Help!! s4-i GT-i9500 wont reboot...Black screen. :(

My S4 GT-i9500 went out of battery last night and now it wont boot. I'm on PA 4.4 beta 1.
Although I can enter download mode only when my phone is connected to the PC but odin is not recognizing it.
Also if I disconnect it from the computer, my phone goes blank again.
Please help!!

Guys any possible solution to revive this phone or should I head towards the service center???

Try reinstalling samsung drivers or kies to get odin to recognize the phone,
if Odin works again then you can try and flash stock firmware for your device

possible fix is to disable personalized message
I had same problem since KitKat 4.4.2 ( FNB8).
I think I fixed it by disabling personalized message on lock screen
1. go to Setting/LockScreen/Lock screen widget
2. disable personalized message by selecting clock

It doesn't sound like a software problem.
My guess is either your battery (is the battery swollen?) or a hardware problem.

Why do you assume it's a software problem? If your battery ran out and now you can't boot, then the chances that it's a software problem is something like 0,1%.
Your battery is probably damaged, try a new battery.

Well I tried a different battery,but still I can't pass the "Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-i9500" screen. It blinks once, stays for about 5-7 seconds and then the phone shuts off.
I also can't access the recovery.

Can someone send me the correct PIT files for GT-i9500 or the link plzzz now.
I managed to connect it with odin I believe my phone is soft bricked. So flashing stock firmware, but getting an error, no PIT partition found.

[Q] [Help] - Odin not working..GS4 i9505

I know this gets asked all the time, but I am looking to un-root my GS4. I have the i9505 (google edition). I put cyangenmod on it a few weeks ago but i'd like to go back to stock. I've followed this guide to the T:

With no luck. I have tried 2 different .tar.md5 files from samfirmware.com. I have tried multiple different versions of Odin 1.85, 3.07 and 3.09. I put my phone in download mode, connect it to the PC. Odin recognizes it. I hit PDA and select my .tar file and click start and it fails every time. Here are the messages it gives me:

What sort of logs would you like me to send?

Are you using Windows, and does it recognize the phone when you plug it in? If so, it's not the USB cable or the drivers. You may have the wrong file. If you do in fact have the I9505G from Google Play Store then the link you provided is wrong, it's only for the I9500 and I9505, not the Google edition.

I am using Windows. It recognizes the phone no problem. My settings say I have GT-i9505, it is (was) the google edition. Is there something specific I need to do since I have the Google edition?

You have to know if your phone is gt-i9505 (Normal) or gt-i9505G (Google EDITION). You can't flash gt-i9505 STOCK ROM in one gt-i9505G or viceversa. I9505XXUGNE5_I9505OXAGNE5_I9505XXUGNE5_HOME.tar.md5 firmware is for gt-i9505.

Settings>About Phone>Model Number> will tell you if it's I9505 or I9505G.

I bought the phone from the google store, GS4 Google Play edition.
I installed Cyangenmod on it using their system they have. I guess it thought I was using an gt-i9505 instead of gt-i9505G? when I go into about phone (after cyangenmod installed), it says I have a gt-i9505...not a G
I downloaded I9505GUEUBMKG_FULL_ROOTED.tar.md5 and was able to put that on my phone. Everything works. I followed this guide..

1. You own a Gt-i9505G (Google Play Edition). Don't forget it and don't confuse urself. The gt-i9505 firmwares aren't good for ur device.
2. The problem is that u installed Cyanogenmod for Samsung Galaxy S4 (jflte) device and it appeared in "about phone" like i9505. Nothing more.
3. Next time only flash things for Google Play edition Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505G) and enjoy :highfive:.

Setting > "bottom" Superuser > setting > superuser access > "select" both adb and app

Hi Everyone,
Having a problem here with a SM-900 Note 3 sent back to the US here by a relative. A relative asked me to purchase it off Amazon with their credit card (prime shipping), so it comes from a trustworthy source. AFAIK the phone was unrooted (Knox counter 0) and apps were installed through the play store. The phone is stuck at the initial "Samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM-900" screen. The logo is not steady, instead it keeps flashing every 3 seconds. Recovery mode does not work, or at least the phone keeps flashing the logo. Download Mode, however, works and the phone stays turned on steady. Kies keeps saying connecting and Jodin3 keeps saying my phone isn't connected. I have tried all 4 ports and 3 separate usb cables. I don't have access to a Windows machine only an iMac. I'm not sure what is wrong. I'm going to try downloading odin to my mac to see if it will work. If all else fails, I plan on contacting Samsung to see if they will fix it seeing as it was purchased only 4 months ago. Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you were using a Windows PC, install Kies 3 to get a correct driver to be installed, then download a stock firmware for your device and flash via Odin. That could help to fix the problem.
I'm not familiar with iMac so I don't know what software can be a replacement for the Odin.
You can try Heimdall.

I managed to go over a friend's house and use his windows machine. I got the correct file and used Odin and it said "PASS". Unfortunately, the Note 3 is still having the same problem with the splash logo flashing every three seconds. Not sure whats wrong. Could it be hardware related? The battery contacts on the phone are fine. I don't think there is anything wrong with the battery itself because download mode works just fine. It seems to start the phone up its having trouble getting past the initial splash screen. Safe mode is not working either. Looks like I might have to put in a call to Samsung for warranty repair.

