Database Users

We need a clean DVP ROM!

Somebody please help us out here, we need a pristine backup.
Basically just get a fresh DVP, back it up, upload the the whole damn folder somewhere and share the link to one of us. I would like to see if a backup from another phone would work. I desperately need to revert back so I can get the firmware upgrade, as do others on this website.

DVP has little, if no, developers.
its sad. but truth is, our device "just works"

theoretically, this could work using the method in this thread. If someone wants to try with the ROM they have on the thread, or with a fresh DVP ROM...

hi guys, afters countless hours of google finally i found a 7008 dvp rom in a chinese forum, im downloading finally after a lot of work cuz to download it you need to register in the site and google translator doesnt work because of the way the site is programmed.
anyways, i still dont have the device to test it (ill be receiving it this week). but if anyone wants to try to play with it there it is: EDIT: (when trying to post i got this message: *To prevent spam to the forums, ALL new users are not permitted to post outside links in their messages. I just got it, to download the file do the following:
translate the page by google
then click on copy download bottom beside the link code
then press on allow access on the security dialog that will pop up after
now you got the file
but I think it may be a backup more than a ROM, any way I'll download it and inform you what is it?

I'll take a look at it during lunch.
Ok I took a look and it is just a backup...can't do anything with it.

Guys, just received my dvp a few minutes ago, it looks amazing and it's has a 7004 rom. if you guys can help me to dump it im sure it can be very useful for the community

If you would like to test a few things for for a few days before you update sure.
First thing:
Dial ##634#
Go to RD Test
Enter *#6336#
Scroll down to about
Enter in 983 into the box
it might take a min to load
this is the file browser (just for you to see...cant really do anything in there)
Next we will actually update you to nodo so we can use a filebrowser. Give us a few days to figure this out.

Help a newbie plz

Hello friends, i need some help from you guys. I am currently stuck in china for 2 years and i bought a lenovo thinkpad 32g 3g. the problem is that lenovo doesnt allow access to google store. so i am having great difficulty to find applications for my tablet. I was wondering if there was a safe way to change my rom from chinese stock to another one where i wont get any of these chinese restrictions. Kindly note that i am an absolute beginner in this field. so i wont understand complex ways of doing it. the maximum i managed so far, is only to get my device rooted. Any suggestions from expert friends out there? Thanks.

To my knowledge there is no way around the Chinese Internet firewalls. And for the future please(plz) post in the proper section this has nothing to do with development and should have been posted the the Question(Q&A) section.

My interest was not to by pass chinese firewall...this can already be done by proxy server like freegate.... i wanted to know if someone could modify a script that i could apply, so that for the next update my phone will get updated to the row version instead of the sw.

Of course, I was willing and able to root the phone then edit the gps.conf file and then apply the changes using the FasterFix app. If you're a noob then it's kind of complicated and since you'll be groping around in the innards of your phone's file system there's wide scope for breaking something. I sort of knew what I was doing and I soft-bricked my phone twice. But if you're willing to take the risk,,,
Unless of course there's an app which will do all the above risk-free, but if there is, I didn't find it...

I cant install the phone to use ADB software

In some Chinese stores offer the service to root, then there must be tools, which so far no one makes public.
In etoltak have a Rom, someone could also make it public.

hey try this tool ZhuoDaShi-2.2.0-setup
google it and download and install it on your computer if you are using a windows pc
then connect you lenovo and the software should recognize your device and give you a button so as to
root your device
note ;this software is not multi lingual so you will have to bear with the mandarian or something

take alook on system/etc gps conflict .... i think the script not support for europe .. so you should .. put another script for supprot your location

If you just updated to the 4.1.1 OTA updated pushed by Lenovo, there is no current rooting solution (simple PC tool) at the moment... this is what I summed up from the Chinese Lenovo forums...
I don't actually have the phone here to try and root it again somehow (was rooted by the chinese seller when he shipped it, before the OTA...)

1) GPS not working in my Lenovo S890 i edited the Gps.cfg file on y rooted 4.0 phone. but still not working. could send me the files? Gps was working in china but not in India it keep searching.

Is anyone using this phone in the US? It doesn't seem to have 1900 PCS band. By the way, gps works pretty well here.

W90 Smartwatch (need help)

Hi,
I've just bought the w90 watch and try to flash it. I follow the steps for flash a mtk 6260a but I have some problem:
-first I have a empty backup folder so I can't replace it with the original one :-/
- when I flash the watch, I've sound, the watch vibrate, making a sound when i plug on the usb, with some firmware i've sound when i click the menu button, with other I can power off and have the sound too, the only problem is that I have a black screen with all the firmware I tested.
When I flash it, I've the green circle at the end (with 95% of the firmware i've tested).
I try to flash mine because I see on internet these watch with a better menu (more colorfull, background, more theme, more watch face).
I've spend my day searching how to fix my w90 watch.
And finally, i found the original firmware here: downloads.tinydeal.com/Tools_to_write_IMEI.rar (the firmware is in the archive with SN write tool)
I hope that'll help some people with this watch.

