Same here gone from 10f to 10g and now to 10i and will test this version over the weekend and see how it compares to 10f.
Managed to run 10g for a whole few hours before flashing this one so cannot really comment on it at all.
I jumped from v10E directly to V10i
I flashed the V10i and now i'm installing all my applications
Purplegrake root works well on the V10i
later i will give my feedback (i'm coming from V10G Global)
the first thing that i can say is: better signal reception and less overheating during charging!
Can this be flashed on all d855 16 gb models ?
So, I made several tweakability (you can see what time maybe)
firmware V10i
Clearly, a further small step forward with signal reception, overheating and lag
Do not overheat now, even (and this was a problem), while charging the battery keeping the phone turned on. In addition, install and set above all the applications from scratch (it took me about 2 hours) never exceeded 38 degrees (celsius) despite being almost two hours in a row with the display turned on at 80% brightness
I seem to lag just disappeared, even in the drawer is not known anything except immediately after turning on the device, also going to add the widget does not load them right, they are immediately available
After a little 'test, I did root (method PurpleDrake working) and I removed all the garbage LG pre-installed, I set the animations to x5, I set Art and finally I disabled HW overlays (always on the menu developer)
the terminal is fresh and perky
only bug was apparently the clock (am pm 24 hours), how much time needs LG to solve this problem?
Note: I came from the Global V10G version, before updating I formatted, then I have updated choosing the formatting method, and after the update I reformatted
Firmware recommended :good:

Been using all day so far and am extremely pleased with the results: no lag (or very minimal I do not notice) and a lot cooler when using (even whilst charging).
A vast improvement and probably the best so far.

Yes, working fine for me.....
The question now is.... will be forever?
multi touch on mine phone on x axis is still jerking from time to time
sometimes it works normally, detects 2 fingers, then on the other hand detects one or none
will see how it will perform through the day, but since i made a clean flash, i doubt that it will be better...
I have the grounding issue with my ONE. No problems with higher temperatures though.
I flashes Franco Kernel r43 boot.img on my stock cm12s. Fo rme the issues are gone.
x-axis touching is working good. Swiping texts is finally possible again!
Thanks to synaptics!!
I will probably switch to cm12.1 nightlies again when I have some spare time left.
Any way this could be a flashable zip for all ROMs or is this something that is baked into the ROM/Kernel?

You can flash Franco's kernel below if you are on CM12s/CM12 (5.0.2). Or the alternative is to flash the 5/15 nightly (5.1) or wait for it to be rolled out OTA.

Nice! Thanks for the link. Flashing now.
I had only mild touchscreen issues so I'll see if it gets rid of them.
I've never had touch issues thus far, but I am a bit disappointed at the fix. Although I do notice a better touch response, the fix isn't a fix and is a workaround. PPPreferences has a huge battery drain (com.qualcomm.display) which basically, like I've seen written somewhere, means they're just keeping an app open to recalibrate the screen constantly.

Not for me. Nothing changed in terms of battery usage with today's nightly. Also it isn't even listed under Apps in the battery screen on my device.
This app is only used for post processing (Live Display) and has nothing to do with the new firmware.
I was suffering from pretty bad heat related issues, all gone now.
I just flashed Boeffla-Kernel for CM11s. I can definitely tell a difference. There was one app that I could make it jump when swiping up or down and holding it toward the bottom-middle of the screen, no longer have that issue. I also constantly had trouble with it "clicking" things when all I wanted to do was scroll up or down on something. Have not had that issue since flashing.

As mentioned in the root or update thread, the OTA updates contain only patches to the binary code and not full source. It'll have to come from Alcatel.

