tested Rooting guide on MB 508( very simple and working)

just as reference: a link for those who are facing any difficulty to root their device( including other devices as listed in the thread)
follow the guide and root your motorola, hope to have at least a bunch of roms for this dummy soon...:-|
if any one knows about exactly which recovery works great and perfect for 508 instead of defy and flipout, would be highly appreciated, also if you can please direct to the link of any rom( already been tested) like modified eclair with more space( like 100 mb plus apps to sd and possibly 2nd partition to SD Card, would be a charm to use this device)

Heating problem..overclocking or underclocking??

Hi,
My N4 has heating problem, when I do a phone call for certainly long duration it get heaten up.
I need a kernel to underclock my CPU..
Can somebody tell me which kernel should I use to solve my purpose?

There are many around. I personally use Franco. Try all and find what suits your phone best. All kernels can be under clocked and under volted.

I am on PA 3.15 with trinity kernel.
It doesn't has any such option of underclocking/undervolting.

Download an app like trickster mod. Settings for all of that should be there.

Android 5.0 Lollipop Release Date Schedule: What Devices Will Get The New Update?

The Android 5.0 Lollipop release date schedule will depend on each individual OEM, but we already have a fairly good idea of what devices are in like to get Android 5.0 Lollipop. Naturally Google has confirmed that the Nexus 6, Nexus 9, Nexus 5, Nexus 7, Nexus 10 and Google Play Edition devices. Even older Nexus devices like the Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 (2012) will get the Android 5.0 Lollipop showing that Google has truly optimized the OS so that it can run on older gen devices just as well as the newest flagships.
Update: The Nexus devices will start getting the Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA update starting Nov. 3
Nexus and Google Play Edition Android 5.0 Lollipop Release Date Schedule
The fact that the Nexus 4 will be getting the Android 5.0 Lollipop update was confirmed by Sascha Pruter, “I know there is a meme for this somewhere but... be assured the missing "Nexus 4" in the Lollipop update notice is just a mistake, we are fixing it now Now please put down your pitchforks again and let's have some candy !” he said on Google+. Android Police confirmed the Nexus 7 (2012) would also get the Android 5.0 Lollipop update despite its modest storage and Tegra 3 processor. When it comes to the release date schedule, we expect that the Android 5.0 Lollipop update will roll out to the Nexus devices first, with the Nexus 5 being the first to get it OTA, followed by the Nexus 7 (2013) and Nexus 10. LG hasn’t officially provided an Android 5.0 Lollipop release date schedule yet, but the LG G3 should certainly get it. Other LG devices aren’t quite certain, though CNET says the LG G2 Pro, LG G2 and the LG G Pro are all likely.

OnePlus One Android 5.0 Lollipop Release Date Schedule
The Android 5.0 Lollipop release date schedule was confirmed on the OnePlus forum. The update will come to the OnePlus One 3 months after the release of Google releasing the final Android 5.0 Lollipop build.
Friends, So a lot - I mean, a lot - of people are asking about whether we'll be getting on the Android L train. It was announced while I was asleep and when I got back to work the morning after, there were already a bunch of forum posts and (strangely) customer support requests about it. Well, we're keen to announce today that the OnePlus One will indeed be getting the L treatment. When, you ask? That depends on Google. We promise to have it done within three months of their releasing a final build.
Sony Android 5.0 Lollipop Release Date Schedule
Sony has announced that the ENTIRE Xperiz Z series will get the Android 5.0 Lollipop update.This includes the Sony Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Compact and other Sony devices released within the past year don’t get an update.
Since the initial reveal of the Android “L” Developer Preview, we’ve seen lots of questions on our upgrade roadmap about our plans – so, here goes…
We’ll be making Sony Mobile’s Android “L” upgrade available for the entire premium Z series*: including Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1S, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 Compact, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3v, Xperia Z3 Compact and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. Sony Z Ultra Google Play edition devices will be first up – we’ll be back with more details on that soon.
We’ll start the upgrade at beginning of 2015 for the core Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z2 series – continuing thereafter for all remaining devices above.
We’ve been working hard to bring this major update to as many of our Z Series devices as we can, as quickly as we can.
