Hi!
I have a N9005 Note 3: TWRP custom recovery, rooted stock rom XXUFNG2.
I have a few questions:
- Can I flash a modem in a custom recovery and rooted device? Does the new modem installation affect the installed system?
- How can I flash a modem without changing the system?
- Where can I find the modem packages?
Thank you!

Hi
I have a G900F and was going to install the alliance rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2716535
It said i had to update my bootloader and modem first, i downloaded the files and did this but now my phone is stuck in boot loop.
How can i fix this please are there any stock modems or bootloaders i can renstall via odin to fix this?
EDIT: FIxed now i downloaded stock firmware and reinstalled and started from scratch.
Many thanks
When I updated my S5 from ANG2 to ANL1 through Odin the modem/baseband didn't change and is still on ANG2. From where can I download just the basebands of the SM-G900F so that I can flash the latest ANL1 modem (and later the lollipop bootloader, modem and kernel)?
Also will flashing stock Lollipop on my phone change both baseband and rom or I would have to change baseband manually (don't know from where to download it :/).

To flash a flashable .zip file you need a Custom Recovery like TWRP. So,
1. Root your phone with IORoot25. - This will give you root.
2. Download and run AutoRec on your phone. - This will downgrade your bootloader to JB and install TWRP.
3. Boot into Recovery Mode (TWRP) and flash your modem.zip. - This will give you a new modem.
Remember to back up your modem before flashing a new one.
Thank you so much.
I am currently on Lollipop on my N910G and I want to downgrade to KitKat by flashing a custom rom in recovery. Do I need to downgrade my bootloader and modem as well? I have been trying to find an Odin flashable bootloader and modem but cant find a download anywhere at the moment.
I went through this process a while ago.
From what I remember, I had to wipe the device in recovery and flash the official kitkat rom.
I think I followed this guide:

I just bought a new galaxy s4 I9505,(UAE),I rooted using CF auto root,SU is installed but custom recovery is not installed
After rooting device restarts randomly sometimes, and Touchwiz interface bars turns violet (like rendering problems) when I scroll,I want to flash lollipop roms,(samsung),

Do i have to update bootloader and modem to flash new roms? is it safe to flash TWRP through odin?
if Yes,tell me how to flash modem bootloader using odin.
Flashing a modem and bootloader is not necessary. Unless you have signal issues.
TWRP can be flashed with Odin. For me it didn't work, so I had to flash TWRP another way. Good luck
Uncheck auto-reboot before flashing the recovery in Odin and it will work.
And after twrp flashing, i can Flash my desired roms?

Yes. If you want CyanogenMod. Touchwiz roms can be flashed with Odin if that's what you're looking for.
Hey guys,
After been searching for info about and not much luck, I still have some questions about flashing modems. I am running CM12.1 nightly from last Saturday and I want to flash the hybrid LTE modem.
1.- Any risks involved I should be aware when flashing modem?
1.- For flashing modems, do I need to wipe cache, system or reinstall the Rom at all (before or afterwards modem installation)?
2.- If I switch to stock modem or install a different one, do I need to do any wiping or reinstall at all?
3.- From the attached image of my phone info, can someone confirm which stock modem I have?
Thanks in advance.
1. Use a flashable zip from here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/general/ref-mako-modem-collection-t2087227. There are also instructions how to do it.
1. Just flash modem, no reinstall or cache wipe necessary.
2. Not in terms of modem
3. See thread link above. Seems to be a modem from Android 4.3

Because he is on CM12.1, I do not think the changes to the build.prop will stick, but the easiest way is to just run the .zip here with the latest hybrid, which is a cross of the .33 LTE modem, and the latest 1.07 5.1.1 modem http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60885004&postcount=1707
