Transparent Nav Bar Without Xposed? - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a way to get transparent nav bar without using Xposed? Maybe decompile SystemUI and edit values like how we can make status bar transparent?
Thanks.

Look for G2Xposed.

The comment before this stating to use G2 Xposed does not solve your issue, being you need Xposed to use G2 Xposed. As far as I know, there is no simple way of having a clear Nav Bar without Xposed. There may be some Roms that will offer this option, look around in your carriers development section. Good Luck.

I kind of want to stick with stock rom for now though, so I guess I am out of luck.

Yes.

Yes there is a way or yes he's out of luck? That wasn't a very helpful post at all.
But to answer the OP's question; Yes, you can. This thread will walk you through the process - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2361902

You can still be on stock if you root. You'll just be stock rooted.

LoL. I must have been distracted or something.
But root just is Admin rights. In Linux, Root is the admin username. Just because you unlock the root level access, doesn't mean you are on a custom rom.
I'm running stock rom, rooted, installed "Xposed" APK app AND then "G2 Setting" Xposed module app. No other way ATM that I know of.
Even if there is another way, it would require root access and/or a custom recovery.

i tried it before posting, but nothing happened
do you think it has something to do with being JWR66 and Odex
Yes, that mod in the OP is for deodex only. The original author of the mod did reply with an odex version for the Nexus 4 and I believe Busybox must be installed.

This is exactly what I'm looking for for the Google Play edition of a GS4. Well... I have a T-Mobile version, that I've rooted and flashed a GPE ROM to.
I've tried the option of editing the settings database, but it seems to carry no weight to the system with those settings. Not sure if the ROM is just "thinned out" and something is missing, (I think it's normal stock per the thread) or if I'm just not getting the "complete" changes. Like if something has to change elsewhere in addition to the database updates.
Either way, this is exactly what I'm looking for for my phone...... Anyone know of a place for this corner case? (without installing another app... I already have SwitchPro Widget installed and it's fine. Serves the purpose just fine; I want the stock options in the secondary menu instead)
Thanks!

It's a module for Xposed Framework. Check the links in my signature.
In stock rom if you long press the toggle, you active it.

Just new to 4.3 on a stock Nexus 4 (only got it today)
Had been using 4.3 CM10 on my Nexus S with the quick toggles just being a tab to enable/disable.
Tried the long press method and for the most part it does work, so that's great, but it doesn't do so with the Mobile Data, that still goes to the mobile data usage page.
Am I missing something?
Stock quick toggles are more limited, if you want to expand on it install Xposed Framework and the Gravity Box module.

Xposed Framework and GravityBox: installed and loving it

Just installed Xposed Framework and GravityBox on my Moto X and after a bit of tinkering all I have to say is HOLY [email protected]#$ BYE BYE CM!
Coming from a Galaxy Nexus running CM for years, it all feels like home to me... and no need to give up the Moto X-specific features. All is now right with the world.
yep, all of the neat features CM brings can be replicated with gravity box
my moto x is a mean killing machine now
Did you use the MotoXposed I keep hearing about or the general framework? I've only ever used CM too, I just got this guy and need to get it customized.

From what I have read regarding MotoXposed is just a Module and still requires the Xposed Framework from xposed.info. MotoXposed looks like an alternative to GravityBox [[geared specifically toward the Moto X?]].

Ahh, that would make sense. If that's the case I'll stick with GravityBox, since I think I read earlier that there's a problem with MotoXposed running on 4.4.

MotoXposed gave me many issues on KitKat. I'd stay with GravityBox or any other updated modules.
Just finished installing GravityBox, and yea I'll probably avoid MotoXposed... Loving it so far.
MotoXposed is not updated for 4.4. That's why it doesn't work. GravityBox is the way to go.

You don't have to anymore there is an exploit that allows you to have permanent r/w off even with a fxz or fdr with the exception of an ota. You can get your factory recovery back.

That app is not very reliable it seems.
Now i have done what ingoljsh has told and all is well. I did this through G2 xposed.
Installing GMD replaces the nav bar correct? Is it possible i can swipe up only for certain designated apps?

You can always flash cloudyflex 2.0, and then hide the softkeys with a feature inside the rom where you can choose exactly which apps you want the softkeys to be removed from.

Hi, do you consider changing your ROM? If yes, then go for Kurama v3 6.0.1. All the apps are applied to multiwindow as soon as you're installing them. Good luck!
Thanks for the suggestion, I'm not changing roms though.

So i literally don't need an app or anything no root, nothing and just install Android M on my Note then edit services.jar??
Could you quickly explain? I am technically aware of what I'm doing just looked through that link and articles and i couldn't see where it explains exactly how to do what it's suggesting.
You just need to decomplie services jar and edit the one line but I'm pretty sure you need a deodexed rom
