anyone have any updates on this issue. Issue being the reception is really really poor. I am getting 3g when i should be getting Lte. As soon as i revert back to touchwiz, i get great lte. I know its not an area issue. Flashed the latest modem. double and triple checked apn settings. Currently set to lteapn

What modem are you running? Are you on NB7 modem? If not look in my signature for the guide.

I am currently running AOKP MR1 Milestone 1, and everything so far seems to work, but the cellular data. I have an AT&T SIM, and it was working on the stock ROM. Can anyone tell me which APN they are using? I have it set to ATT LTE which I know it does not have LTE, but I have also tried setting it to the ATT WAP.Cingular, and ATT Broadband, I looked under the About Tablet > Status and it shows Network State as either disconnected, or Connecting... it's never connected anymore. Can anyone tell me what theirs is set to, and if you are using the AOKP MR1 Milestone 1 ROM? Tried it with, and without the stock Kernel if that matters.
Thanks in advance.

Did you make sure you downloaded for Tilapia instead of Grouper. One will work; one will not. Also, you may want to use more Nightly Builds, as the problems may be more likely to be fixed then.
Yes. I got it running under the ATT Broadband setting. I just had t wait a little while. Thanks for the input.
After my device boots, it will get LTE for about a minute or so then switch to a 3G connection. The only way to get the LTE connection back is to toggle Airplane mode, or reboot. Toggling Mobile Data only gets me a 3G connection. I've let it sit on 3G expecting it to switch back to LTE after a few minutes, no go.
I did not notice this issue when I was on JellyBeans 4.3 Rom. I'm currently running a 4.4.2 Eclipse Rom. I've tried the MI9, MJE, NC2, and NC4 modem all with the same issue. I beginning to think that it's my SIM card that has gone bad. I'm having a new SIM ordered so I can replace it.
Does anyone else have anything that I could try as troubleshooting?

I'm not sure if it's the SIM card that is causing your problem. Just curious....what network mode do you have selected? Global or LTE/CDMA?
If you have "Global" selected, you may want to switch to "LTE/CDMA" and see if that helps.
It could also be EclipseRom. I love the features and looks of AOSP, but my own phone always seems to have a weaker radio signal when I'm on that Rom as compared to true TW Roms.
You may want to further troubleshoot by flashing a different Rom to see if you still get the same LTE drop-offs.

I was on LTE/CDMA then it asked to switch itself to Global mode a few times. Eventually I told it OK. I've noticed no difference with this mode. I've tried JasmineROM and EclipseRom. Both had the same issue. I never had this issue on JellyBeanz 4.3 ROM, so it could be 4.4.2. I'll be trying the new SIM card first, since I'm getting it tomorrow, if that fails I'm going to go on a flash spree and see what happens.
On that note, if I wanted to go back to 4.3, can I? I read somewhere that I can just Odin back to 4.3. I also read somewhere that going from 4.4.2 -> 4.3 will brick the device.
Got a new SIM from Verizon. All is working now.

Go to a Verizon store and get a new SIM card. That's what I had to do.

I'm glad that worked for you!
Hello! Been using my phone for quite some time with LTE activated and working fine. Flashing custom roms and trying out fresh modems i suddenly noticed that I can only get E, H and H+ data connectivity. My LTE connection is gone. I've already checked with my provider and they said that my account is still activated. I went back to stock rom, gone through all the settings and still no LTE. So I'm wondering is it possible to fry the LTE receiver chip on my phone from over use? Are there similar incidents out there? Is there a fix?

If you dial *#*#4636#*#* do you get the testing menu? If so, go into Phone Information and check you are set to LTE/GSM auto or similar.
Otherwise, maybe you have flashed an incompatible LTE modem?
Since the update to Lollipop I have terrible cell signal and constantly drop calls. My data is fine. I want to flash back to the KK modem but in reading I saw something mentioning the Kernel controls the cell signal. Is that correct and flashing the modem will be pointless?
Thanks

Are you with Verizon? If not, have you checked with your carrier to update your APN?
If you are with Verizon, I would address the problem with them. Just dial *611 if you don't want to go there.
I have already spoken to Verizon. They checked and said I'm on the outskirts of coverage and tried to cell me the range extender.

Afternoon all,
So, I'm in the US and on AT&T and couldn't get the 6.0 OTA update. I'm wildly guessing because phone is So Am and not No Am, so AT&T wouldn't update in the north. Update went fine, no issues that I can find with the the phone except now mobile data will not connect to 4g in my area. I have 2 G900m's, one is on 6.0.1 and the other is still on 5.0 . 5.0 connects to 4g, 6.0.1 connects to 3g...sitting right next to each other.
So. I know there are slight radio freq differences with the 900m. Is it possible that the firmware version i chose did not activate the 4g band when I updated? Any idea how I can tell which 900M stock roms would re-activate the 4g bands?
Or am I better off going back to 5.0 and living with it?
hmmm.. Looking at the AT&T update page, perhaps I should have tried with an update with as close to the baseband version as possible...CPH3 is what AT&T has and I'm running CPC3 which is Trinidad, I'll give the Argentine version a go (since my phone was originally a moveistar splash screen.
Thanks.
Well, that didn't fix the issue. Even though I'm connecting through AT&T towers, the data is connecting on CDMA. This isn't something the provider can affect is it? At least it's H+ instead of H...not sure how much of a boost that is though.
Let this be a lesson to you youngens....purchase a dang phone for YOUR region. oy!
pfft. ... .42Mbs down boy does that STINK!
Ok...YES I AM AN ID10T!!!
Mobile networks was defaulted to cdma...changed the default to LTE...wouldn't ya know it....4g. Put a fork in me...I'm done.
