Hello,
i just bought GT540 (V10C) today and first think I wanted to do is instalation of 2.1 Android. I was following instruction in official instalator, everithing looked well but instalation froze at 64%. Emergemency mode is display on phone.
What am I suppose to do ? Is there a danger that my phone will never work again ?
I have never worked with Smartphones and I really lost. Help is very much appriciated !
# Make sure you use USB ports that are in back of youre PC, dont use front ones.
# Disable LGE Virtual Modem. In your Windows operating system, go to Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager > Modems > Right click on LGE Virtual Modem and click Disable.
# Try to boot your phone into Emergency/Download mode (VOL DOWN + POWER).
* If the phone booted into Emergency/Download mode, launch KDZ Updater.
* In TYPE dropdown menu, choose EMERGENCY.
* Load KDZ(ROM) and flash your phone.
# If the phone failed to boot into Emergency/Download mode (VOL DOWN + POWER), launch KDZ Updater.
* In TYPE dropdown menu, choose CS_EMERGENCY.
* Load KDZ(ROM) and flash your phone.
Thanks much for fast reply. Before I do this I would like to know whether I lose warranty or not.
Depends but I dont think so. My friend bricked his phone in 02 UK after reflashing it many times get them back cause of faulty power button and they have no problem with custom ROM.

To Anyone who gets problem to unbrick your LG Optimus L3 e400
It Really works for me.
How to instal LG Firmware using KDZ Updater
1. Download and Install USB driver for Lg L3 e400 from LG website or here
2.Download and install MSXML 4.0 SP3. here.
3.Download KDZ Updater here then extract it to your computer.
4. Download KDZ file according to your country or any compatible KDZ file. Download here
How to use KDZ:
1. Detach your external SD from your phone.
2. Remove your phone battery and wait for a few seconds.
3. Put your battery back to the phone.
4. Press volume - and + (or just in the middle of volume button) and power button at the same time.
5. wait till the phone screen turns to yellow (emergency mode) then release all the buttons.
6. Connect your phone to PC by using USB cable (your LG cable).
7. Stop or disable your antivirus or antimalware.
8. Run KDZ Updater as administrator.
9. Choose the following options in KDZ Updater:
Type: 3GQCT
Phone Mode: DIAG
and browse KDZ file is the one you downloaded, browse where you put this file and then select.
9. Click on “Launch Software Update”
10. If everything goes well, you will see “Finished” on KDZ Updater screen. Your phone will restart itself. You'll see the opening screen.
If something wrong happen it's usually because of the wrong download of KDZ file, broken KDZ Updater, or your antivirus.
I hope this could unbrik your LG L3 phone.
How to Root it.
After doing all the above now you can root your device again with this. Extract the file you just downloaded to your root of your computer.
Connect your device to the computer, then double click run.bat and wait till the device restart.
Now your device is rooted again
How to get CWM
Download from Google Play Rom Manager and download your CWM with this apk while online.
Good Luck

Yes. You do need to root and reinstall cwm because it's very safe.
I have 4.0.4 ICS (cm9) on my LG L3 (e400), I tried to flash to stock since official 4.4 (kitkat) is coming soon but it does nothing, just reboots normally after flashing (no errors reported with kdz flasher) with my wallpaper and everything, and it says that my battery is charging but it's not connected to charger or computer. Any ideas?
I did everything from the guide, step by step, and I'm stuck on this error: Upgrade Error: Wparam: 100 LParam :1010
I especially looked ower firmware, and I'm positive that I downloaded the right one.
I tried several times, and every time I get this error. Also, phone now boots to Emergency mode, and can't boot to something else.
Don't know what to do? Anyone help?
Just reinstall driver, reboot pc after instalation and run kdz as admin.

You can only enter emergency mode because you haven't finished installing_KDZ. If I were you I would try download and install another KDZ file.
It will only work when you get the right KDZ file for your device. Don't worry to try another KDZ file.
Try another KDZ updater,
Unable antivirus and firewall.
Keep on trying. I hope these will unbricked your phone.

I can't turn it off completely without removing the battery. When I place back the battery it turns on immediately, so I don't have time to hold button combo..... :/
Download Quick Boot Reboot from play store. Run it select recovery then it should hard reset your device.

After removing battery wait about 15 seconds and put it back. If it still fails, remove battery and wait for longer time.
Just keep on trying.

Have you tried entering into CWM?
If so, then you should do factory reset, wipe cache, and go to advance then wipe dalvik cache then restart your phone.

Tried that, tried flashing another roms, tried KDZ, tried multiple stock roms....nothing works.... It says it's charging without cable being connected.
stuck with cm9
For those you stuck and cannot flash back to stock ROM. enter to CWM, and leave it there. Connect to PC and flash with EMERGENCY mode (not DIAG)
Works perfectly, tested in Windows 8
Thanks!

