Hello all, I'm attempting to follow this guide to flashing back to stock, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476 on a Verizon LG G2 VS980. I am currently stuck in a boot loop after wiping everything in twrp, I can get into download mode but when I plug in my phone it cannot find the drivers for CDC Serial, CDC ECM, and LGE Android Phone. Since It cannot find the drivers I cant manually change the port to COM41. I have no ideas on what to do. Please help.
Follow this guide instead, using the 11A *.tot file instead of the 24A *.kdz...
VERIZON ONLY Revert to stock GUIDE [UPDATED]

I've had no luck flashing the *.kdz following the guide you linked to. On the other hand I've never had a problem following the above procedure. Since you'll be flashing 11A instead of 24A, you'll first need to update to 12B and then 24A via OTA or software update.

Hi everyone,
I am having issues with this phone of mine. Here is a background of it:
My phone is rooted and is running rayglobe rom. I tried updating the update that it gave me and made me stuck in bootloop.
Now I downloaded another rom, which I don't remember since this happened december 2013. after flashing, it does not boot and does not make me go to TWRP anymore. Now I tried using download mode to restore my phone. but eveytime I try to flash (using the 2 methods I saw in the thread), either it hangs at 49% or the other one does not start flashing because it says I have inconsistent dll? I downloaded a D802 stock rom and tried flashing via download mode and it says that I have different model (F380K). Now I tried downloading a dll and F380K stock rom, but won't allow me because it says that my phone is D802. But when I go to download mode it is korean and it says F380K.
I think I have flashed a korean rom before which made this incident happen, but do you have any idea how I can restore this?
Thank you all in advance.
If this was me, I would do a factory reset.
sounds like you should go back to stock firmware.

First check what exactly phone model in Internet Browser. Then download TOT and flash back to stock.

I faced similar problem with D800. I had the correct dll and the firmware but it failed saying my phone model was different (I think its because I tried the "upgrade recovery" option on the LG PC software by selecting a different model).
My phone was passing the LG screen and stuck at android boot screen.
What I did:
Pushed a kitkat based rom for D800 to sdcard using adb on Linux (on windows adb failed to recognise the device).
Then adb reboot recovery and flashed the rom.
Then I was able to flash the factory image.
Hello,
Recently I have been running AOSP rom on the LG G2, I tried to recently apply the 4.4.2 update via the ripped LG Gpro in android developement. However to my own stupidity I did not follow instructions correctly already being on 4.4.2. The rom flashed however not correctly, with exsesive over heating and no sim connection as well as many other bugs. I have tried to re-instal custom recovery but cannot due to the 4.4.2 update. I then tried to flash a Kdz file via lg software to downgrade back to 4.2.2 but it will not flash as it connects and states that I already have the most up to date software even after adding the 4.2.2 file.
The phone is stuck on the custom rom, it is now rooted via the normal method, unable to instal a custom recovery and have had no look re-flashing a stock or another rom via software.
Overall goal is to get back to stock, and take it from there. Can anyone surgest any alternative methods to re-flash standard rom or instal a custom recovery to then apply a different rom.
Other information, phone switches on and can connect to a pc and recognised. No issues to this style of use but not able to be used a phone.
Any information would be great,
Thanks,
Jordan
Looks like we now must use the offline method described here

LG software update has blocked downgrade path using the Flash Tool. If you're on T-Mo you MUST flash back to 80110c, NOT g.
I have a rooted LG G2 VS98012B with TWRP recovery and Cyanogenmod 11. I have tried this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476) method, but I always get a "page error" at 49%. It doesn't brick my phone or anything, I just need it to work, since I'm returning the device to Best Buy in 2 days.
Follow this method instead...

I've done it myself quite a few times without issue.
Folks,
I gave my rooted (mahdi rom) ATT G2 to my teenage son seeing I was no longer using it. He said he tried to update the Mahdi ROM and now it is bricked. From my questioning him all I know is when he was installing the mahdi update, but he did not flash the D800 patch. Noticing there was a problem I think he tried to re-flash recovery or something. All he would get is "fastboot mode".
I think I am a pretty smart guy and have been on XDA for years flashing and what not with no issues - but this one has me stumped. These are the steps I have taken:
1) Finally got it into download mode and when I try to flash the tot file for ATT, it says incorrect model. Says the model is the D801 (t-mobile)! I was like what?
2) So I tried to flash the D801 tot and it seemed to work, but the flash would ultimately "Fail" in the LG Flash Tool. It would boot up into the t-mobile rom but I would get errors and reboots - very unstable. AND the IMEI was wiped!
Does anyone have any ideas what I can try next? I would like to somehow change the model back to the D800 and flash the ATT tot file. Maybe it is truly just bricked!?!?
Any help would appreciated! Thanks!

if you can successfully root device with towelroot(best choice since it is not device specific) then your best bet is to copy d800 build.prop(or to play it safe edit the build.prop model number from LG-D801 to LG-D800) into system/ give it rw-r--r-- pemissions and reboot into download mode, it should say you have d800 and you should be able to flash back to d800 tot(might want to be using d800 dll that ignores model check too just in case)
Hi,
Really sorry if I'm re-treading ground.
I've soft bricked my D802T, I was running 4.4 and ran the Autorec (doh!).
Looking for a way out of the following:
Can run TWRP, but can't boot past the Optus boot screen. Tried wiping cache/dalvik, but does the updating apps and hangs. Don't have a saved recovery .
I can't get the USB to work to my computer as an external disk, but I did manage to run the LG Mobile Support tool (gadgetsacademy.com/restore-lg-g2-all-variants-stock-firmware)
Should I be "Upgrading recovery"? which might take me back to stock?
Sorry to go over something I'm sure has been covered, but I'm stressed out with this bricked phone!
Cheers,
Toby
