Just rooted my Verizon note 3 and installed safestrap, It is on nc4. Could someone please explain the next step for installing a custom rom?! Or is there a video out there?!

Check Beans thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=53508270
Go to second post for instructions and you're using the NC4 ota set of instructions. Some of which you've done already since you're rooted and have safestrap installed. You can pretty much flash any NC2 or NC4 rom in the development thread as long as it's a retail rom and not something for the developer edition of the n3. If you decide to play with Jasmine read his instructions multiple times as his rom is a s5 port for the note 3 and it doesn't seem as straight forward as NC2/NC4 roms.
Another point, flashing the nc2 kernel must be done with Odin and you're phone must be put in download mode. There may be some videos too, check the development threads in the first three to four posts of each rom thread.
Edit: Also, if you've never used Odin @az_biker has an instructional thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2576104, it's not hard at all.

I'm extremely new at rooting and flashing roms, so please excuse my ignorance. I have a Verizon Note 3 SM-900V. I'm running Android 4.4.2 and my Baseband version is NC4. I've rooted it using"TowelRoot" and have installed Safestrap 3.72. I've booted into recovery partitioned slot 1 and wiped it. Then I installed HyperdriveRLS7.zip I hit reboot after it says it's finished installing the rom. Whenever I try to boot into the rom (slot 1), my screen goes black and my blue LED light stays on. I also tried flashing the rom named "hltevzw.Jellybeans.zip" and it does the same thing. Am I doing something wrong or is anything incompatible with the other? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.

First of all you need to know that you cannot use rom slots on NC4 only the stock slot. You can use the stock slot to flash custom roms.
Second you need to update you firmware to the so-called unified firmware which is simply what you currently have and the NC2 kernel which can be found here. Just follow the instructions and you'll be good to go.
Third you should upgrade to Safestrap 3.75 found here.
If you have soft bricked your phone (this will be the case if after pulling the battery you cannot boot into Safestrap, you'll need to flash the stock firmware via odin which can be found here, reroot, and then follow the above directions.
Now once you get all this taken care of you can flash a custom rom. Any rom based on NC2/NC4 will work, however any rom based on any earlier firmware will not work and may softbrick your phone, Jellybeans being one of them. Make sure you read the OP (Original Post) before flashing anything. Know what you are flashing, if you are unsure there are many many forum posts to read through that are full of info.
If you have any other questions just ask.
Many Thanks!
Glad to help.
I have purchased a Moto X. Do you have any knowledge on flashing roms on it? I hate to be a bother.

Download towel root app and install. You are now rooted. Install safe strap 3.75 from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2517610
Now you have custom recovery. You can now install custom TW rooms from the VZ android development thread.
^^^^this but if you have NC4 out the box Jasmine Rom is the only one that supports NC4 kernel. You can odin the NC2 kernel and flash any TouchWiz rom.
You can do it I did no problems, easy as it can get. Also install Super SU and busybox, don't forget to run them.

After you run towel root and you're rooted you then install busy box then safe strap. Most custom roms have busy box installed already.
I just recieved my replacement Note 3 from Verizon yesterday and gained root access/set up safestrap a few hours ago. I have Alliance downloaded and on my sd card, but after I flash alliance in safestrap + reboot, I get nothing but a black screen. I have to pull the battery and go back into SS. I'm on an NC4 model, using SS 3.72, and am using ROM slot 1 to install.
Do I have to use the stock ROM slot?
If so, how do I backup my stock slot so that I may restore if things get messed up?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I'm sorry if these are fairly nooby questions, thanks!
You need to get the nc2 kernel and flash it with odin. I found a video on YouTube to help. Look up the nc2 on xda download it get newest version of odin unless you already have it. Odin goes on your pc by the way. go on youtube and look up surg rises. The video is Called how to flash nc4 OVA instead of doing what he is with the nc4 use nc2 like I did and it works like a charm. The video to me is easier than say step by step on forum in my opinion. Hope this helped you. If you need more help just ask.

Hi guys,
I recently got my s4 and found out it had a locked bootloader, boo. After a lot of research I was able to get it to install safestrap with Imperium rom. I also had to change my modem and went through the steps to changing it like 3 times and ended up on NJ4. I was previously on MF3 and had great signal but after all these changes and going to NJ4, it seems my signal has gotten worse. I want to know if I can change my modem on the fly with a zip or something faster through safestrap or do I have to go through all the odin steps again in order to change? Its a lot of damn work and very time consuming, so I thought I would ask before doing. I do not think I can even go back to MF3, right? I followed these steps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-att/general/guide-odin-to-stock-updating-rooting-t2926642
Thanks for any help,
Jose
You can flash a modem zip with safestrap. See rockrat's modem thread in the general forum.

Thanks for the info. I never go to the general thread but I guess I should start. Lol
Please excuse these (probably) common questions. I have a rooted SGH-I337 running NC1 firmware, currently with Safestrap installed (stock otherwise). I'm interested in unlocking the bootloader if a method has been developed yet for this firmware.
If not, how can I install OTA updates? I don't need an in-depth explanation if there's already a thread on this -- just a link will do. My searches weren't coming up with anything definitive.
Finally, has anyone been able to install Lollipop from this setup? If so, a link would be awesome.
Thanks everyone, and my apologies for the ridiculous questions that I am sure are common around here.

Yes, they are common. You can not unlock the bootloader. If and when an ota comes out you're most likely going to have to flash the nb1 tar file and return to stock before the ota will work. Lollipop is not out for the i337 yet. They're are some custom Roms but they don't work in safestrap.
