I need to know what the part # or name is for the internal charging port. That whole part is completely broken. It just has a flat connector that attaches to the charging port. Thanks

As the title says, my usb port is loose. Will sprint repair or replace it if its loose, or do I have to wait until its completely broke?

Do you have tep?
Yup I sure do, but wouldn't that fall under the warranty anyway?

Take it to a Sprint corp. repair center. They'll diagnose the port and determine if it is a manufacture defect or user abuse.
Make sure it's the port and not the cable. Stock cable is ****ty and loose for me after a few months, kindle cable, however, is nice and secure.
I have a mesmerize and my port/cable is also messed up bad cable I think

Take it to a Sprint repair store. They give out the thicker data cables.
I'm having the same problem. I tested it with my brother who has an epic 4g as well and it was brand new 1 day old when i tested it and his cable fit loosely in my epic but fine in his. My cable fit well in his and loosely in mine. I remember it used to be very robust and now its pathetic and flies out all the time. What's the root of the problem?
Whenever the USB cable is plugged into the phone I always pick up the cable and the phone at the same time so I don't put too much pressure on the port.
I wish Samsung put the port on the bottom of the phone instead of on top.

i went about a couple weeks ago for my phone to repair....they tried charging me because the usb port was loose...i made enough of a scene for them to just want to repair it
I broke the bottom right pin on my charging connect on phone. I have he Main board from a different streak is it possible to swap the connectors? The other board has a video issue.

If your extremely good on soldering extremely small pins on a pcb board.
Look up the teardown pics of the streak and look how hard it'd be. I'd recommend against it. Also have you called dell to see if they'll fix it under warranty? Another option is to buy a desktop battery charger, or just use the streak with video issues to charge the battery.

Bought a brand new Nexus 7 and it won't charge unless I twist it put pressure on it. Is this a common problem straight outta the box!!?? I already returned it once today because original one I bought had been open.

No problem here, just to make sure u use the provided USB cable and the provided power adapter
my usb cable is messed up. The small connector - the plastic piece that has the usb symbol on it is loose and it just comes off.. I dont really want to return the device just for that because mines is charging fine but still... it's kind of a nuisance.
Have a look at this please http://youtu.be/rGcQA033E84
My Note is charging when there is no cable plugged in, everytime I switch the screen off it comes back on and stays on. Does anyone know what is wrong?...last night I was charging my phone and took the battery out so it could have damaged my device, I also flashed eybee's JB rom the day before but I don't think its the rom.
Soubds like you have crap in your charging port. Try cleaning it with a pin or something small.
I had same issue and it turned out the micro usb port was really dirty.

Hello,
I have my phone S4 since launch and today I have noticed my USB cable (retail) turning to a bit yellow black at the tips of the usb.
I show on the red part where the USB cable is going to be yellow/dark
It is possibly of burning or dirty?
What i should do thanks.

I don't know if it is my monitor my eyes or i simply can't see anything wrong because there isn't ...
I can see it (off colour)
Its dirty
Saftey devices will trip long before this usb cable burns.
No need to worry just clean it.

More photos here for you can see it more clearly. It's on the both tips of the usb charger side and phone side for usb.
I tried to clean also he won't go

I wouldn't worry about it.
It is common for some white cables to turn to a yellow colour

Okay thanks mate but my friend have a s4 her usb isn't yellow like mine
I'm more afraid any day I will see my s4 burned by this and if this happen the warranty will work?
Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
Anyone to know if i can trade the USB/Charger back to the warranty?
this does not look good, that to me looks for sure like the cable is burning.
Have you tried touching cable while charging? Is it getting hot?
Another thing to check is, is the area of discolourasion either really soft or really hard in comparison the the "normal" part of the cable or a new cable?
If so then I'd strongly suggest getting a new cable and never using the cable again, cause if it is faulty, there is a chance of fire.
All Assuming of course it actually is faulty.

When he charging the part of the cable aren't getting so hot. Just the charger himself is hot and the phone. After to charge to 100%, he cut the charge and he isn't hot.
Well I touch while cable when charging. He is not so hot. Just normal.
I'll buy a new charger and new cable for my device so thanks for your advice mate.
