thanks and sorry for my not searching the entire website
hello everyone
I have an issue with my i9500 screen.
I installed Display Tester app from Play Store. I run the Defective Pixel Detection test.
In red, green, and blue color, it doesn't have any problem (or it's just my eyes). But, in white color and grey, there's kind of darkish red tint with gradation in upper side of screen. So basically the screen appear brighter in the bottom but darker in upper side. I've tried turning off auto and maximize the brightness, but the problem is still there.
It's very noticeable too in Viewing Angle test.
So anyone have this issue? and (perhaps) the fix?
mine is running on latest OTA update (XUAMDK baseband and XXUAME1 build number)

I've had 2 devices with this issue, I'm pretty sure is a hardware problem so I don't think an update will fix it. You should go for a replacement.
I have the same problem but in the left side of the screen it has yellow tint while in the right side it has pink. I took it to samsung customer service today, they told me we will call you once we take a good look at it.
Same issue with mine

mine is darker with a pinkish tint on the top half.
It is a hardware problem. Hopefully my replacement phone does not have the problem.
Hi, i have an issue, when testing the screen in a dark room (no light at all) and put screen brightness to maximum, when come to black (i wanted to see contrast) and i see that in all corner i have some little pink ink mark.. Since last week I am seeing horizontal banding (dark/light banding) on the screen, this is very notable on white backgrounds/low brightness.
Not sure if this is a result of screen burn in, any body seen any thing like this? Is this a hardware issue?
Since today when I tilt the phone sideways I get a blue hue on the display. Restarting the phone doesn't help.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Firmware is 47.1.A.12.179