1. You will have to download one of the latest firmware of: HERE. I supose you don't know the CSC (country CODE) of your device. We don't know what firmware had your device either. Try to flash one of the newest for avoid active KNOX to 0x1 in future if you have to come back to one older firmware. Flash the firmware of the correct country if you know it ofc.
2. ODIN don't works in Mac.... use HEIMDALL. Lil guide: HERE

Can you show the Odin screenshot? And also the full Odin log file?

Vndnguyen; Sorry for the long wait as the past couple of weeks have been hectic with a family member in the hospital. Samsung Customer Support was obviously unhelpful but someone managed to find the true country of origin of my phone. They said (Samsung CS) based on IMEI it is from Taiwan. Now that I know the proper firmware I have downloaded the corresponding country version from Sam Mobile. Currently leaving Odin running to see if that does anything to fix it. Regardless, I will still post a screen shot and the log file.
P.S. It was confirmed the battery was not the problem, a Samsung Rep at a Best Buy store pulled out a battery from a working display Note 3 and used it in mine, but still no dice.

I tried the Taiwan firmware from Sam Mobile (N900ZSUENI3_N900OZSENI3_N900XXUENG1_HOME.tar.md5) but Odin reported fail. Even after 3 attempts it still reported fail. After contacting the third party seller via Amazon, they replied that the Note 3 was meant for Latin America. I picked one of the countries (Panama: N900UBUENJ2_N900UWAENJ2_N900UBUENG1_HOME.tar.md5) and Odin reported Pass! But it still keeps flashing at the boot screen.

Stuck in bootloop and not even ODIN wants to work! Help!

Hi,
My wife's phone SM-G935F started to bootloop after a normal update. It goes to the loading screen (IMG 1) and just stays there. The only thing I can do from there is VolDown+Power to reset or Voldown+Home+Power to Recovery mode.
Can't access factory reset mode, and the only other thing i've been able for it to show is the light-blue screen with the "!" simbol and "Try using Smart Switch Recovery..." which didn't work.

I Don't exacly know the region of the phone, but i think it is the Trinidad and Tobago one (International unlocked bought from B&H).
Anyone knows how to know region from a cell you can't boot?
Also don't know if OEM was active or not, but i think this is the problem. If i can't boot the cell, hoy to disable OEM prot?

Just instead of RECOVERY, it says BOOT.
I successfully updated the bootload so the "!" simbol and "Try using Smart Switch Recovery..." screen isn't showing anymore, but the bootloop is still going. Cant update the AP, CP not CSC.
Anyone has any idea what can i do?
This phone was running Marshmelow, never had been rooted and never used custom roms in it. It was only 3 months old. Think of the children

smart switch will work if you download the drivers to your computer. this step is necessary to allow smart switch to see your phone.
then use smart switch, click on more, emergency recovery, then device initialization.
followinstructions, it should take about 5 minutes to recover your phone, if you have input the correct information.

Does the phone needs to be in download mode? or in the loading screen is ok?
Only 3 options I have are:
Boot screen (galaxy screen)
Powered Off
Download mode.
I can't reach any other screens.

Loading screen is fine as long as smart switch can see your phone, the procedure should work.
I was in the same position once.

what have u chosed in odin? this look like bootloader is broken

Smart Swich is working as ****. it doesn't load the recovery screen even if the phone is not connected
Any idea how to make it work=?

This is the case when i try to AD everytime. I'm quite sure my problem is the region of the firmware, but i can't know WHICH firmware to download. I called the US store where i bought it and they told me it was from Vietnam.
Got the Vietnam Stock Firmware (XXV) and it still is "Blocked by FRP Lock" when it tryies to do the recovery.img file...
Anyone knows how to get the region of the phone from the serial/imei or any other meens whith a soft bricked phone?
I tried SmartSwitch but it had the same problem. I think it used the region from the BL/CSC i flashed to it instead of the original one...
Also, the radio from the Vietnam version didn't match my phone...
Any ideas?

connect S7 Edge to Computer ( DL Mode)
open Odin as an Administrator (!!) - right click on Odin-
put "Samsung_G935x_QC_Rooted_BOOT.TAR" in Odin
Flash
if it won`t work... try a samsung kernel... without root

I have same problem as OP help ? I had 7.0 update but it only made my phone restart, now i flashed official with odin and now stuck in bootloop... can only seem to access download mode, smart switch if i try connect says my phone is not supported.. what the hell to do now ???

I had this issue as well and what i did was use samsung kies to go back to stock since phone got semi-bricked and i could only enter download mode, since you have access to twrp you can try and flash the superstars rom which is stable and pretty much bug free

Well, I guess I can grab Kies in the meantime.
Where did you grab the superstars ROM and the stock ROM? I just want to make sure camera and phone work lol.

Remember that kies flashes the up to date stock rom so there's no need to download the stock one in my opinion

Great now I have "An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software" on the On5.
I have to grab that to fix it so I can use Kies? or do I just use that now? :crying:
EDIT: So I can still drop it into download mode. But Kies and Smart Switch recognize that something is getting added. What am I missing for recovery? ...

I've also been there, place your On5 on download mode and go to kies, Tools, firmware upgrade and initialisation it will ask for device model and s/n (everything can be found behind the battery) oh and type everything in CAPS

I'm sorry friend but I have no idea to what to do next I've semi-bricked this phone more times than I can count and managed to bring it back to life every time, maybe it's the variant? I have the sm-g550t or t-mo variant..

Thanks for messaging back every time though It's the T-Mo version as well. I'm really at a loss at this point. Going to try one more time this weekend and see what I get. :cheers:
Oh man - I don't know what happened but it finally recovered. I think doing it at home made the difference. Thanks!
