Thanks and good bye - Galaxy S I9000 General

Hello to everybody,
i want to say "Thank you" to all of the excellent ROM designers here for the old Galaxy S. After 4 years i give my Galaxy S to my parents-in-law and bought me a Jiayu G4S.
It is different not to have such a great community whichs develop and help but i not regret my desicion.
Many thanks to who helped me, who develop so many good ROMs and who keep this great device alive - Thank you !!

FAQ

Dear fellow Galaxy S Users,
For almost a year now it has been my honor and my pleasure to maintain the FAQ and Guides for our beloved GT-I9000.
I would like to thank all those who helped make the FAQ what it is today and all the developers who helped make this phone such a massive success in the modding aftermarket.
As of today I am the proud owner of a brand new Galaxy S II GT-I9100.
As such I am looking for someone to take over maintenance of the FAQ so that it can continue to benefit the SGS community. (I cannot afford to own two high-end devices at the same time so my old I9000 will have to go during one of the next days)
If you are interested and feel you are qualified, please contact me via PM or leave a reply in this post.
Cheers,
Darkstriker
Thanks for creating and maintaining these great FAQs. For many of us they were the starting points in modifying our SGS phones without bricking

Take a moment and Thanks our notorious Devs.

I just got my tab and I tell you im reallyimpressed to see so much development on this device & all the credit goes to our selfless, hardworking Devs. So I request ya'all to take a moment and thank all our Devs.
Thanks so much guys you are amazing. Keep up the great work.
Thank them with a money contribution.
I want to big-up Oldmacnut (aka Jim, aka Mr Stink Finger)
Not everyone can afford to contribute. That's why its a donation and not a charge...
It's nice if you can, the devs still have bills to pay too but sometimes it's just not possible to scrape together any cash (been there, done that)...
It's good to acknowledge them and thank them though if you can't afford to donate, makes them feel appreciated, after all they are sharing the efforts of their labours (which they would've still done anyway - the work not the sharing) with all us poor Android programming illiterates out here who have no technical knowledge or no idea where to begin.
Of course, showing written gratitude is important, but check download stats - contributions-to-download is one-to-thousands.
And really, this device is a luxury item. So anyone using the tab with custom roms isn't in a dire financial situation.
same here, just got my first android tab and its amazing!!
Tks to Task650's rom, its so smooth!
I wish I could tks him but I still need more posts
Thanks to the notorious Developers
Hi guys, I'm such a noob and have trolled the site for a few months to now realize that I should show some gratitude for all the good work you guys have done.
Love the noob video btw!
I have a Galaxy Tab, upgraded it with Gingerbread it's fantastic.
Thanks, Hans
I´m using custom ROM (Overcome Kratos) since de first moment i bought (ebay) my used P-1000. I can´t ask questions (don´t want to disturb using pm) and i still have some issues to make the GT run smoother. I owe "thanks" to the developer and, why not donation, as soon as the forum give me rights to post and get help.
yeah give thanks and donate.
Donated and thanked oldmacnut for his work on the cdma tabs, his roms are great

---((((( Grateful message for all DEV here )))))---

in the end of 2011 year just want to thank all dev here for
there effort and time that they spend to make us more happy with our DHD
and thanks very much for anyone support them even if pressing thanks button.
thnx for all and really wish to them more success and good luck.
+1, Happy new year to all on the DHD thread, and all at Xda.
Thanks for feeding a flash-a-holic over the past year.
Cheers
Yeah I'd like to say a big thankyou as well, my phone experience has been much better with roms I've tried out this year, I am becoming a romaholic though LOL, flashing all the time!
With the Desire, there weren't THAT many ROMs to choose from, and even so, I was a flash-a-holic... Now, with the DHD, I see there are plenty of ROMs... I hope I'll find a cure soon...
Thank you for keeping the DHD alive. If it wouldn't have been for the devs, I believe at least 50% of us would have been sentenced to death for inflicting painfully headbangs on our phones...
Wish you also a Happy New Year Celebrate, beautiful ..
Greetings, Chriss
Here here, thanks to all devs who offer their time and effort to support a dedicated userbase of fans/enthusiests. And to the users who offer constructive feedback to the devs too, they do have a useful role to fill..
haapy new year guys
Happy new year to all of you

Goes from me also, Happy New Year guys and many thanks for all your hard work, determination and dedication to the android platform and our devices in particular long may it continue for another year. My particular thanks go to:
LeeDrOiD for his amazing ROM being my first lol and everyone associated with helping him and the regular thread contributors.
The ARHD team and their recognised userbase for all of their help and support.
The RCMix3D team for their great efforts to port Sense 3.5 and for their great kernels that work so well with ARHD.
koush and madmaxx for Rom Manager/CWM and 4EXT/4EXT Recovery Control and everyone involved with theming the latter and releasing Recovery Touch.
Hope you acheive all your goals in and out of the community for the new year. We just wouldn't survive without you. Three Cheers Hip Hip....
I just changed my phone for a Motorola RAZR

Bye guys and thank you.
not much point in answering this anyway, but...
wrong thread!

it was a great experience !

hi guys ...i sold my XSP as i have a lot of studying now and i planned to buy a new phone which support MM as an official state to get latest update without the need to take some time in flashing (i love flashing but i can't do a lot of that now because of the studying thing !) ....
shortly i just wanna say that this community was a very kind and a very great one !! i met some awesome people some of them became my friends but it was truly a great experience... i spent a lot of time here so it's like leaving home or something believe me
so i just wanna say thanks for all the people in this great community ! :good:
and thanks to deves who build great ROMs and kernels starting from 4.1.2 to 6.0.1 which no one thought our device will live that much !
and for sure a huge big fat enormous thanks to the one and only in this community @Adrian DC who worked a lot and still working to get (xsp) still running smoothly
i'll be still here and help if i could help
but for now goodbye xperia sp it was a great experience.... :fingers-crossed:
