It looks great and superfine when viewed with Gallery app but terrible within Messages app.

When sent via MMS the image is compressed. Compression degrades quality.

When using the built-in Gallery, why are images blurry? Seems like its not rendering the image correctly and just zooming in on a thumbnail.
If this is how it works, anyone recommended a replacement that works the way it should?
I searched on the market and in Appbrain but there does not seem to be an app which records a movie with additional info being shown in the recording. Think of the police cams when they are in pursuit.
I record a movie when I drive to work now and then and I think it would be really nice to see actual speed, directions, time, etc. in the movie. I think that would be really cool .
Anyone know of an app like this? If not, maybe it is just a nice idea then.

I meant this app : http://www.appbrain.com/app/dailyroads-voyager/com.dailyroads.v
But you can't imprint text to the recording on Android, mission impossible. Still you can watch the HUD while driving ;]
Looks like a good app. As per the description:
Display speed, elevation, timestamp and GPS coordinates on videos/photos.
Will have to try it and see if it just displays it or if it actually records the info also for playback.
Just tested this app, it is really nice and has very nice feautures!
Downside: playback recorded movies does not show the data, only when viewed with internal movie player.
So it does not seem possible to download recorded movies to your pc ... thats's a shame.
Maybe that feature will be added later.

very nice app.... thank you
Heya, anyone know of a good app to use to compress videos to send via text or other messaging programs? The videos I record with our camera app is beautiful, but way too big in file size to send.
Thanks
Ah, the one area where Apple excels over everyone else...ease of sending a full HD video via MMS. I used to use VidTrim Pro for its transcoding feature, and I'd just set everything to low. But it took forever, wasted battery, and the end video was way too short and way too crappy looking to be of any worth. Nowadays, I just upload the original to Dropbox and text the link.

ah, that's one way of doin it... yeah, you'd think Google would've implemented a built in on the fly video compression eh?
With the normal image viewer, opens just the photo, of course with no sound. With vlc - opens the photo, sort of like a movie, it lasts 9 sec, but no sound.
How do you guys view this sound & shot photos on your pc?

Does anyone know a video editor app that can speed up recorded slomo video to normal speed. I only found apps that can slow down videos.

It's a only a viewer. You cannot save the videos with edited speed.

I found an app called "video speed" which can speed up parts of the video, but without any time transition. So it looks not very good.
