I'm always used to using the volume buttons on my phone to change tracks but I can't do it on my S4 unless I flash a custom non touchwiz rom. Which I dont want tondo because it'll delete all the touchwiz features on my S4. Is there any way to change my music tracks using the volume or home button?

Sorry there's no way to do this on stock, that is why I'm running CM10.1 which can do all that you are talking about and more.
Will the features from roms such as CM 10.1, AOKP & PA be available on a custom Touchwiz rom?

you CAN in fact do it on a stock rooted rom.. if u don't know how to do it simply say so. but please don't mislead someone. to do it, just install xposedInstaller 2.1.4, and xposedtweakbox 1.4.0 then go to the misc section of tweakbox, enable it and then reboot.
Thanks!! Just what I was looking for.

Sorry guys I honestly thought there was no way, while I was on stock I was looking for an iron but I couldn't find it...
I installed all the software and followed the steps above, however PowerAmp still would not change track with the volume keys held down when the screen is off.
I'm using WanamLite Rom.
Hello,
me neither. I also tried the two apps, mentioned above, but won't work at all
hope someone will find a solution in the future
Still no solution to this?

Will that replace the Adam Kernel in my WanamLite firmware? Will it cause conflicts or issues?
Thanks in advance.

No, it's framework, not a kernel. Also you shouldn't have problems if your rom is aosp and deodexed.

Nope. Doesn't change kernel.

I think WanamLite is based off the stock Samsung firmware and framework. I don't think it's AOSP and I don't know what de-odexing is, apologies.
Just install Headset Button Controller from the market.
Its soooo good I bought it!

Xposed
Xposed framework works just as well. Just remember to enable the tweakbox under Modules tab in xposed installer.

Ya I tried the 2 apps u posted didnt work after rebooting twice but unchecked/unmodified everything that "I" checked/modified in the module except the volume then did a soft boot and that worked. idk if it was just all the thing i checked/modified or the soft boot or it just needed a 3rd reboot
Hi,
I would like to ask If there is any MOD for add advanced Quick Settings (Add more toggles, delete, reorder) for new Android 4.3.
I don't want to switch custom rom. So any flashable Quick settings MOD will be great for me.
Thanks in advance,

It works on both stock and JSS15J - I personally tested both. If go to the post above that one, he also has an ODEX version.

Just installed Xposed Framework and GravityBox on my Moto X and after a bit of tinkering all I have to say is HOLY [email protected]#$ BYE BYE CM!
Coming from a Galaxy Nexus running CM for years, it all feels like home to me... and no need to give up the Moto X-specific features. All is now right with the world.
yep, all of the neat features CM brings can be replicated with gravity box
my moto x is a mean killing machine now
Did you use the MotoXposed I keep hearing about or the general framework? I've only ever used CM too, I just got this guy and need to get it customized.

From what I have read regarding MotoXposed is just a Module and still requires the Xposed Framework from xposed.info. MotoXposed looks like an alternative to GravityBox [[geared specifically toward the Moto X?]].

Ahh, that would make sense. If that's the case I'll stick with GravityBox, since I think I read earlier that there's a problem with MotoXposed running on 4.4.

MotoXposed gave me many issues on KitKat. I'd stay with GravityBox or any other updated modules.
Just finished installing GravityBox, and yea I'll probably avoid MotoXposed... Loving it so far.
MotoXposed is not updated for 4.4. That's why it doesn't work. GravityBox is the way to go.

You don't have to anymore there is an exploit that allows you to have permanent r/w off even with a fxz or fdr with the exception of an ota. You can get your factory recovery back.

Is there a way to get transparent nav bar without using Xposed? Maybe decompile SystemUI and edit values like how we can make status bar transparent?
Thanks.
Look for G2Xposed.

The comment before this stating to use G2 Xposed does not solve your issue, being you need Xposed to use G2 Xposed. As far as I know, there is no simple way of having a clear Nav Bar without Xposed. There may be some Roms that will offer this option, look around in your carriers development section. Good Luck.
I kind of want to stick with stock rom for now though, so I guess I am out of luck.

LoL. I must have been distracted or something.
But root just is Admin rights. In Linux, Root is the admin username. Just because you unlock the root level access, doesn't mean you are on a custom rom.
I'm running stock rom, rooted, installed "Xposed" APK app AND then "G2 Setting" Xposed module app. No other way ATM that I know of.
Even if there is another way, it would require root access and/or a custom recovery.

I have created here a cool mod for our N5,
with this you can set the processor clock (with Stock Rom KTU84P or KTU84M).
Odex and deodex version online.
A huge thanks goes to Pandemic (HowTo) and ZN6 (because of the required apk's).
With both consent, I have created a version for our Nexus 5 with 4.4.3 and 4.4.4 Stock Rom.
Odex and deodexed versions.
With this mod, it is possible to adjust the CPU clock and view the CPU statistics.
Without custom kernel!
Don't forget, credits goes to Pandemic and ZN6, for their work.
