Frequency bands - GiONEE Elife E7

Hi i'm using the 2.2 32gb E7 and i'm unable to use the 4G network in my country. I was told that the 4G is on 1900 bandwidth but i don't know if the phone has it. It has a snapdragon 800 processor so it should have it. Is there a way to activate this frequency? Like root or something?

Hmm.
Why would you want a 2GB ram one when it dumb down the processor to a dual core :/ Bleh.

I may buy an international quad core but really it's a toss up of which will be best. Canada is moving to the LTE network which means the international versions will eventually have to either switch or be able to communicate on those frequencies, right now they are still HSPA.

it really doesnt,
Antutu scores the T3 version much higher than S4 - even if the T3 is set to use only 2 cores (which XDA users have tested), it still comfortably beats the S4.
initial tests that shown the S4 to perform greater, were only being tested on dual-core only tests and whilst being used on the HTC ONE S with its much lower native resolution.
an S4 in a ONE X will not perform as good as in the ONE S - period.
----
SIMPLY PUT, i wouldnt sacrifice a Quad Core Exynos for 2gb ram - especially when 1gb is enough.
I had a Tegra one x and it definitely lagged. While the s4 on one x may be better or equal than Tegra 3, it definitely can't beat the exynos in terms performance, speed and buttery smooth experience. And don't you think Samsung will make sure their own processor runs or performs better than s4 in their flagship phone?
Any idea why they aren't releasing the quad core with 2 gigs? I know it will be more expensive but somethings are worth paying for.

Why? Cost and warranty. I buy direct from my local provider, I don't have to worry about shipping stuff away. I just walk down to where I bought it from and done...phone is replaced.
Cost wise...if what they're saying is true, getting a 16GB device is going to be cheaper here than buying it from Expansys or Negri for the quad-core.
Anything I buy that is new now is going to be a far better performer than my old SGS, dual or quad.

I feel this is the best of both worlds. The S4 is a beast and very power efficient. More cores doesn't always = better performance. I figure Samsung is adding the extra ram to alleviate multitasking issues that the LTE One X suffers from. I'm assuming the Adreno GPU is the ram hog here with only 672 availble ram on the One X. It's a great decision. With 2gb of ram, my One X will probably go to my wife while I pick up the S3.

You are probably right, but it still begs the question. For how long?
Network HSPA 850/1900/2100 MHz & Quad band EDGE support.
LTE 700/1700 MHz
So if these are the frequencies Telus will be using can anyone tell me if the phone with companies like wind and Mobilicity will be using the international version?
I ask because wind & mobilicity is suppose to use the 1700/2100 frequencies.
however the international version according to expansy is using the following.
Network
2.5G (GSM / GPRS / EDGE): 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900MHz
3G (HSPA+ 21Mbps): 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100MHz
What am I missing here? If I buy the hspa or international phone how will i be able to use it on companies like wind/mobilicity if it don't use the same 1700 frequencie?

yep 28nm.
and screw dev support, guys. i don't see how that could outweigh a longer lasting phone + great performance + LTE. i just can't fathom that. stock odexed ROMs have proven to be the best imo. there will be root, which means no bloatware, and i can do my own theming. that's all i personally need. currently running a stock odexed 4.0.4 ROM on my GNex that i modded and couldn't be happier.
S4 Krait with 2gb of RAM is the better one in my eyes. i'm very happy about this.

1700/2100 that you're listing is HSPA+
the 700/1700 is LTE mate. there's two variants and you're confusing yourself, and me just a little bit.
one supports LTE and one will support HSPA+ 42Mbps. these are the non-international versions.
great news for ATT kids, though. because that's what they use
edit: so you have the following
3G (HSPA+ 21Mbps): 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100MHz
4G (HSPA+ 42Mbps): 1700/2100
LTE: 700/1700
in other words, you'd get Edge if you used an international version on Wind/Mobilicity. this would be the same as if i imported an international version and used it on T-Mobile US.
Wind/Mobilicity/Videotron = T-Mobile US (same bands)
Telus/Bell/Rogers/etc = ATT (same bands)

Is an S$ with More Bands Coming

I seem to recall reading somewhere (but now I can't find it) that SprinT is coming out with an S4 with greater capability - i.e., some new LTE band, perhaps the former Nextel band?
I'm eligible for an upgrade, but don't want to buy if there is a revision coming shortly.
Anyone know anything about this?

