"Super" Spen

Hi guys.
Ive heard and seen that there is a smart Spen in Korea that also acts as a bluetooth caller. Supposedly its only available in Korea. Id love to get hold of one. Anybody seen it for sale?
I managed to get a different Spen recently with a rubber on the back end too

You got one with rubber on the back? Is it an actual Pen?

Its the same as the original Wacom Tablet Styli. Its the Standard S-Pen the only differences are that its the same size as a real pen, has a hook for shirt pockets and has a plastic but on tge end that acts as an on screen eraser. I got it from someone from Samsung. Seen it on Ebay though.

Play back to life!!!!

My plays flex cable bit the dust a few months ago but now I have successfully brought it back to life and it works just as good as ever!!
Ps. Installing the flex cable is not fun or easy lol for those who want to try. I broke the first flex cable I ordered doing it and had to order a second but now she works great! Prolly keep this as a secondary phone while im still in a rogers contract.

Another flex cable bites the dust. SE really went to town with the cheap components they used.
My PLAY will be out of warranty in about 4 months, thanks to the 2 year warranty in the uk, so I plan on opening and closing it several hundred times until it breaks so I can send it to the service centre to be fitted with a new one.

Its not the quality of the cable thats the problem it rubs against a metal peice everytime u open and close it. All they really had to do was put a plasitic protector over that metal peice lol. The stupid slide thing is riveted shut so I cant really do anything myself just keep throwing cables at it lol only 12 bucks on ebay

Hey can you link me where to get that flex cable? Mine went bad yesterday. Do you by chance have a guide or any pointers to change the cable as well? Thanks, I really appreciate your help.

They're on ebay all the time. Mine wore out but it was under warranty, they sent me a new phone as a replacement. I had already moved on to a modern Android phone so my brand new PLAY is still in a box. I like to take it out and look at it sometimes.

Ahh the flex cable issue...
Mine has never faulted, however I've replaced the cable in my friend's Xperia Play twice already.

Ya I think it happens because the slider gets loose causeing a pull on the cable and it rubs on the metal peices hard

Camera problem, fixed the hardware, now it's not focusing

So my camera broke. It was just the outside of the part, and the pictures didn't show a crack, but I still wanted to get it fixed. It turned out to be 50$ from one of the mall cell phone repair shops. Anyways he fixed it, but now my camera won't focus now. It tries, but then the thing goes red. Is this something he possibly did? Could it also be the rom I am now now? Like a bug?
Any help would be great.

I would think you got a defective camera if it's not working. Not too many things that I know of that would cause that issue if it was working fine before you replaced it unless you didn't make sure it was hooked up firmly.

Sounds defective. My friends did that. I ended up ordering the replacement camera for $20 on ebay. Next time consider replacing it yourself. It's very easy.

You'll need:
* Phillips #00 screw driver (I bought husky set at home depot for $5)
*guitar pick or plastic opening tool. Can also be bought on eBay.
Those are the tools I use.

I didn't follow a guide but watch this video. Its about how to take it apart. You'll have to only do the motherboard disconnection which is very simple

Touchscreen Help

Hey guys. I used my mates galaxy s7 edge for a week or 2 and loved it. I got myself one and the screen just is not very responsive. I can glide over my friends s7 and this I have to be firm in touch...
Any idea? Its brand new

Not trying to be funny, but make sure it's genuine. There are a lot of fakes out there that are plenty laggy.

Took it back to the shop and she had a go on it and said it was definitely faulty. Gave me new one straight away and works Judy like it should. Perfect.

Original back glass cover replacement

Has any of you guys replaced the back glass cover? Is there a retailer you would recommend me to buy it from? I need to purchase the original, not a fake one that will look cheap on the phone. Thanks.

I would like to know this as well.... Broke my old S5 and need the front screen and digitizer.
I ended up getting a new S7 edge with my wife so wasn't on the forefront of my mind. I'll look myself and post if I find anything decent to share.

Because repair shopes get cheap ebay parts and I didn't want that. Anyways I sold the phone. Thanks.
