Hello People, i was away from XDA for a long time as i switched to iOS (Because Android doing weird things)
i actually tried most of Samsung flagship Phones but then i bought this and somehow to me it felt like good old SII.
As i was away from Android Development i am not aware of changes happened so far, and i am having issues rooting this, i tried searching but couldn't find a good answer.
i use my phone just for Calling and Texting purpose but my friend who has same phone is dying to Root it, so please help me with this.
Thank You.

It's too bad that you didn't tell us how you tried searching since the answer you are looking for is easy to find here. And it would be constructive to discern how your search could have failed at the same time.
Towel root is said to not work for the 900H. So use the CF auto root method. If it doesn't work, then use Odin to revert to the oldest 4.4.2 firmware image that you can find for your model, then try again and it will work. Lots of elaboration in the forum if you need further details.
There is a wealth of information in existing details in existing threads if you search. Often answering your question immediately and invariably helping you ask more informed questions.

It is indeed.
My last post answered your question, so I have no idea what you are waiting on. All that you need to do is download the CF auto root script and use it. If you had described how you were searching e.g. what keywords you were using, I would have also helped you make more efficient searches too.
Google search: cf auto root xda
Good luck with rooting your phone.

Hi, Please dont get offended by this post
I have been on XDA forum for long time, I have never seen such a messed up forum the way SII's is.
Just got a SII, thought of flashing it, been lurking around in all the sub forums, there is too many information which is confusing. It is impossible for a person to flash his SII in a day, I have already spent three days trying just to find best possible way to root, even that seems tough now, cant it be made simple as it was on windows phone.. If all the developers can post files required for rooting along with their Rom in a seperate link, on the same page, it will be easier. Right now its like 'you can use my tyres for your car but you got to look for someone to fill the air some place else'. Sorry but this is what it really looks like!
It's simple really. Flash a rooted kernel an then you have root.

Sorry to say but..... this is just lazyness. Too easy to do it. On my first day of using the Galaxy S II, my first Android phone [I was using a Nokia N95-8GB], I've already got root, I've been able to delete crap from /system/app. Didn't take 3 days, and no dev will spend time writing a noob-guide of how to root, it's a basic thing where every Android user should do, and there are plenty of guides of how to root, and they are very easy. I think people should let the lazyness away and search for it, not writing useless threads complaining it's very hard.
Agree with the above. Rooting was the easiest part of starting to install a custom rom onto your galaxy s2
Funny though, how only you have a problem with rooting and everybody else is getting by somehow...
Have you tried looking in the sticky rollup, how about the huge guide on how to root your device?
If you take a moment to look at the stickies, everything you need is right there
Is the OP really complaining about too much documentation?
Whoa.
In 5 minutes you can have root, custom rom and kernel installed... :good:
Flash custom kernel (Siyah for example) via Odin to get root, recovery...
Download any custom rom, put it on internal SD, wipe (if needed) and flash it via recovery...

New users are like this:
2 minutes to read instructions/download kernel and odin + 15 seconds to set PDA and press start + 10 seconds to flash + 20 seconds to boot the phone + 1 day wondering wtf is the Superuser app.
I can symphathise with you, when you 1st get to this forum it is a bit confusing, but what i did was just find a thread with Root and Firmwares in one and its been smooth sailing since. Just take some time off and read the stickies.
Failpost is fail.
It is hard on start. Read at least the stickies and 10 first threads of major subforums. Above links are also great for rooting. If you want a universal method for your ics phone, just look at the guide linked in my signature

Lazy OP! Wish you were with a HTC phone and said those words, it would be close to legit then!
With Samsung, and it takes you more than 3 days just to root? Pure BS!
Anyways, to answer your Q, flash any CF-kernel matching your firmware! And flash your preferred ROM!
Ok that's enough OP bashing....
I'll just leave this here........

I've counted 5 forums (habr, 4pda, xda, ixbt, droidnews) where you've spammed with the same thread.
Is that not enought? Or is it a new method to spread the topic over all available boards in the net?

Eclipse based on stock firmware. So all bad things from original (like this Ciphering message and locked Hotspot) present in Eclipse
Ok. I made some research in phone files and found that this message comes from /system/app/phone.apk
Good news that it seems that there is no such line in 4.0 based firmware. Only in 4.1.
Need to screw this apk a little to disable trigger.
Can you upload phone.apk and phone.odex from 4.1 as i'm currently degraded to 4.0?

