Hey guys,
I was wondering if there is a better app than S-View lite that doesn't use the proximity sensor as any app that uses the proximity sensor always activates S-View when I go to drag the notifications.
Does anyone know of an app that can do that?
Thank you!

Hall Monitor. It works reasonably well on CM11:
https://f-droid.org/repository/browse/?fdid=org.durka.hallmonitor
Furthermore, it looks like some CM developers are currently working on it:

Hi there,
I don't personally use an S-View cover, but on Temasek there's an option for Smart Cover wake.

Hey guys,
Thanks for the answers. I tried hallmonitor and it seems to be working well. Isn't particularly pretty but it does the job. If anyone else has any more suggestions I'd always like to hear them.
Thanks!

Guys i was just wondering if any mods existed or anyone could do a mod for the s-view screen of the galaxy s4 ...
options like
1) S View Screen flashing or persistent notification icon for a new notifications
2) Music controls on the S view screen
3) night mode displaying time and constantly moving to avoid screen burn
4) Nokia sleeping screen like feature to add a minimum pixel picture as background for the s-view
etc, would be awesome.
I am pretty sure many other users would like these features on the phone too .
Yep i would like it too

None of the flashlight apps I have tried, or used in the past seen to be working on the n3. I get a quick flash of light then nothing. I tried a strobe app and that works just fine, just the constant light doesn't. Any ideas?
Edit: reboot just fixed the problem

Only way I've found is to use the assistive light widget.
Edit: that widget comes pre-installed btw
Just tried again and now I don't even get a flash. I tried the camera flash and that doesn't work either. Maybe my flash is burned out? Is there another way to test it?

I was using Zeus flashlight and had no problem. But I uninstalled it after finding the assistive light widget like jpjj225
iv always used galaxy torch widget on my note 2. but now that iv found the assistive light i litterally just uninstalled it galaxy torch. lol, its on the 2nd page of widgets if you cant find it.
It could just be my eyes but i find that Tiny Flashlight is brighter than the assistive light widget. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devuni.flashlight&hl=en

Are you talking about the ugly assistive light widget??
I use the flashlight that is included with the Smart Tools app that I use. It has a nice little widget also.

Yes I do have the same issue, a bug with the program? They are probably aware of this and will have a fix on the way sometime in the near future but you can always give them feedback.

Because I use the S-View cover what I do is close it and open it again and what is actually does is wake the screen. Seems like a "wake screen" bug to me, and I don't think that the proximity sensor in the settings menu can help with that, it probably works only with stock dialer and not always with third party apps like Viber. So I don't know if you try to press the power once in order to close the black screen and then open it again if it helps.
hello everyone. I need proof made by someone who has a sview cover original and Lollipop (any leak) ... Basically I shows the screen of the cover completely black and you see only the top bar of the notifications. So lacking controls and background sview. If I disconnect the cover and put it back, but I work only until you reboot and the problem reoccurs. some say that it is the fault of lollipop, some other of the cover that seems to repeat their original and I paid and salt in the package! it is as if he lost the memory on restart and did not recognize it anymore. who makes me this test?
what can i do if i think the cover is original genuine samsung and i see the a10 t10 chip?
please quote in responding. thank you
Dont really understand but here's a photo of my S-VIEW cover (And No, am not rooted, just found a setting to enable custom wallpapers)

see this thread for a guide on how to set a custom wallpaper on your s-view
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/general/how-to-set-custom-s-view-wallpaper-t2997662
Hello, friends of the Note 4.
Im note sure if i am right here to ask about a specific problem.
Like i mentioned in the headline, the display of my phone turns on by minimal touches it seems, for example if i take the phone in my hand but not puch any button. Can be that it also turns on without toches, im not so sure.
The effect is hardly reproducable though, by handling the phone rougher just to see if the display turns on. Not sure.
Im a little stumped by this problem, since it didnt changed by flashing another rom. Im a little afraid that it could be a hardware problem... Hope not.
Do you have any advice for me what to try or in what direction to look for a solution?
Thanks!
Quick Glance on for some reason? LOL!

What even is Quick Glance? I use a Note 7 rom, by the way... Just truned off smart stay. It will take time to see if it solved the problem.
I think this problem is related to the apps that can appear on top like pie control, drup or any other 3rd party apps. So try to disable them one by and see which app is causing this problem. Cheers
