Hey all
This is going to be a silly question to some : just wondering, if I'm using a custom kernel such as Optimus Drunk or Unified // *unt kernel ... Is it useful / valid to run these magisk modules alongside ?
GPU Turbo Boost
GMS Universal Doze
LKT (probs not ey saw people saying "don't")
Going to flash RR official clean
Might just roll with stock kernel and use LKT hey
Anyone wanna share how they run their G5plus?
Cheers y'all
N
I've found some of the modules just mess up the rom, some don't work at all, and some are great. Of course, not all are for our hardware, so this makes sense.

Universal doze may help.
GPU Turbo Boost is c**p.
LKT: No. Conflicts with the kernel can appear.

Hey guys and hey devs,
i wanna ask you something.
My android version is 4.2.2 with stock rom and franco.kernel.
I want to use my iCon 225 Surfstick with my Nexus 7 Tablet. All i need are 2 modules. The hso and the ppp_async module. Unfortunately franco.kernel does not have those modules. And the developer has not responded to my request. So i tried to compile it myself with cygwin. I had no success and a few errors.
Can anyone give me a kernel with these modules?
Before i had my galaxy Ace for tethering and so on but unfortunately it is gone diving
Sorry for my bad english
Thx in advance,
nwd
This is a rather new kernel, you could ask the dev if they're included/supported?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2373410
Yeah i could try
ppp_async is built-in with my kernel. hso will be enabled in next build. Expect it sometime tomorrow or the day after.
Do you want them as modules or built-in with the kernel?
I am currently using Boeffla Kernel (3.3 Beta 1 atm) with ResurrectionRemix 5.7.4 (atm Blackjubel's 20161012 build) and I am very happy with it. I have slightly overclocked my G900F to 2.6GHz, I have NTFS support, I can activate UMS Mode, if I want (one of the greatest features recently added) there are lots of governors with many different options and I could continue to rave about this kernel but as soon as the XPosed Framework gets it's first working version for Android 7, I will upgrade (if possible to Resurrection Remix, but there is already a great working version of AICP for the KLTE) and LordBoeffla already announced, that he won't continue his kernel for the KLTE with CM14. This is really sad, but no reason to stay with CM13.
What I wanted to ask you with this long and badly written text: has anyone here on XDA an idea, which kernel I could possibly install together with a CM14 based ROM if I want OC features, different governors, NTFS support and possibly also UMS Mode to stay?
Thanks in advance
Colin
Hey guys,
I'm using a OnePlus2 running on a RR 6 custom rom (oreo)
Can you guys suggest me some good kernels?
My requirements would be optimized battery life along with performance
I play games occasionally mainly PUBG
I have some questions to shoot as well:
1. Do i need to root for installing a kernel ?
2. Do i need to re install my os clean while installing a kernel?
3.Will network signal strength be affected with kernel installation?
That's pretty much it,
Thanks in advance
1) no, you dont need rot to install kernel but you need root to change its settings
2) no
3) maybe but pretty much sure that no.
and one more thing, you should post this questions in troubleshoot and Q/A section not in development
Try NoGravity Kernel
Hello
Like in topic - Can someone fix this ?
Is this even possible ?
I would be happy to at least have root on stock rom - CyanogenMod LineageOS 13 have 2 small bugs ,but sadly devs don't want fix them.
Nope,sorry.
To have magisk installed and still pass safety net you need to enable magiskhide.
That feature requires a kernel version of 3.8 or higher.
Well sm t235 do not have a custom or stock ROM that have a kernel version of 3.8 or higher.
Source:I am a sm t235 user
That's sad that no dev scene for such great device....
I have this same kernel ,but seems that you have outdated rom
Here is mine screenshot

IMO stock ROM is too laggy for me.
Mine was outdated because it's a modded version with less bloat(based on stock).
I'm using cm 12 and it's now a lot smoother than Samsung stock rom.
I've freezed all bload apps on stock
can i get help to root my device? id like to install android 6.0 to my sm-t235
Using stock android pie, no custom rom, it's the UK exynos CPU.
Overclocking would be an awesome feature a but also battery.
.cheers
Maybe some useful things to do when it's rooted or some xposed modules when I get it setup
