Since 2 weeks, my phone (802 international/unlocked) started to charge very slow. It takes now around 5-6 hours just for 50%, even longer when I keep using it. When switched off, the phone charges normal and is full in around 2 hours.
I use the original wall charger and cable, which worked fine before. Also tried others to no avail.
I'm completely stock, 4.4.2, stock kernel, rooted, using greenify, lagfix premium, seeder. Some frosted bloat apps, but no changes since months. Gsam battery widget is showing now a max charge of 295-500mA only, usually hovering around 300mA. Nothing close to what those chargers can do on their respective phones.
Tried 3 different chargers, stock LG, Gnex, Samsung S4 with their respective original cables to no avail. Tried my external battery pack, it can't even keep up charging anymore when using the phone.
Tried to play around with Trickster Mod, but there is no fast charging option for the stock kernel. No new wake locks or new apps installed.
Played with USB/PC Connection settings, charging only, MTP etc... No effect.
I want to avoid a factory reset, if possible.
Anyone has any more clues, what else I could do?

Basic Info: I'm currently running **[4.2.2][CM10.1][LINARO]Team Asylum CM10.1 Nighty, build date April 18 (Had recently flashed lastest nightly, then started noticing my charging issue, and flashed an earlier version to see if that would fix it.. it didn't).
The problem: I let my phone on my wireless Energizer Qi charger overnight. Charging indicator lights all went on, and I went to bed. I woke up the next morning and noticed that the phone was only at 37%. Putting the phone on the wireless charger, i noticed it will light up, then turn off, then light up, then turn off. Figured, something wrong with the charger/case, so I removed the case and tried again, same thing. Tried attaching to computer via USB, and the same thing happened, the connection dropped in and out. Now I have it attached to wall outlet, and the same thing is happening, especially if I move it around.
I managed to get it to a consistent charge (says USB though its plugged into wall..) by leaning the phone up against something, but if I move it it cuts out...
I first was thinking maybe there's something wrong with the microusb port, like what happened with my HTC Evo after a while.. but the same thing happens with the wireless charging.. So, I'm not sure what to do.. Whether it's a rom issue, a hardware issue, a kernal issue.. Any thoughts on what I should do? Wipe battery stats?.. RMA?.. Complete nandroid restore?
Adding: I have Snapdragon Battery Guru on there.. if that's relevant to anything.. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xiam.snapdragon.app&hl=en

UPDATE. Flashed francos milestone 2, and the problem seems to have disappeared.
UPDATE 2: jk it's still doing it.
I've had the same issue for about a month now. I removed the snapdragon battery guru app and it doesn't do it as often now but it will still do it. I also calibrated my battery with a battery calibration app when it became fully charged and now it will only do it about once every three days. I don't really have any other advice than that, all I know is that my phone started doing it after I finally caved and flashed a kernel.

I have the same issue and I'm completely stock and unrooted. I will wake up in the morning and the battery is at, say, 80%. Unplugging the a/c and plugging it back in doesn't help at all. I have battery widget reborn and it tells me my battery is charging at 1% per 30 minutes. This morning I hooked it up to my HTC 8X charger and it immediately started charging correctly so I'm inclined to believe it may be the charger but it could've been coincidence since other times unplugging and replugging it works. Some other times I have to power off and then on in order for it to work again.
So earlier today I noticed that my battery was at 7% and I realized I needed to charge it. I plugged it in to charge, I got the beep and the lighting bolt on the battery (and the red charging LED), and left it alone for 30 or so minutes to do other stuff, came back to check for messages and saw that my battery was now at 5%.
I've tried three different chargers, sockets, usb ports, etc... and they all have the same effect.
So I decided to see if it would charge with the phone off. Upon doing so, the phone doesn't charge and all it does is give me a really short vibration every 5 seconds.
Anybody have any ideas on what it might be? I find it rather odd that it's not charging even though every charging indicator is turning on. I'm using a stock phone with the latest OTA update. Not rooted, no custom roms, etc... It's pretty vanilla.

Two possible causes: one, your battery is dead and it is one of the Samsung published as defective (check first letters for the SN and/or try a different battery); two, your USB PCB is broken (technical service).