1. Search before posting.
Use one of our search functions before posting, whether you have a question or something new to share, it's very likely someone already asked that question or shared that news.

The answer is in the OP for your ROM. If you are incapable of searching and finding that then you should leave your phone alone before you break it. XDA is NOT a tech-support site for lazy people, it is a Development forum. I pointed you in the right direction, then I told you where to look for the answer - if that isn't enough help then there is no hope for you.
I could simply have ignored you and left you alone, but if you bothered to use the information I gave you then you would have the Google applications, including the Play Store, running on your phone by now.

Actually I have 2 questions. What would be the guess to how long it would take for a new root method to be developed if you have a Samsung galaxy s4 where AT&T sent out the latest OTA update that left you with a MF3? I want to wait for the method that I would have the custom recovery and ROMS. Also who develops the method is it someone here? Just asking. Thanks!!! You are all awesome here and very prompt in your replies!
We allready have a root method...
Custom recovery and ROMs may never be possible on this phone with MF3.

Eta's are frowned upon. Nobody knows. They are a number of devs on this forum and others who are working on it. You'll just have to wait until one of them gets lucky. There is a lot of work behind the scene going on with this subject.
Edit, if you're interested in following some of the work being done, here is a good place to start. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=44423308

Sorry, XDA (like CyanogenMod!) is a place where there are no deadlines/ETA (estimated times of arrival). XDA participants are not members of one organization. The users, reader and (most importantly) the developers here (individually and in their own teams), all do their own thing. Kind of semi-focused chaos really. . .
All these thousands of custom roms are the work of individuals and teams who do it on their own, and do it for fun! It's all free and done for the science and the art of being able to bend the technology our way. That's why developers here develop (for the most part!). Developers are not pushed by requests, and won't tell you when they have something -until they "really" have something
So folks can't predict when a development will pop up. Frankly, it is considered kind of bad form or even rude to ask for a date when some development will be ready or will arrive.

Many folks are stuck with the MF3 version. They can root, but they can't swap roms because of the locked bootloader issue.
Also, we do know that developers here - several individuals and even groups of developers are trying to "beat" that new bootloader, [and there is even a thread here with folks offering a bonus/incentive/whatever for the one (or many) who get the latest exploit.]
But the motivation is not the money, it's the success in making it work. Will they do it? Probably, but as one already answered here, it is possible that they might fail. Although I don't think that is the most likely outcome. When will they succeed? . . . No one knows, and we can almost do nothing except work on the exploit ourselves, or just wait !
Sorry, that's the best news as of today
This is my first post here on XDA, I've been a ghost for quite some time reading through numerous threads. Such a wealth of knowledge her . Hopefully as time progresses, I'll be able to help others!
This all began with Pokemon go.
I recently rooted my Samsung galaxy note 3 using Arabic by Ali. It was the only root tool that I could get to work. Now that I'm rooted I've embarked on the mission of getting Xposed framework setup on my device. I've searched for numerous hours both here on XDA and Google and have yet to find the info I'm needing, I'm new to the android rooting, and modifications (I taught myself all the iPhone jail breaking and mods but I'm stumped on the android is, for now.)
I'm not sure what ROM was used, if any honestly. When I boot my phone it does say custom with the unlocked lock. I've attached a screenshot of my about phone and ROM manager.
Wheres my beat starting point to getting Xposed to operate on my device, and be stable? I've read that there are a few work arounds to avoid boot loops and force closures, but I can't find a decent written guide into this. Or even what files I need. Trying to avoid any bricks, and want to fully know what to do before embarking on this task.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Both applied for note 3, depending on firmware you're using.
If 5.0, first one. But beware deodexed only. So stock rooted firmware won't work.
If 5.1.1 or 6.0.1, second one.

Make sure you are rooted, download the neccessary file then flash it using flashfire. Simple as that.
OK, so I'm not sure what's going on or if I'm doing this properly. What steps do I need to do withing flash fire?
I set wipe to clear cache and dwlvik, than flash a zip or ota and selected the zip file. Click the flash button the phone powers down, and I cannot get it to power back up unless I remove the battery. I'm not entirely sure if I messed up or if its flash fire that messed up.
Sorry for all the questions. Android rooting and all are completely new to me.
Android system modding is a lot different from iOS ?
Got it to work finally! Thank you both for the links and help! Glad to finally have Xposed working as it should!
