Hello guys!
My phone is ZTE 889M with Android 4.0.4
For the first time, I used the panoramic camera mode in my android phone.
In the phone gallery, I can see them. They're like gifs. But you have to slide your finger to play them.
I wanted to upload them to my PC, so I did.
Thing is, my PC can't play those files.
All I wanted was to do a .gif file out of the .mpo file.
But I can't.
Can you guys help me?
Is there a software out there that can read/convert mpo files?
Thanks.

Hi Everyone,
Great wealth of info on here so congratulations to the site developers and maintence guys as well as all the contributers.
I am a complete newbie to HTC phones and i would be really grateful if someone can let me know the following so i can start to enjoy my new HTC HD2 Phone. It seems like the networks limit the glory of this phone and you guys have been able to make changes possible so keep up the good work. having read a few post i've managed to change the stock 1.43 version to a stock 1.66 and i will hopefully try to build some confidence to use a customised one in the future.
Here's the questions:
1) How do i install application such as TOM TOM/Co-PILOT from my PC to the device? - Do i have to transfer the whole folder of the program to the SD Card? i have a licence TOM TOM copy so how would i use it on the phone? i have read cab file and registry modifications being mentioned but i really don't know what this means! would be grate if someone could explain.
2) in the same way if i have a movie on the PC can i drag and drop it into the SD and it will play on the phone?
3) Can i download Apps other than from Market place? again is it the case of drag and drop onto the SD card once the application has been downloaded?
I am a heavy email user who needs a device where i can access emails on the go, watch a few movies and use sat nav. I refrained from purchasing the iPhone as i wanted a windows based application for outlook and office compatibility.
please excuse my ignorance and apologies if the questions are very basic but i want to get to know more and i would be grateful if anyone can offer some good advice.
Hope someone out there can help!
Thanks in advance!
PS. Is this really the daddy of HTC Phones?
1) to install apps from your pc to your device, just start the installer on the pc. if you have your hd2 connected in "active sync" mode, the app will be immediately installed to your hd2. else, you get a notification that the app will be istalled as soon as you plug your hd2 in. cab- files are installed by running then from your hd2.
2) not really. the hd2 does not support many video formats out of the box, you will need to install tcpmp, for example. i use "TCPMP Tech1 Enhanced TP1_TP2 Digital Play HD CineVisionScope Version", this version of tcpmp supports most formats.
3) you can install apps from anywhere. for example, if you download a .cab in this forums, copy it to your sd card an run it from your hd2.
Thanks for your reply wergor,
I've found a website with the TCPMP Tech1 Enhanced TP1_TP2 Digital Play HD CineVisionScope Version cab file.... would it just be a case of installing this onto my pc and syncing with HD2?
will this allow me to play movies on the phone?
surely you'd think a device like this could play movie out of the box!
look forward to your reply.
cab files are installation files that must be run from your hd2. copy the .cab file to the sd card, open the file manager on the hd2, navigate to the file and execute it. follow the installation process (needs some time) and you are ready to go. (i think on the site are one or two things mentioned you have to set up to get the best performance)
this version of tcpmp supports most video formats, so you shouldn't encounter any problems.
The easiest way to install apps downloaded to your PC is to use CABviaActiveSync.
I have uploaded it for you. Just install to your PC and it will add an option when right clicking any .cab files.
This way you don't need to transfer to the storage memory first.
HTH
Bixx
also, you can try the software "xmedia recode", this software allows to convert any video file to a format that the hd2 can play without any additional software.
Hi all, I seem to have a strange problem - I cannot download files of some kinds, like .apk files. There is a message saying the type of file is not supported on my device. Do you know if I can download them anyway, bypassing this? Thank you in advance. (a friend of mine with the same firmware doesn't have that problem)
how are you trying to "download" those?
just copy and past from your computer to the USB when the phone is plugged in

no, i mean by the browser.
use the option to save as
you might need to install another browser like Skyfire for example or OperaMini
I have downloaded apk files using the stock browser, so that's shouldn't be an issue.
Hello Guys,
glad to finally open my first thread Now the problem:
Recently i installed the Nexus Android Build on my HD2/Leo and everything worked fine for the last days. Today, I tried to get an .avi movie running. The problem is, not a single player i tested [all the popular ones] is able to find the files on the sd card. Furthermore, all file managers like astro have the same problem. I can not see any of the avi files i copied onto my sd card. It doesnt matter whether i copy them on the root folder or in a subfolder.
Has anyone an idea what the problem might be?
Thanks in advance for any hint!
Regards, rev.
Have you tried restarting your phone after putting the files on? This sort of thing sometimes happened to me, the files would not appear on the sd card until I rebooted the phone. I think its an issue with some builds.

Try Arcmedia, is a good avi player
Hey,
i already did that. negative.....
I dont think the problem are caused by the players but by the build.
I have the .caf file and converted it to .ogg, I just don't know how to make a flashable zip to flash it. I reaaalllyyy want this sound, so if someone can make a zip for me, I would be grateful.

Hi guys,
Firstly, apologies if this topic has been answered before, I wasn't able to find much on here. Anyway, I decided that I wanted to have desaturated versions of icons that I have on the phone and was able to extract them onto my PC and change them. The problem was getting them back on the phone, I tried a few methods that didn't seem to work and in the end had to resort to using APK Icon Editor to replace and pack the file without issue. Is there not a location folder on the phone that I can send icons to that will be picked up by launchers or is the method I used the only way?
Any help is appreciated, thanks.
You have to decompile it and re compile it sometimes it need to be signed with the same signature use tickle my android or if you want do it with this app I found in the play store
