Automatic time & date and Automatic time zone rolls back to being set no matter how many time I untick them. Accordingly my clock is always one hour earlier than actual. What could be causing this ? !!!

Who knows because you gave us no specifics to go on. You didn't say how much of an error, whether it was a consistent amount, screen shots of your time settings, firmware version or anything else.
Since all we can do is outright guess without that critical information, I'd guess that you have the daylight savings settings incorrect. Or perhaps a conflicting setting somewhere. For effective help, you'll need to provide a lot more information because, as you know, we can't see what is on your phone unless you describe it to us.
.
Samsung has idiots for coders. One of the broadcast receivers for "BOOT_COMPLETE" DateTimeSettingsBroadcastReceiver.smali in Setting.apk will enable Auto Time and Date if its disabled. For no reason really. Its retarded. Same thing on my old Samsung SK4G (Android 2.2.3).
You can disable it with something like AutoStarts or any app that can disable receivers. See my 3 year old post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1248410
And basically, you need root to do it.

Hallo!
I wonder if the WM5 changes the time automatically in the Summer and Winter time for Europe countries.. As you know in April and October the time changes ( +1 or -1 ) , this happens automatically in Windows XP , is there such a function for the Wizard ? If yes, is there anywhere in WM5 as a settings for that ?
It should set it automatically, but it failed to do so this year (1st time since I've got my device). There isn't a place where you can set it, but I bet it is at the Regional Setting (hidden), where the unit will change according to your region.
I know (presume) that it will change the time because when I looked into the notification queue, there is a windows time mangement thing that runs on the exact time and date, for the summer time changing. So, I'm pretty sure that it will change the time, but not sure why it doesn't the last time.
Get yourself a software to check the Notification Queue, look for schedule items that starts at a specific time, and see if it is there.
Time zones & summer time changeover info (i.e. when the changes happen) are stored in the registry, IIRC.
Thank you - both - fp your answers.
What led me to ask this question is : after installing a program called WorldMate, I noticed that the time between my location and other countries are wrong, probably 2 hours different instead of 1 hour, because in summer my country has +2 than GMT time, and only +1 more than the GMT time... But I noticed that WorldMate showed me that my country is only +1 instead of +2 in summer, and the program is based on the device system... I changed the time and added +2 manually in WorlMate, and this corrected the issue.
I want to set my Omnia7 screen timeout to never, but the option isn't available. Is this the same on all Omnia7 phones? Just trying to work out if it's my network or Samsung that have restricted the setting.
The never option is available on the HD7 phone, so it must be surpressed somewhere. Is there any way to enable it?

mine is simfree screen time out is max 5 mini 30 seconds
According to Microsofts documentation, there should be an 'never' option, unless you have set a password. I have not set a password, but the never option is also not available on my simlock free Omnia 7.
Might it be possible that the "never" option has been canceled by Samsung because of the AMOLED-screens? Maybe they could fail if the screen is always on? As far as I know, the blue pixels are going to lose luminiscence with time.
Samsung has habit of making mess with OS. I am sure they supressed this option. Mine is showing 30 sec to 5 mins only.

Yeah, you name it. That's the reason why I never bought a WinMo-, Android-, Bada-Device from Samsung. Now with WP7 there isn't much potential of producing a mess, so it's relatively safe to buy a Samsung-phone.

My last phone was Omnia HD, that is one of the best device but development for this phone stalled due to implementation of symbian by Samsung.
This week i got Omnia 7 due to the same reason as mentioned by you. Infact MS was the big factor behind that decision. The only annoying thing is MS's policy of application development, other than that im happy
Here's the solution
OP asked in another thread and it's easy to change in the registry.

Yep, I can confirm that this works
you can also use wpinternals.net app and reboot in mass storage mode, then use windows regedit to access
1)choose "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE"
"file>Load Hive>[phone_storage_disk]:\windows\system32\config\software" , name it "PHONE_SOFTWARE"
2)then go to this path:
MY PC\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\PHONE_Software\Microsoft\Set tings\Lock
and set DisableNever to 0
3)finally choose on "PHONE_SOFTWARE" and click "file>UnLoad Hive"
then reboot in normal mode and will see "Never" option
really 100 % working method, very easy, dont need root or so on!!!:хорошо:

I'm having an issue, that many report with the SGS, but never reported here!
I use a Galaxy S i9000 + last TB Pro version from market.
During scheduled backups, Wakelocks is not working as it should:
- Wakelocks "screen on" setting: screen doesn't sleep and drains battery after scheduled backup
- Wakelocks "keep CPU" setting: scheduled job won't start unless I turn on the screen + unlock phone manually
- Wakelocks "disable" setting: same as above + job paused if screen turns off. You need to keep screen on to finish your job
So, for now, only the "keep CPU2 setting semi-works. But, launching schedules during night when you sleep is useless, as jobs will only start when you wakeup and manually awake the phone
Also, I'm disappointed by the worst support of an application I ever bought
Their support forum on legendroid is just a place where the developper seems not to be concerned and where most posts remain unanswered. No other contact info!!! The question was answered many times in the forum before, since october...
Any help please
I also have the last TB Pro version with the Wakelocks screen on setting enabled. Every schedule seems to work fine and it does its job as it should.
Only thing is it says in the schedules list: Last time run: Never. But I can see new apps having been backupped.
The schedules run at night and at night my phone is always plugged in and I have the desktop clock in screensaver mode running from Alarm Clock Plus V2. So my screen is on all night.

Well, this doesn't answer my issue, since your screen is On.
Any SGS users can confirm these bugs with scheduled backups?
You should email the developer, he is a very helpful person and never let me down when I had problems with his app...