I've had an original Nexus 7 since it was release and had kept it stock. However it was running really slowly, after suffering that for months I finally got time to look at sorting it.
I decided to root it and put on a new ROM. I choose CM11. I downloaded and installed CM11 M5 along with GAPPS. After installing it the updated to CM11 M12.
I set the nexus up yesterday with all the different apps I needed etc. I also installed the apex launcher and altered the DPI to 160 using the rom toolbox.
I noticed however that the battery was decreasing whilst I was using it even though I had it plugged into my laptop. I don't normally charge it this way so ignored it. When I had finished the battery was down to 16% so I put it on the dock and left it overnight. When I looked at it this morning it had powered off, it switched back on but only showed 2% and quickly turned back off again. I took the lead out of the dock and plugged it into the nexus and left it. When I came back later it was up to 16%. During the day it has been used some of the time (whilst plugged in) and left on charge the rest of the time. My daughter was just using it and it powered off so flat again.
With the stock ROM it charged quite quickly and would have to be doing some intensive gaming etc to use more battery than it was charging but since the ROM update just general use flattens it quicker than it can charge and charging is taking much longer.
I was using an ipad plug with the dock and the original ASUS lead, but I have tried the original ASUS plug and the original lead but it has made no difference.
Please don't tell me I'll have to go back to stock as it is so much faster now - it doesn't lag any more and I've spent ages setting it all back up as I wanted it with separate user profiles etc!
Is there an easy fix? I've done a bit of reading about fastcharge kernels but have no idea if CM11 has one but then I read that the fastcharge only affects charging from a PC USB port?
Greetings, everyone!
I bought an N910C Note 4 back in 2015, has been working flawlessly up until the last couple months where I couldn't go more than 5 minutes off the charger without the phone dying and having to recharge it again. About a month ago, I bought a new battery and it resolved my phone's performance issues completely. At least, so I thought.
After around 2 days of having the new battery, my phone has been giving me a new issue: The phone immediately turns off(No Samsung screen or anything) when un-locking the screen or when doing just about anything(Although Chrome seems to be an exception, I haven't tested it again yet) past a certain battery percentage(Seems to be around 60% or so) and is unresponsive unless I do a battery pull or I put the charger in. Now here's the thing though, after it turns off and I put the charger back in, it still shows either the same percentage it had when it died or sometimes 2-5% less charge. After I turn it back on, the cycle continues.
I've done the following:
-Tightening the screws on the phone
-Dialing *#0228# and re-calibrating the battery
-Charging via computer with third party USB and charging via wall with original charger
-Disabled Fast Charging
-Running in safe mode
-Deleting Cache Partition
I have rooted the phone two months ago, and it is on 6.0.1. I did do a factory reset prior to getting the new battery, but I will try again if it is suggested.
Thank you for reading and I appreciate any help.
EDIT: It seems that prolonged usage of an app(As in not switching between apps or closing it out) seems to give me usage all the way to about 34-14%, where the phone then shuts off.
This issue began several days ago. I had plugged my phone in to the LG charger it came with and went on with my normal routines. Normally about an hour later I disconnect it as its usually fully charged. This time i noticed my phone was off, and extremely hot, almost unbearable to touch. Since then, the past few times I've plugged my phone in to charge, when I come back to check on it, it's turned off and extremely hot. I assume the phone is turning itself off after reaching a temperature threshold.
In normal operation, the phone does not overheat or get too warm. This only happens when I plug the phone in to charge on its normal charger.
I am going to do some experimenting tonight and let the phone charge off of my PCs USB 2.0/1A port, as I think maybe it could be the fast-charger going bad?
Has anyone else experienced this?
It's an LG V20 VS995 flashed previously to US996 firmware/rom after my switch from Verizon to T-Mobile. It's been flashed like this for a while and this issue is relatively new so I doubt its the rom (I hope!)
Edit: Figured I should also mention, battery life is just fine. I get the pretty much the same amount of life from the battery as I did when I purchased the phone give or take a few minutes.
You should test with another charger, preferably compatible with quick charge. Can't you borrow one from the neighboorhood ? Test with another charger and other good cable that the ones you used.
Could be anything from a faulty battery, charger, cable or kernel change, app update in the background, sudden amounts of wakelocks, anything really. Your best bet is to eliminate hardware as a factor, starting with trying a different power source -> charger -> cable -> battery, testing the charge temperature after changing each thing. Failing all of those variables changing having eliminated the problem, flash the latest KDZ for your model to your phone and run it dry on nothing but a stock OS. Plug it into the charger and see if the same thing happens. If not, then you know it was software, if so, then you know it's the phone.
I've also started having this issue. However, my case is slightly different.
After leaving it on the charger for a while, the screen goes to a black background with a ghost verizon logo on top of that black background. Holding power down, unplugging, replugging, etc. does not reboot the phone. I have to pull the battery in order to get it to respond. The issue only occurs after it's been charging a while. I've tried reflashing fw 15a as well.
