing this kernel just as I had done last week. I was able to successfully send the xoom_ocboot.img, then rebooted in fastboot, then remounted, then pushed the bcm4329.ko kernel (verified afterwards by looking with Root Explorer), then rebooted in adb, but the kernel didn't take. The kernel from the 3.0.1 update is still in effect.
What gives??!?!
Maybe I should try the tiamat kernel instead? Whats the difference?
EDIT: I ended up wiping everything and starting from scratch, and this time I modded the OC first, THEN I used the update installer app to update to 3.0.1, which worked perfectly.

WHS; and no issues here.
FWIW, SetCPU shows I'm running 216-1504, but my best LinPack is only ~44.
My original quadrant scores were between 1800-1900. I got the update, and they are still in the same area, no jump to 2100+ like in your attached photo. Was kinda sad cuz I noticed some choppiness while playing Dungeon Defenders and probably could have used that boost to fix it up.
...Then, just to be sure, I restarted it. My scores now match yours. I mean, it already restarted when it updated, but whatever. So if anybody else wants the boost, be sure to do another restart. I rarely restart so it would be a shame for anyone to miss out on a performance boost.

Screenshots were with the Dalvik Debug Monitor in the SDK Tools.
I got an average score of 1871 on quadrant before and after the HR166 update.
The score remains the same no matter if it's after a fresh reboot or after the device has been on and used for hours.
I have to say the OP's results are very lucky.
This isn't the case across the board.
Who cares about quadrant, should be using Smartbench 2011 anyway.
quadrant is a terrible benchmarking application.
scores are very inconsistent. if you rerun the application you will get a higher score.
btw, going from 3.0 to 3.01 did not give any improvement in terms of snappiness.

I really wish Samsung used Nvidia tegra or PowerVR SGX , those two companys were in GPU business long time they can write proper GPU drivers , mali is peace of crap.

Its actually issue with Quadrant. Quadrant advanced and professional editions are stuck at version 1.1.6 which is known to have issues with phones running Gingerbread ROMs like SGS2.
So those scores are flawed.
Standard edition has been upgraded to version 1.1.7 which works without these issues with gingerbread. Ironically those who paid are left in ditch at the moment with lack of update

1. How are you doing a quadrant benchmark? Mine errors out at "decoding video". (10/12)
2. I am working on a 1.2 ghz overclock kernel. So far a lot of bugs, maybe that's why quadrant failed... if I succeed, I will try 1.4... if I can even out the major bugs I will release it.
Also, just want to add that on said kernel I got a 6752 overall in Chainfire...

You're likely getting an error at "decoding video" because you have used your camera. In order to get quadrant to work properly, you have to run a benchmark before you've opened the camera and caused it to force close.

I'm not sure how many times you've tried the test, but I did it about five times in a row and each time my score raised by about 150 until it steadied at 4200 or so. Make sure to free as much RAM and extra processor usage as possible using a task manager or similar. Also, are you at 1.1Ghz? That's what I'm at with the kernel that came with the CM7 pre-beta install. I believe it is faux's kernel.

You have to compare it to a GNEX, not using Nexus S. GNEX has to push more pixels and so on to the 4.65" 720p screen comparing to Nexus S with 4.0" display. I believe that would put a strain on the CPU?

....memoirs of a flash addict.
CM9 nightly implemented some Linaro code in the build you can see in change log I did 2 quadrant scores at 1.4ghz & got total score of 1800 I then flashed the Anidroid hardened kernel b.13 which was build using linaro tool chain & got a score of 2500 phone did seem a little quicker but nothing crazy

I noticed my scores were lower than other peoples, I ran them a few times and got around 41k in Antutu and 14k in Quadrant. The phone was not hot, during the first tests the phone was actually cool so it wasn't that and the scores were consistent.
I decided to try the only other thing I could think of and turned the phone off then on, and my scores jumped immediately to around 21k in Quadrant and nearly 45k in Antutu. I don't know why this happened but it is a little worrying performance seems to randomly degrade by a moderate amount after minor use just because it had been on for a while.
Also annoying is the non verified score.

I have found that my phone's performance degrades for every day i don't restart, the built in task killer just doesn't "kill" many apps properly and after my longest uptime (500+ hours) even phone calls started lagging, due to RAM being filled up with stuff.
But this isn't just for the Z3, i call android ****ty garbage collection much on this one.

Sent from my D5833 using XDA Free mobile app
Here are my AnTuTu results. Running latest .77 firmware, rooted and unlocked bootloader with AndroPlusKernel. Phone is running in performance mode, through Trickster Mod, for benefit of the benchmark test.