How can I email him? There's no any support information I found on the site expect that official forum without any real support?
Where can I find other contact information please?
Find titanium on the market, on the bottom you have the option to send an email to developer.

Many thanks for your help, I'll try it.
Just disappointed by that supposedly offical forum, a dead forum
I have seen posts in other threads about the update and I feel that a post about the update in any of those threads would detract from that threads purpose. So I made one instead.
I 'm on Boost and the update itself is just under 25MB, and per the Apps list it appears that half of that went to the new Contacts app based on size (not sure if download was compressed or not). It took roughly 10 minutes to completely install and it slowed waaaaayyy down when it reached 70+% on "Phase 1." "Phase 2" was fairly quick. I couldn't get a picture of the screen but it is a plain black background with only white text denoting information and progress. "Phase 1" would slowly blink on and off during that installation cycle. I was on battery and it ate roughly 5-6% during the process.
Bloat: it's hardly there. All I noticed was the addition of adding your Yahoo account credentials to work with the new Contacts app (I'm assuming), and after removing it it does not appear in the Add an Account menu. The new Contacts and Data Collection Tool app (the two are most likely associated) cannot be removed, but can be disabled. Also, there are some new wallpapers, being "Magic Smoke" and "Music Visualization." I don't know what they look like since I have no need for them and disabled them too. There may be other additions that I have not caught. I really wish we have root to get rid of the Connections Optimizer. It re-enables itself after the update and is more aggressive in wanting to be used.
Battery life: I have seen an improvement in SOT with Data/Wi-Fi, but still have drainage while the phone is not in use/asleep. I have uninstalled my Battery app (Battery Solo Widget Pro) and disabled the Battery notification in Power Toggles (never set it to poll to begin with) to see if they could have been the culprit. For context I actively use Greenify and set it for all apps I don't need to be constantly running, and turn Data/Wi-Fi/etc . off when I am done using that feature and have location set to Battery Saving.
I don't know how many of youz guys have installed the update, but I'd be happy to help with any questions I can answer.
Battery settings detail is now showing up when it would force close previously. I'm going to assume they also may have fixed the WIFI cert issue some people where having.
I save most of the logcats logs if anyone wants to have a peak at those. OTA updates were provided via Redbend.
Won't update with a low battery
I just when to try the update to see if there is a resolution to the Wifi 802.1xEAP certificates bug and it downloaded very quickly. However, when I clicked OK to install, it came back and said the Battery was too low and to install later. Even with the phone plugged into the USB port! (Yes the battery was down to about 1/4). Fortunately it looks like it kept the download.
The only concern I have with this upgrade is the google security update. I'm just wondering if I'll be closing a hole needed to root this phone.

Good thing Sharp fixed the Battery detail bug. I can confirm that Sharp has not fixed the cert issue. jh2015 posted in the thread about the issue that Sharp told him/her that it will not be fixed.
Did anyone actually captured the OTA URL and the update zip file?

Can't say I'm well versed in Android but when capturing the logcat file the only file name I could find after the download was
f_SG306SH_S8216toSG306SH_SA300.shdiff
the only two URLs I could find were
http://0946f61c52f05cb871ea-d87d123...47.r71.cf3.rackcdn.com/2640182142_dpD/APP_JNI

Could not access /cache/ or /fota/ after the download since there is not root access. I personally was unable to find or rewrite the download to a different location due to permissions.
Smart Contacts and Phone
The new smart contacts and phone app is very Lollipop. I wonder if this is an indication that the Aquos Crystal will get an 5.0 update, maybe no time soon, but in the future.
Chameleon become sharp.

I updated it the day it came out and I don't use the new bloatware added haven't used it. If you haven't noticed when you take a picture the shutter noise was always on or something like that. With the update the shutter noise can be turned off now, glad they fixed it.
Eh, great one, the shutter sound was pretty loud.
Edit: where you find the option?

I don't think there's an actual on/off option but if your phone is on vibrate or silent then you shouldn't hear the shutter sound.
Ting still working?
Has anyone on Ting using the Boost (white) version installed the update?
If so: (a) Is everything still working on Ting? (b) Is Spark LTE still working on Ting?
Hi all,
I don't know what Google and especially Samsung were smoking when releasing Android Lollipop, but the new "interruptions" were really a bad idea IMHO.
If Samsung had just copied what Google did there, it would be still ok, but Samsung removed the schedule option in the interruptions menu! Why Samsung, why? I just want to disable all notification between 10pm and 7am, but still be able to receive calls and let my alarm get off at 6:30am.
I understand that what I want can be configured with priority interruptions and it looks like it's working like intended except the scheduling part which was completely removed by Samsung. So now I have to turn priority interruptions on and off manually and if I forget it, some incoming spam mail may wake me in the middle of the night, wtf Samsung!
Is there a way to schedule this switch somehow automatically?

Yes you are completly right ,Samsung decided to cut even more in the new notification strategy on the Note 4 then Google did originally and no it's not possible to schedule like it is in the "complete" Lollipop release
Seems not a very interesting topic based on the amount of replies in this thread - anyway, I found some "solution" which I'd like to share with you
I remembered that I bought Tasker a long time ago out of curiosity, but as this app is pretty complicated (for me), I never really used it. I just gave it another try and I'm happy that it can deal with "interruptions", so it can be configured to set interruptions to priority mode for a certain period of time which is exactly what I want.
As I still don't like this app, do you know of any other similar apps that can deal with interruptions but have a nice and shiny user interface?
