Hi xda,
I was just wondering if anyone has made sone kind of schematic to make Google Cardboard fit the Galaxy Note 3. I'd really like to make it and try it out but the original schematic for it won't fit. Any help?
Thanks in advance

Hi everyone
This one is a bit strange, I was thinking about using my note 3 as a monitor. So yes i want to send live video from differwnt camera to note 3 screen. I dont think anybody did this and just wanted to know if anybody here heard anything about such thing? I basicaly want to put my phone in something like vr glasses and send video feed to it. Like fpv goggles. Any help much appreciated.
Dont know if this helps but I use a cctv cam to send live video feed and there alot of apps for that and camera.
That would create a bit of lag and i cant afford that. It would have to be conected directly to the phobe somehow. I fly quadcopters and note 3 screen would be ideal for fpv experience...
Seen something on TV about that looks good.

I asked about streaming video to the phone in a VR when doing a testrun with the Note 4 in the Gear VR. They (Samsung) suggested trying Samsung Link.
Alternatively you can use any remote desktop app to simply stream the feed from your PC to your phone in full screen.
If you want to use your phone as a live view for a camera, you'll likely need the app related to the camera. I use EOS Remote for my EOS 70D, and GoPro App for my GoPro.
That helps, i need to research samsung link thingy... thanks a lot!
I am doing a project that involves making a VR headset for my pc with DODO case and galaxy Note 3.
I can`t buy a Oculus Rift DK2, short on cash, thats why i want to make a DIY display.
The problem is that i dont know how i can (if at all) have the same display as PC on the Note 3. I tried iDisplay, but that thing lags, Tirnus Gyre is good, but it lasts for 10 mins.
Can anyone help me?

Have you tried the Trinus VR app?
Hey all,
I'm looking for a cheap solution for making my not-so-old-yet-stupid car a bit smarter.
Browsing gearbest, I ran into products like the Junson H99 and the Junsun E26.
It offers front & rear cameras, does not require replacing any plastics, and allows you to install apps such as Waze.
And.. it's 100$!
So I'm looking for any pros and cons, or other recommendations.
Will I be able to root (I saw similar devices can be rooted using KINGROOT)?
Thanks!
Someone? Anyone?
Pretty please?
Hello guys and moderators, sorry if I posted this in the wrong section, this is my first thread.
My question is, is it possible to mod the micro usb to type C and the retainer switch to make the original gear vr work with this phone?
Will the phone even fit? That gearvr was made for the s6 which has a different screen size/ratio so i doubt the image will look like it should with the newer gearvr's.
But with a dremmel tool its possible to make it fit, the problem is the connector itself, is it possible to mod it to a usb type C?
It would be nice to get it working since s8 compatible gear vr is a little expensive at the moment.
I think the cheapest is the R323 model