Can I change the original watchface with all the watchfaces compatible with the DZ09 (there are a lot of beautiful watchfaces posted in XDA by other members)?
Have I any limitation about the dimension in KB of the watchfaces?
If yes, could I flash any other firmware to the W90 (for example, any other firmware compatible with the 6260a chipset)?

Ever get any help with this. Like an idiot I flashed the firmware here and same results. Shifted screen. Also cannot find any other compatible firmware.

When I reply to messages on my w90, I it tells me to delete, block and something else.. I have to hit ok to delete but it doesn't delete message.. It then brings me to reply etc.. When I reply, it seems to send me a the reply 6 times instead of one.. What do I do

X02S (May be known as X01S Plus) MT6580 512MB Ram 8GB Storage Android 5.1 Rom Request

This watch is a bit of an unknown as not much info on the web, although it is being sold on chinese websites like Aliexpress.
It looks identical to the X01S posted here https://forum.xda-developers.com/sm...ourtime-x01-tenfifteen-x01plus-omate-t3571737 however has a different processor (this has a MT6580), and only 512MB Ram.
The reason I have opened this thread is to see if anyone has a SP Flash backup of this watch that they can share, or know the whereabouts of the factory rom. Sadly MTK Tool does not appear to support MT6580 or Android 5...however I believe after reading that a SP Flash backup can be created using Miracle Box software.
This watch does not appear to have a recovery. It does have a chinese menu if you hold the two buttons in on a cold boot which is hit and miss, but looking at the translation from 4pda its not a recovery as such...
Unfortunately my baseband went to unknown while I was trying to intergrate google play store...I have no idea how, and I am know stuck with the android logo and no launcher..so im stuffed without the SP Flash... in the same boat as others from the above x01 link looking at recent posts.
Any help appreciated.

Model: X02S (however under battery it says on a ribbon cable X01S)

Very good initiative. For me the watch worth the money. Just to say that SPFlash tools and MTK Droid Tools do support the MTK6580 processor and that's is just what you need to backup a ROM or recover a watch.

I've sent off loads of emails to sellers on aliexpress asking if they know where to get factory firmware. BUT i wouldnt hold our breath for a response.
SO, if anyone reading this has a working X02S with MTK6580 cpu and 512mb ram, please, please, please make a SP Flash backup and post on this thread if possible. You would be helping a few people out from the above thread too. Thanks

HOWEVER, I have found someone on Amazon UK who sells the watch called WearableMall, who has the SP Flash files and is willing to send them to me/us. Only problem is the chinese firewall and web restrictions are making it difficult to get the files to me/us. Any recommendations? I think most file sharing websites are blocked over there. I even offered access my private FTP and website, but he can't access.

You don't need MTK Tools to work directly with the watch. You just need a readback ROM from SPFlash and MTK converts it to a working ROM. It is all explained in the first post of this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/sm...ourtime-x01-tenfifteen-x01plus-omate-t3571737

A Chinese Seller (WearableMall) of the MTK6580 version of the X01S/X02S smartwatch has sent me the SP Flash Firmware files for the MTK6580. I have flashed my watch with the files and my watch is now working. Only thing I need to do is fix the imei number with my original. Ive even made a Magisk root patched boot image,which works
Just want to say a BIG thankyou to WearableMall on Amazon Uk for sending the firmware files when no one else would. If you are going to buy one of these MTK6580 based watches then I would definately buy from WearableMall. All the aliexpress sellers I messaged either didnt answer or said can't help.

If you are thinking of buying...buy from WearableMall, as they helped me/us even though I did not get the watch from them (I bought second hand).
Please use these files at your own risk. connerESP has pointed out that they contain user data (self explainetary), and secro (Stores IMEI number and baseband???) so make sure you have good backups of your IMEI number, and data before flashing. We accept no responsibility if you dont know what your doing, loss of imei, data etc etc.

I formatted and flashed with all the above files to my X01S /X02S MTK6580 watch. The watch was dead, and is now working. I did however have to reset my unique and original IMEI number using the engineer mode on the watch after the flash. Please google how to flash and change IMEI on MTK devices as that is outside the scope of this thread, and is covered in loads of places on the net.
If anyone manages to make a custom rom from the above files, then please share on this thread. Thanks
