What files have you changed?
try to change status_bar_item_background_normal
***EDIT***
Decompile your SystemUI.apk
open /res/layout/status_bar_latest_event.xml
Find the line with android:background
The value is the path of the image.
For example, the line is android:background="@android:drawable/status_bar_item_background"
It's either in the framework-res/res/drawable
or framework-res/res/drawable-ldpi
If you've found it in the drawable folder, open the xml file, the values are the path to the actual .png image

Custom TF3D Background Package

Anyone else tired of the Sub-par quality in the backgrounds you get when resizing them for TF3D....I Have converted and re sized some wallpapers while maintaining a good quality Background, I was happy with the results and figured i would share them with the community....
Any comments or replies, even requests would be appreciated
included are the raw files the converted file and the manila file, so no need to edit using manila editor. Just copy your favorite to the Windows directory

you can download the .zip attached and all files are included there....if you saved them directly off the post you need to use manila editor to edit your current background
Have you already did the background4All mod?
great work
I gonne use them and love to see more manila backgrounds.
if you need more wallpapers you can use mine.

[Help] framework-res XML editing problems

Hello there
I try to make a theme for the Rascream rom and i have some problems with XML editing and from what i see i'm not the only one with this problem.
I actually try to change colors of the text and a line in popup menu, but every time i recompile the framework-res apk with modified values, the statusbar and the lockscreen are deformated (look the screenshot)

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I try to change the blue text and line in this screen to white...
Is here someone can help with this problem. This is the only thing i need to change for finish the theme. I try all i find over the internet, but without success.
No one?
Sometimes xml editing involves adding new lines to overlay others somewhere else. With ics ive noticed in arrays there are theme statements which change cursors, texts, and borders just from one change to the statement. Maybe check some source on the reboot options to narrow it down. Are you editing source or decompiling framework-res.apk?
But if i change any line i have everytime the same error.
I decompile the esisting framework-res.
Tnx for the help realy

it was in systemui... i think its name starts from plm_background..
Thanks for the reply however i didn't find any filename like you said. Do you know which xml code to edit?
Decompile SystemUI.apk....It's in system/apps....after that go to the many drawable folders where there are the images for the apk...you'll find the image for this one...
Code:
System.out.println("Sent from my SGY");

No coding required... just change colour of a png file
I attached the drawable-ldpi folder inside my systemui, and there's no plm_background file.
Would anyone just tell me what it's corresponding xml file and xml code so i could locate the correct file name of the background? Thanks

That's not just color, that's an image... go to drawable-ldpi... go to last space of the folder... then you can see the pictures which has filename of zzz.... before this filename you will find the image you want... and I'm not sure, that will be correct place... but lately I seen it and edited it in that place...

Thanks for the reply, I think I know what to do now

How do I change the size of the battery and Wi-Fi icons?

Hey guys,
I'm on Jelly Bean for performance, but I'm trying to replicate the looks of Honeycomb the best I can. I just swapped out the Wi-Fi and battery icons but as you can see below, they're too small. I believe I would change the size settings for these icons in the following xml files, but I looked with PSPad and a hex editor, and I don't see any values to change.
systemui.apk - drawable.xml and layout-sw600dp.xml
and here is the pic:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Please help - I'm so close to being done with this!
Glad to see someone else likes the Honeycomb look. You might need to change the actual drawable for this, I don't think it has a value that can be edited.
Armada,
Thanks for the reply. So do you mean the entire folder?
I see in res:
/layout:
battery_low.xml
/drawable:
stat_sys_battery.xml
stat_sys_battery_charge.xml
stat_sys_battery_charge_min.xml
stat_sys_kb_battery.xml
stat_sys_kb_battery_charge.xml
but no reference to Wi-Fi. So maybe it is the whole folder...

Thanks to a suggestion by Sonny Sekhon, the problem has been fixed and I now have a fairly complete Honeycomb look on Jelly Bean! Since the images were too small, there was no need to edit any .xml but instead, I just multiplied the size of the drawables by 1.5x.
Thanks, Sonny!

Change the clock position in Display > Screen Display > Clock Position to top. That way, the text will move down.

Then you'll have to edit the layout files in twframework-res.apk or if the text is hard coded, you'll have to edit the relevant smali files to do it.
