For the last few months, my google now/search does not show nearby events card. It used to work great. I've cleared cache, cleared data, Uninstalled, reinstalled. Turning the app off then on temporarily brings it back and after a day, the nearby events card disappears again. Anyone else experiencing this?

And just like that, it's working again. Go figure.

I have researched this and could not find anything that applies. A few minutes ago after moving through several home screens but not selecting anything and no apps selected, I set the device down and lo and behold it had apparently rebooted without having been turned off and without the usual tmobile etc. happening on screen and was in the final stages of reboot with the Galaxy logo. This had to have happened in a matter of 1 or 2 seconds or less. I am stock but have rooted with the one click root. I have removed some bloat ware but nothing else has been done and only removed what was considered safe on other threads such as the bootup sound and telenav, amazon mp3 etc. This was all done about a week ago with no apparent issues and the device was operating in its usual smooth fashion. Prior to this I have had no issues except for the GPS. Is this something I should be concerned about and does anyone know what could have caused this? Any and all comments will be appreciated.
Delete all personal data, cache, after that it should turn on completely, but market may not work, you may need to download google apps, the same thing happen to me when I open google maps, the whole thing frooze on me

I'm having an issue recently with Navigation. To fix the issue, I have to clear maps data/cache but it comes back 1/2 days later:
Issue:
Navigation turn on fine, but when the voice speaks the directions, it keeps repeating the 1 single direction (from some past navigation session possibly) over and over. So even if I have to turn left in .5 miles, it will say "continue straight for 2 miles). When the turn comes up, it will again say "continue straight for 2 miles). The pattern keeps repeating. So right when its supposed to say the correct direction, it just repeats some old nonsense.
Any ideas?
Uninstall and re download

I think this happens when you restore Maps data from a backup. Did you use Titanium?

No I did not. Works a couple times, and then it happens. I then have to clear data/cache to make it work again.

happened to me on my old phone. that did the trick
So with my G2 running Clean Rom 1.0 I just started getting errors trying to download apps from the app store. Error 500 is what I get on wifi and on mobile data. I have tried resetting the APN, clearing cache and data on Google Play app and have wiped cache and dalvik cache with fix permissions. Still I get the 500 error, what else can I try besides factory resetting the device? Anyone?
Also I have searched and it seems no one goes past resetting the APN as a fix.
It works now.... Not phone related.. All my friends had this issue for the last half hour with the play store.. It started working now tho

Last night my phone was working perfectly and i didnt install any new apps yesterday so i dont know what caused this to happen...
At about 6am today i turned on my phone. it was all fine until i unlocked it. When i put in my pattern it unlocked and it showed a few of my icons for about half a second and then it came up with an error message saying that the launcher had crashed so i pressed "ok" and it came up again so i pressed "report" and then it said "market feedback agent has stopped" and went back to the launcher and came up with the first error again.
i was just thinking about a way of getting around all the errors to install a new launcher so then i could use my phone. i plugged in my earphones and used the button to start playing my music, then i unlocked my phone and quickly opened skype before the error came up again and then i went in my notifications and i could open Play Music from the notification, i had a notification for an app update so i clicked it and it opened the play store so i installed "go launcher ex" i tried going into my recent apps to change my song but it said "system ui" had crashed, i tried to get into my settings but that crashed too, i worked out that it was most of the stock apps and a few others like bbm that werent working.
device specifications:
Nexus 4
Android 4.3
Rooted
Stock rom
Stock kernal
I dont know what to do without losing everything? thank you for any help
rebooted already? This usually fixes a lot of probs.
cheers
This is happening to me to. I fix it by clearing the ram or closing all open apps. But it happens like once daily now. Any long term solutions?

same issue as here...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2513412
just different description... Just cleared google service framework data... will check back in on that thread after tomorrow morning and let you know if it works.
Same here. Bone stock and I don't even shut the phone off but overnight something happens to it and all apps crash. It sucks because it was my morning alarm but the clock app crashes without sounding the alarm.
If I reboot it will work perfect till the next morning, then all over again. Wiped and it still does it. Called it in and Google wasn't aware of anything so if you get this make sure and call Google so they know its widespread.
I cleared services framework and it solved it. So far, 2 days without infinite force closes

Same thing happened to me today. I rebooted into recovery, cleared cache, clear dalvik cache and reboot. Been fine since.

That did not fix it for me.
I got the infinite loop the next morning.
i tried re-booting but nothing happened, i had to go into recovery mode and reset my phone. now i wish i made a backup.
I haven't been getting those major crashes yet but after a while I can't open any apps or they "stop. " I think it has been happening ever since I returned to stock for the kit Kat update. Closing all the apps sometimes fixes it but that ruins my favorite part of the phone which is I can have all my stuff open all the time.

I'm still having this problem. Did everyone else fix it or did it just go away?

PLease help me, thank you
Have you tried clearing the cache for the apps causing issues? You could also try reinstalling them. Worst case a factory reset should clear whatever is causing the issue.

Yes I did that at first but then the problem is still there.
Are you rooted? What other mods have you done to the phone?
If your carrier is Project Fi, clear their app cache , I had that same problem as well as the phone kept on ringing for ever even when the call actually went to vm and the caller left a message
