TF101 Charging

I need to know what the part # or name is for the internal charging port. That whole part is completely broken. It just has a flat connector that attaches to the charging port. Thanks

USB cable who turn yellow on the tips, possibility of burning?

Hello,
I have my phone S4 since launch and today I have noticed my USB cable (retail) turning to a bit yellow black at the tips of the usb.
I show on the red part where the USB cable is going to be yellow/dark
It is possibly of burning or dirty?
What i should do thanks.

I don't know if it is my monitor my eyes or i simply can't see anything wrong because there isn't ...
I can see it (off colour)
Its dirty
Saftey devices will trip long before this usb cable burns.
No need to worry just clean it.

More photos here for you can see it more clearly. It's on the both tips of the usb charger side and phone side for usb.

I wouldn't worry about it.
It is common for some white cables to turn to a yellow colour

Anyone to know if i can trade the USB/Charger back to the warranty?
this does not look good, that to me looks for sure like the cable is burning.
Have you tried touching cable while charging? Is it getting hot?
Another thing to check is, is the area of discolourasion either really soft or really hard in comparison the the "normal" part of the cable or a new cable?
If so then I'd strongly suggest getting a new cable and never using the cable again, cause if it is faulty, there is a chance of fire.
All Assuming of course it actually is faulty.

When he charging the part of the cable aren't getting so hot. Just the charger himself is hot and the phone. After to charge to 100%, he cut the charge and he isn't hot.
Well I touch while cable when charging. He is not so hot. Just normal.
I'll buy a new charger and new cable for my device so thanks for your advice mate.

Edit: Contacted Samsung / Center repair. Apprently it's just dirty from them.

Charger not charging correctly

Hello,
My s4 no longer charges correctly. I think the end part of my cable is bent as I have to push the cable up for the phone to charge or turn it around. My cable has been doing this for a couple a days now since I dropped my bag on it. I have tried using other old cobbled and they work except they charge extremely slowly. I have tried bending it back and this works for a while and then just bends back to the not normal position. Please let me know you know how to fix this problem.
Thank you.

[Q] Find IMEI on G2 with cracked screen?

I am a repair tech and I recently bought an LG G2 with a cracked screen. The screen does not respond to touch, so I am unable to get into the device settings and check the IMEI. Is there any way to check the IMEI without going into the settings?
OTG cable, connect mouse and try again
As robogo1982 has said, use OTG cable along with an usb mouse.
Good luck.
May be a dumb observation but my Verizon g2 has the iemi on a sticker on the back of the phone. Yours doesn't?

My d802 also had the sticker. First thing I did was remove it though. I sticked it on my laptop, perhaps the owner of the phone did something similar..? (Probably not )

Can you get it to boot or is USB debugging on ? Because apparently this returns your imei :*adb shell dumpsys iphonesubinfo

Replacing i9505 vibrator

Seen a video on YouTube, doesn't look too hard but want to be extra safe because I've never opened the s4 ever. So has anyone managed to replace the vibrator without messing anything up and how hard is it?

hi mate,
I replaced a few things on the S4 before never the vibrator , except the LCD/digitizer the rest is fairly easy...of course depends on how skill you are.
to open the body use a guitar pick or a corner of and old plastic card ( credit card type ) to wiggle between both parts of the phone body

Hi
it depends , ebay sells them original and "quality replacement" the link below has them but not for the I9505
https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Samsung+Galaxy+S4+Teardown/13947
but should not be a problem to find it
Am I Right to say the i9505 and i9500 vibrator is the same?