I am not sure if it is just me - but at least this part is NOT fixed. clearing open apps still has the same stutter that it had before. I restored the animation scale back to 1x and that has not changed anything. Maybe that is how it is supposed to be.
The app launching appears to have improved *slightly* . Whether double tap is more reliable remains to be seen. The update did not reset my launcher setting i.e. it did not revert to the stock launcher .
Overall - so far , I am not seeing anything worth getting too excited about - Not so far at least.
BTW - just to confirm - I now have Android version = 5.0.2 Kernel version = 3.10.49 Build number = 7SQR-UER0

Same here, not too much difference noted with this update. Anyone know if Alcatel includes a changelog someplace with these updates?
I feel differently. This update, so far, is great. The lag I had previously is nearly gone and installing apps is much much faster. DTTW has worked everytime (only tried about 7-8 times so far) unlike previously when it hardly ever worked. I don't notice anything different on the camera but I've only played with it for a short period. I've not used this phone as a daily driver since I got it in May because of the user experience, it just lagged and I hate lag - especially compared to my LG G2. Today however, I put my sim card in and will give it a true test, being the daily driver.
I was going to return it initially but held onto it waiting for an update and glad I did. I simply couldn't understand why this phone was not at least as fast (or faster) than my LG G Pro Or HTC One M7 since both of them are running the Snapdragon 600 (vs 615) and slower GPU. Plus both are also running pretty heavy skins yet both were way faster/smoother than the Idol 3. It had to be software and optimization which seems to be what this update addresses. The screen and speakers on this phone are to die for and I'm glad it's now able to be used effectively. I may think differently in a day or so after a real world test but for now I'm excited about this little guy.
I just got the update this morning, and my initial reaction is pretty good. The phone just feels snappier overall. The notification shade seems to come down very smooth all the time now. Previously, when the keyboard was open, the notification shade would drop a lot of frames when you pulled it down. The camera seems to be doing a better job of getting the correct point of focus too. Also, double tap to wake actually works now! This is huge for me because it only worked about once out of ten tries for me before. I'm happy.
Edit: I'm also seeing about 1.5GB of extra free storage. I wonder if the phone wasn't properly moving apps to the sd card before. I have about 12 games installed, and I have them all moved to the sd card.

Yep. You don't need an unlocked bootloader because you aren't using an exploit. You just backup your system image, inject the root files into it (the backup that's not on your phone), then flash the rooted backup via ADB. You can flash full KDZ or system images in download mode with a locked bootloader.
Got it as well in Israel (h815L) , cant see any difference than F version we had before.. probably under the hood stuff
Battery improvements had definitely worked... I would normally use about 8% battery in about 8 hours of zero use.... Now I used 1% in about 8 hours of zero use..... At the very least, standby performance has improved

You need Ubuntu to do it, but it is easy. The steps are in the root thread.
I've been using it for a few days also on a Rogers G4. I didn't have major touch issues but it is more responsive now. Battery is better but there is way more throttling when gaming now. It starts to throttle and lags a lot to limit heat when gaming. However, the phone itself is smoother and they fixed some things. I like that they added a notification volume control that is separate from ringtone and they moved the slow motion to Mode in the camera app.

Try disabling the Game Optimizer option in Battery Settings, probably some throttling setting. Mine is enabled by default. I did notice a lot of heat coming from this phone. Had it for about 2 days prior to update, haven't felt any heat since.

What I read it does is that it reduces graphical quality a bit to give more battery life.

Well I asked in the other thread about size and was told 1,35GB. That is roughly the same as the 5.1.1 update was. Seems quite big if they only are going to patch Starfright 2 and some minor tweaks/bug fixes. But then it can be that they fixed core bugs that needed updates to several system components or just that this is the final update for the Z1 line and thus they want to release a complete firmware.
It's over 1 GB because on XperiFirm you only get complete firmwares.
I bet the OTA notification on our phone will not download and install over 1 GB. We will only get the updated files. I don't know what size it will be. Never did an ota on my phone.

My impressions so far:
- Stagefright fully patched
- Sound seems to be louder using movies app and music app, but I don't know if it's a placebo.
- Video playback is smooth using hw+ in MX player, before that version the playback was hanging when you seek using hw+
- performance seems to be improved, since I don't have noticed any hang since the first boot
- Battery seems to be better, I only get 2% drop while testing AnTuTu and I get around 39k, I don't really care about this number since the general performance seems to be really good
- I am noticing a bug while using phone dial, It don't sound when I press the number keys.. But this is an insignificant detail for me
- Camera seems to be a little faster too
- I haven't noticed any new feature until now
- I'm from Brazil but I'm using Hong Kong firmware version which is fully compatible with the Brazil frequencies and seems to be debloated

