[Q] Half-Life 2 on Nexus 7 (2012)? - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has anyone gotten this to work on this tablet?
I tried a few settings in GLTools, but I can't get past the source logo screen.
From what I have gathered the 2013 model plays it without issue.
anyone else have any luck?

No one has anything to report? lol

[Q] Anybody experience with Miracast/Nexus 10/Android 4.2?

Hey guys,
has anybody experience with Miracast on the Nexus 10 or Android 4.2? I'm going to get an Adapter for my TV and I'm not sure how that works... haven't found any Miracast-related options in the settings app, and I don't know how the whole stuff with wifi is working (is the bandwidth of wifi high enough for that high resolution? How will the Nexus scale its 2650px down to the 1920 of my TV? ...).
Thanks
Currently nexus 10 is not miracast capable. Many people think it will be later, but since there might be bus bandwith issues i dont think it will.

Practical testing: Miracast with Nexus 10
There was quite of bit of discussion/speculation back on Nov-Dec on whether, how, and when Nexus 10 would support Miracast. I recently did some testing to support an app I'm developing, and wanted to: give an update on practical test results, and see if anyone has any further information (since none is forthcoming from google so far).
I tested Miracast links using Netgear's PTV3000 (Push2TV):
Samsung S3 - WORKS, after an upgrade to their latest PTV3000 firmware (v.2.2.9)
Google Nexus 10 - Does not work.
Google Galaxy Nexus - Does not work.
This is consistent with a recent posting on AndroidCentral ("Netgear PTV3000 gets a firmware update, now officially supports host of Android devices"). I'm interested in running on as many devices as possible, including the Nexus tablets and phones, but still can't find any information on plans and timing for Nexus 10, for example.
Anyone?

[Q] Stream to TV

Hi All,
I have a Nexus 7 and a Vizio M3D550KD. I am looking to stream from the HBOgo and Xfinity apps onto my TV. Does anyone know of a good way to do this? Any help is appreciated.
Hey to be honest I think HBO has some kind of blocker in its programing so you cannot do that I've tried it a few times in the past even on my DROID X and it has HDMI out I also have a vizio TV but good luck anyway and if you do get it to work please let me know lol take care

[Q] BLE for Nexus 10

Any idea if the Nexus 10 will support BLE with 4.3 ? ... I dont know if im misinformed or something i was reading , and watches some videos about it and they talk about the update bringing BLE to Nexus 4 and The New Nexus 7, nothing about OG N7 , N10 or the GNEX.

Since no one seems to have a clue: I tested this with my Nexus 10. Updated to 4.3 and tried to pair it with a TI SensorKit. No success.
If someone still wants to know: No BLE for Nexus 10

To elaborate on this, bluetooth pairing is different from BLE pairing, so you don't see BLE devices in the android bluetooth pairing screen.
However, you are right to say that the Nexus 10 has no BLE: I am currently developing a BLE application and while it discovers BLE devices when running on the Nexus 4, it doesn't when running on the Nexus 10.
So I guess the hardware is not present, but there is also no runtime error that says so.

[Q] Nexus 7 2013 Stuck on Google Logo

Ok so my Nexus 7 2013 was working fine then it just stopped working.
I haven't fiddled with it or tried installing anything custom or rooting.
So I used snapchat to send a pic to my bro and after I did that i set the tablet down.
I was playing my ps3 when I saw something funny and I wanted to take a pic of it with my tablet.
Noticed it wasn't responding when i pressed the unlock button. I figured it was dead but realized
that couldn't be it since it was like 75%ish power left on. So i turned it on and from that point on it's been stuck on
the google screen and sometimes i get the red exclamation android guy.
As I type this the tablet is on the Google logo screen and it's been like that for 10 mins.
So again i clarify that my tablet has never been rooted or done anything custom with it.
Sadly also i don't have warranty from the store i bought it (BestBuy) and i bought it on Sept 15th of this year.
What are some steps I can take to help me fix it? Or is this thing dead for good? I read that if you can access your bootloader then it's fixable.
You should ask in the nexus 7 2013 forums. This forum is for the 2012 model