Hi, i'm new and french so I'm sorry for my bad english
I have an Android LG optimus L5 II. I accepted the android upgrade (about 'applications') and now I can't turn on my phone; it's stuck on the 'SRF' logo just after the 'LG' logo. It works but don't start. Please, help me...
Is your phone rooted? And does it have cwm installed?
You may have bricked it but thats not a big deal, the first thing you can trie is to press volume down and the home button, and press power, as soon as your phone vibrates let go of the power button and keep holding volume down and home button. Let go after 10 seconds, your phone shuld factory reset, if it does let it boot. Leave it for 5 minuts on boot. If it wont boot after that, youll need to download kdz to your PC and flash the original OS.
Hope this helped

Thanks a lot for your answer!

- Hmm I don't think so(By the way I don't really understand what it means... but i haven't install any custom things or hack)
volume down and the home button, and press power,
- Volume down is the only dead button on my phone, I can't use it anymore...
I tried what i could but it still stuck on the logo....
Uh volume down is a very big problem, you cant go in to recovery or in to download mode to fix your phone.
You can fix all software problems by your self, but all buttons need to finction.
Im sorry to say you may need to go and fix your button befor you can fix your boot problem.

There's a guide for unbrick an LG L5, just google it
Edit: Sorry, I didn't see the "II", my bad. But you can try the same for your model.
Actualy just fornd out to factory reset it you just need hold vol up and vol down at the same time and press and hold power till the phone vibrates, but you still need the vol down button.

At step 20, I don't have the "Select country and language" window: it opens the LG update tool but without anything,... I think i've done the previous steps correctly...
Make sure you installed the driver for your phone from lg on to your pc.

Ok, so I connected my bricked LG phone, then I started the 'Automatic Offline Procedure' and set "On" on the Windows Enabler, R&D Test Tool opened, I put the .kdz, click on "Normal Web Upgrade" then "Uprade start".
And the LG Mobile Support opens itself insteed of the LG Flasher, without possibilities: I've already download the drivers on this one: and now I can't see those drivers anymore if I remake this procedure (as you can see on my screen).
I've also downloaded "LGUnitedMobileDriver" for my phone just before that. So I don't think it's a driver problem ...
Where am I wrong?

http://www.google.rs/url?sa=t&sourc...1AAs6SxWvnydbHaJ8z-GNCg&bvm=bv.77880786,d.ZGU
Try it with one of theas links, befor you use them, re install mobile drivers, btw if you dont see mobile drvers runing or installed in programs see if thay show up when you enable LGmobile modem.
im not sure any of this will work i have the 1 l5 but it worked for me.

Hi,
wednesday, while I took photos, my p700 running CM10.2 by cr3pt suddenly rebooted, and started a bootloop. I tried to enter into the recovery, but all I got was a black screen. I plugged it into my PC, but couldn't use ADB since USB debugging was not enabled. I plugged it into my PC, force my device to go in Emergency Mode, with the yellow screen showing " emergency mode ", and used LGMobile Support Tool to flash the stock firmware. After the process, it rebooted, but got stuck on the Vodafone Logo until it ran out of battery. I tried to force an hard reset, but it got me to a screen showing : " Recovery Mode : Using this mode, service center can back up and recover your data. Press and hold the POWER button more than 8 seconds to reboot and continue using this phone. "
Then, I used the LG PC Suite to flash again a firmware, hoping this would help, but as with the LGMobile Support Tool, I get stucked with the Vodafone Logo.
I'd like to back up my photos on my PC, even if it doesn't unbrick my phone, but any solutions for unbricking would be obviously amazing !
Any solutions ?
Adrien
( Sorry for the mistakes, I'm a french teen )
EDIT : I managed to flash a stock rooted firmware with a custom recovery, v20a if I'm right with KDZ. Then, I managed to go into CWM, formatted data, system, and cache, and I restored a previous backup. I recovered my pictures with DiskDigger !

Yeah, I thought so, but according to some forums, flashing those stock firmwares only wipe data, system, dalvik and cache so my photos may still be there...
And I just tried with KDZ Updater, same effect, can't manage to get it booting successfully...

Hell nah ! ((
Well, I have just to wait for an other method to unbrick my device...
Thanks for answering !
I was trying to flash custom ROM on my device Symphony w125 (MT6589 probably). So i flash it with CWM. after that phone is soft brick!
Its on bootloop.
Then flash TWRP from CWM. So now also boot the stock rom with TWRP.
But still in bootloop.
So,
Then i tried to flash stock ROM with Sp Flash tool but failed.
Because i can not go into meta mode. And every time i plug device into laptop with cable it just plug in and plug out continuously. So can't flash the stock ROM.
Any luck? if anybody can help me with that i will be thankful.
I tried this
But i cant install the driver in pc. Because in device manager there show MT65XX , but it just appear and gone. Because phone plug in and plug out one after another.
