Should I use a costumb kernel? why?

I have that question guys, why should someone use another kernel?
it have benefits? wich is the best kernel for our 6p's?

You might want to use features which are not implemented in the stock kernel. For example over/underclocking, more possibilities to customize your kernel (governor options, colors, ... ), SELinux permissive, disabled force encryption, performance improvements or to be on a more recent version.
There is no "BEST" kernel, all are different and you have to evaluate which fits your needs the best.

Need Good ROM/Kernel Combo For Gaming

Hey I am trying to play Marvel contest of Champions on my verizon gs4 and it lags like crazy. Just wondering if anybody can suggest a good ROM and/or kernel for gaming. I can run most roms and kernels for the s4 so any help would really be appreciates thanks

Any JDCTeam rom, as they come with Alucard kernel. Set it to extreme performance and you should be golden.
If it still doesn't do the trick, switch to an android 5.0 rom and flash kt kernel by ktoonse. From within kt kernel download the kt gaming profile (it has overclock) and you're golden.

You can also flash Xposed and use the module DVFS disabler. That should also give you a big increase.

Rooted, debloated, stock rom with latest Voltaqe 14.1 kernel...
Try and feel smooth while gaming.

with kt kernel's gaming profile and alucard's extreme performance profile be prepared for the phone to generate A LOT of heat during play...
in developer options tick disable hardware overlays before playing (it resets to it's default off position on every boot)...

If it's the stock Lineage kernel, there isn't in terms of advanced tweaking.

REQUEST: custom aosp kernel

I wondered if any dev would be willing to make a custom aosp lineage kernel? I dont see any for the v20, the last being the now outdated and obsolete werewolf kernel. im not a dev or id try myself. tbh I wouldnt even know where to begin.
I was hoping for something with the sched governor or even blue active.
zen and sio scheduling. maybe westwood for tcip and disabling of fsync or dynamic fsync.
id gladly donate to the cause. I feel a custom kernel could really help with the fluidity of some of the aosp roms. im on a H910.

Magisk Modules w/ custom kernel

Hey all
This is going to be a silly question to some : just wondering, if I'm using a custom kernel such as Optimus Drunk or Unified // *unt kernel ... Is it useful / valid to run these magisk modules alongside ?
GPU Turbo Boost
GMS Universal Doze
LKT (probs not ey saw people saying "don't")
Going to flash RR official clean
Might just roll with stock kernel and use LKT hey
Anyone wanna share how they run their G5plus?

I've found some of the modules just mess up the rom, some don't work at all, and some are great. Of course, not all are for our hardware, so this makes sense.