The current S4 is capable of the 800 frequency that iden was using. Once activated our phone is capable. In Korea they have the S4 with the Snapdragon 800 processor that is capable of lte advanced network, but no carrier in the US even has a LTE advanced network so it doesn't matter. Korea always has the newest and best tech.

Its capable of 800 voice. This device only supports band 25 1900 lte. Sprint has equipment up for 800 data but wont be running for a while. That's from multiple places on s4gru. They won't get a multi band lte device for a few months.

You probably read about the new S4 coming out in Korea with a 2.3ghz processor, as said above the Snapdragon 800, that'll be running on Korea's first (first ever in the world actually) commercial LTE-A network. Okay just so we are all clear, everyone can mark my words, there will not be a newer better Sprint S4 coming out thats supports any LTEA network. That phone will be in Korea because they have cell networks that can support LTEA phones. This is what the current S4 supports for Sprint LTE: Band 25; CDMA 1x/EVDO Rev.A: 800/850/1900MHz; HSPA+/UMTS: 850/900/1900/2100MHz; GSM: 850/900/1800/1900MHz
I should have made it clear that I was talking about this CDMA 1x/EVDO Rev.A: 800/850/1900MHz when I said our phones support the 800 spectrum that used to be iDEN.

The S4 does not support 800 Mhz LTE, but Sprint will have 800 Mhz LTE by the end of the year. Isn't this a problem - Sprint will be utilizing 800 Mhz for data because it is better at penetrating buildings, but the S4 will not support that band?

MoreLocale 2 in the app store seems to do the trick but I don't have an lg g2 to test it. I guess you need to root it first and grant superuser permissions because of the way jellybean handles it.I came up with this thru a couple Google searches so its untested.
I'm tempted. I'm on straight talk in the USA. If it worked, tell me as a thanks cause I kinda want to get it. I wonder if it supports tmobiles hspa+42 network. I use a T-Mobile straight talk sim card...., it runs off of T-Mobile's network but I pay straight talk but no LTE.
I will give it a try. First I need root, do you know where I can get root for the LG G2?

[Q] Exynos with 4G LTE 800 Support?

Hi all,
I've been scouring the web for information that can confirm that any of the Note 4 Exynos variants support the 800 MHz (Band 20) on 4G LTE. From what I've gathered, it seems to be only LTE 850 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600. Which sucks big time..
The reason is because I have Vodafone 4G in the UK, which runs only on 800 MHz. So, does anyone know of a Note 4 Exynos version (which country?) that supports 800 MHz (Band 20) on 4G LTE?
Appreciate any help!

I think Samsung have purposely screwed us on this
Why the hell not to include the 800 MHz band, it is the most standard of all.
A site I was looking at the other day had the 800 mhz box ticked on 4g. I assume that means it works if that's what we're on about. I'm a noob when it comes to this stuff. The site is eglobalcentral.co.uk if you want to look. Look for the note 4 and click specifications (I'm too much of a scrub to be allowed links ^^. Not sure how accurate that is or if it's what you were after.

It could be something that eglobalcentral.co.uk overlooked, I'll email them to double check.

The reason is because I have Vodafone 4G in the UK, which runs only on 800 MHz. So, does anyone know of a Note 4 Exynos version (which country?) that supports 800 MHz (Band 20) on 4G LTE?
Appreciate any help!

Unlock LTE?

Hello. As you may know, all variants of the Galaxy Gran Prime have Qualcomm's Snapdragon 410 chipset, which has LTE support, right?
So, my question is: is it possible to develop something that could unlock it on the non-LTE versions?
I have one, it is the brazilian variant of it, the SM-G530BT.
Thanks! And sorry if this is some kind of dumb question.
Unsure what the question is. LTE should work on 3G it will just show 3G and not LTE. Say you are normally in area of LTE and you go somewhere there is only 3g.
What I meant is that my carrier has 4G/LTE support, but on this phone's specs there's no LTE support. Do you get it?
It only says it has support for HSPA+ (3G+), not 4G.