Camera lag
Hi guys, I'm testing right now the DE prerooted zip with clean install. It's quite good it's not heating so much, I would say similar to KK. Battery drain.. can't say yet, probably still not as good as KK but good enough. The sound quality seems different (worse) to me, using really clean sounding MH1C and can hear a difference between KK and 5.1.1. But I can't stand the camera lag, found out that if I set low ISO (50, 100) there is no such lag but with higher ISOs deffinitely is and quite significant! Do have this lag too?
Waiting for the C6903.
Did anyone try any modes on the new firmware? Like 120 fps or 4K or call handling? How is the wifi? With latest firmware, mine had degraded. How is the wifi reception on the new firmware?

My first observations after upgrade:
- system is smooth and fast, but the fact is that it was such before upgrade as well;
- smart battery saving leave you less options as before; you can't use it with screen off time adjustment any more; my impression is that with no battery saving you achieve less uptime than before and with smart battery the same as before but with more restrictions;
- overall color specter moved toward blue and a lot of white; light color letters on white background are sometimes difficult to read;
- safetynet (indicator of secure applications like Android Pay and Pokemon) fails wit the last upgrade; it passed with MM and first N upgrade 336;
- still no trace of wifi calling.
Camera is subject to more deep and demanding analyze which may follow latter.
Overall I'll be glad to get safetynet back and wifi calling sometimes soon.

other guy had al10, he did what i did, u have to be on the latest software, and then register on hicare
I also upgraded to 5.0 and then I did a factory reset to set all from the beginning...It seems to me that battery runs out a bit faster (first thoughts) and I agree with all written before this post....
I fell in love with new quick tools panel quickly, so dont feel about downgrading so far))
I will wait till our russian coleagues make up a clean EMUI 5.0 (without bloat and perhaps with some customizations) as they did for 4.1 (author: greatslon at 4pda)
Or maybe our honor devs will give us some cure in new builds...
Got a new upgrade yesterday, the version B368.
This time the change log is in Chinese so I have no idea what it is about. At least it still works fine, no complain so far

It says something like:
This update optimizes the system and stability and makes the phone run more smooth. It repairs Taobao app text dialog box on order to prevent blocking input method. It also repairs the problem that call recording can’t add the specific contact. Further, the problems that outgoing call can’t be placed and phone can’t be connected to WIFI are fixed as well. Removed error that Talkback can’t be used. Fixed HuaweiShare autolaunch after WIFI download rate is reduced. Fixed issues with 123006?? and banking (shopping??) apps like Taobao. Power consumption is optimized in order to extend battery life. Screen brightness parameters optimization.
The translate is result of mutual efforts of me and GoogleTranslate and it is far from perfect.
My first impressions after update:
The system is stable and ready for the transition from beta to the production version. It is responsive, smooth and fast. No substantial deficiencies could be detected. There are still some glitches that should be improved though:
1. In order to make the outlook white as a snow (combined with sea blue) the producer made some application text hard to read (white on the bright)
2. Using the power saving mode gives you insane 6 hours of SOT. But the mode fixes screen on when passive to 30 secs time and it can't be adjusted. What could be really annoying in some situations. I would have easily sacrificed 1 hour of SOT if I had option to turn off the screen manually.
3. SafetyNet (connected with payment and other safety apps) fails after every upgrade. Thankfully so far I had it back in a few days and I hope that it will happen this time too. I think that the failure is connected to beta status of the upgrade: Google might consider upgrade as a test version of the system (safe applications don't work on the rooted phone, custom recovery, unlocked bootloader or test versions of the system). I don't understand the mechanism on which the functionality suddenly returns: is it by Huawei's intervention, Google app upgrade or simply recognizing the upgrade as real, not test version.
Finally, there is an improved custom ROM for AL10 and AL00 (HRT-Kangvip) if someone with rooted phone wanna try: http://club.huawei.com/thread-11821416-1-1.html (use GoogleTranslate).

I am in China, I already got 3 updates since I bought it (3 weeks ago).
That's why I can't really compare with marshmallow as I didn't use it much.
I just found out they still didn't fix the bug when we use the fingerprint to slide photos in the gallery. It works but it's not as smooth as before.
