Guys i was just wondering if any mods existed or anyone could do a mod for the s-view screen of the galaxy s4 ...
options like
1) S View Screen flashing or persistent notification icon for a new notifications
2) Music controls on the S view screen
3) night mode displaying time and constantly moving to avoid screen burn
4) Nokia sleeping screen like feature to add a minimum pixel picture as background for the s-view
etc, would be awesome.
I am pretty sure many other users would like these features on the phone too .
Yep i would like it too

http://pachome1.pacific.net.sg/~welic/claunch.html

tdLaunch
You may try this one:

What is the GUI Skining application you are using that "!STILL!" shows the phone signal icon. Most GUI Skinning apps cover this info up! Please let me know I can't wait, so excited!
GUI skin
The picture is not a screen capture of hops's XDA but taken from oabsoftware. And you are right, I didn't notice this. We have to ask them what were they using when they took this picture.
yes please do! I see sometime people doctoring the display to make their product look nice but, it really gets a lot of people excited about something that does not exist I have seached long and hard and nothing seems to be able to do it without cover the signal bars  so I thought it might be pocket blinds a new version but they still have the old one out from years ago no update, and it doesn't work. So needless to say my hopes are high here. So keep us posted I'm sure I'm not the only one wanting this 8)

did you know that if you go to pictures and video and then menu and options and click over a tab you can select a screen saver to run while you connect to the laptop..
and you can jot down a note on top of the picture using the transcriber and then click over to screen shot and make an awesome note with a picture background that you can send to your friends.
also axyz mobile makes a program called keep recordin' and since i like making music i can just play an mp3 in the windows audio player and record your voice at the same time, perfect for audio notes.
this is all for now.
p.s. lets clean up these boards and learn to be kind to eachother yet again

Hello,
I've recently upgraded from the Note to the Note 2 and I'm over the moon. Everything about this new device improves on the first and I'm so glad I upgraded.
My only gripe is this side bar that has mysteriously appeared and appears on every screen no matter what I'm doing and I don't know how to get rid of it.
As you can see in the attached image its a little tab on the left of the screen

that slides out to reveal a tray of applications but it's completely redundant and just frustrating.
Does any one know how to remove it?

Never mind someone just started a thread asking the exact same question while I was making this. Please can this one be closed?
Thanks!

That is multi windows slide bar....... Long press on back button will give that result
Just goes to show, one man's trash is another man's treasure... a week ago everyone was looking for multi view this week everyone wondering why the bar is so intrusive

Damn right By the way, can you add other apps tp this sidebar? I was only able to add FB app
Anybody figured out a way to get the desk clock mode to work without a dock? My N2 would do it. Why would they remove something so simple and functional. Oh wait... they wanted to sell docks, because spending $800 on a phone that's supposed to do it all wasn't enough.
One of you smart guys need to figure this out.
Edit: Damn, I could have sworn I put this in Q&A. Mods please excuse my stupidity and move this where it belongs.
Okay, so I pulled the ClockPackage.apk, AccuweatherDaemon.apk, AccuweatherWidget.apk and AccuweatherWidget_Main.apk from an old Beans N2 ROM and put them on the N3. The good news is you get the desk clock with working alarm without the need for the dock. The bad news is the fonts are kinda screwy and the time displays over the calendar. If you can live with that, you can have your clock back.
Install the 4.4 kit kat clock... turn daydream on... Select clock... runs the clock in night mode whenever it's charging
Or...
Install the kit kat clock... Open ... hit settings... Select "night mode" ... for use when not charging
Pretty sexy clock ... and has screen saver functionality where it moves around the screen all night.

And normal mode works fine as well I suppose... just doesn't have many shortcut options like the older desktop clocks had
hello everyone. I need proof made by someone who has a sview cover original and Lollipop (any leak) ... Basically I shows the screen of the cover completely black and you see only the top bar of the notifications. So lacking controls and background sview. If I disconnect the cover and put it back, but I work only until you reboot and the problem reoccurs. some say that it is the fault of lollipop, some other of the cover that seems to repeat their original and I paid and salt in the package! it is as if he lost the memory on restart and did not recognize it anymore. who makes me this test?
what can i do if i think the cover is original genuine samsung and i see the a10 t10 chip?
please quote in responding. thank you
