such situation began as I bought it and I haven't displayed any picture similar to it
you guys experienced this?

Are someone has same issue? and how to fix it? thank you very much.
sorry for my bad english
The best I could to to check mine was to open up my email. The whole screen is white. I did not see anything except white along the edge.

thank you very much.
please try in LCD Test(*#0*# in Diagnostic Mode) select RED you will see a white border but on my device left-border is green (other sides are OK).
It's very hard to be absolutely sure on red, but on blue and green the edges are definitely all white.

I loaded your JPG onto my Focus and the left side is green. The left side is always green, but the right side and even the top and bottom can also appear green if you hold the phone at certain angles. The green can also appear purple at extreme angles.
Is this a manufacturing flaw, or just a characteristic of AMOLED screens? Could it be some sort of back-lighting source that's located along the left edge that's causing the green tint?
I loaded the picture after downloading it and then attaching it to an email.
It does have a strange tint on the left side.
I then created my own version of the image. I started with a 480 x 800 blank image in Photoshop. I filled the entire image with black at 100% opaque.
Then I stroked the outer edge with 1 pixel of white. I repeated this using 2 pixels and then 3 pixels. As you can see, it is still visible at 3 pixels, but it is starting to turn white. I think we are seeing a consistent result that means the AMOLED screens have a slight design problem that is not considered to be worth holding back this technology from the market. I know I like the display and this is minor.
Hi Everyone,
Greetings from Egypt
I have a quick question, i got the HTC Trophy 2 weeks ago, when i first switched it on, I noticed Vertical Grey lines evenly spaced on the screen
It is very noticable when the background is white or grey (I mean light backgrounds), it is very annoying
for example, when you open Hotmail, you can see it as the background is white, Twitter, Facebook and so on (light backgrounds)
did anyone notice this problem ? from my search on the Internet, this problem is called banding, does it affect all the handsets
Thanks
Mohamed

Mine is fine... had a friend with the same problem and he promptly went back to trade it in. Got a brand new one, with no problems.
Thank you Avandor for the update
now you said it i've noticed it too
but it's a very bright grey almost white but still noticeable, isn't it?
i think this is almost on every trophy but some people notice it and some don't...
like flickering or phosphorlag on Plasma TV's
hello everyone
i received my snapdragon note 3 yesterday, was playing with it till i found something, its hard to explain but i will do my best.
what i noticed is that when i move something blue (like the small bars between each alphabet in contacts) to a black space (where pixels are shut off), the blue bar turns purple for like quarter of a second and then goes back to its original color.
it is really bothering me, i waited like a month to get the snapdragon version from outside my country and now this is happening.
could it be software issue? as i remember that note 1 has a display issue where black color appear grayish in homescreen, if so, what are the best stock roms that support RDLV root with out tripping knox ? last thing to note is that it is really hard for me to return it to where it came from.
any help appreciated.
edit: it apear that it is happening with the gray color or any other one that tend to be grayish at very low brightness

This is something you'll either have to get used to and learn to live with, or sell the device. It's a HARDWARE issue, not software, and it can never be "fixed" in any way. The short explanation:
What you are seeing is the latency inherent to the design of the AMOLED pixel matrix. It takes some time for the pixels to go from black (off) to any other color (on) and what you perceive as a blur or "small bars" before it does so is this latency, and when you are driving so many pixels on a full-HD display, the latency is even more apparent.
Samsung has attempted to mask this design limitation by essentially taking true black (off) away from the user, but it only works for Samsung apps and the parts of the OS that are tied to the Touchwiz UI.
update:
it appears that this problem is called smearing/ghosting, the reason it happen is that samsung made pixels combletly turn off when it is black in addition to cutting any power going to the screen.
why Samsung did this? well, to fix something called mura effect (black amoled screen can be seen as green or brown in very dark room), this caused a delay in turning on the pixels again which caused this effect (especially with gray color).
the solution is to use an app called screen adjuster (found for free in play store) and using the following setting:
red +14
green +14
blue +14
brightness 100
contrast 0
hope this help anyone who encounter this problem
cheers

as i said in the post above, i managed to solve it but adjusting screen colors (a Little bit that it does not affect the overall colors and in the same time keep black pixels on)
by the way, are all note 3 owners facing this issue like what happened to most s4 users or just me?

Just so you know that all you've done to "solve" the problem is shift the colors up to remove black. It's not worth the loss of a true black (off) pixel state, IMO, but to each his own. All Note 3/S4 owners have this issue. Some don't notice it until it's pointed out to them, but it's a hardware/design issue common to every single unit without exception.
hey
when I go in camera mode there are 3 screen artifacts, one blue one green and one red, they are about 4 or 5 pixels in size and are spread out across the screen.
when I take the picture and view in gallery, the artifacts are not there, so clearly they are not an issue with the censor.
When I view a picture or a solid screen, the screen looks fine so its not a stuck pixel or problem with the phones display.
this leads me to believe its an issue with the camera app, does anyone else notice this??
Wut?
Hi, I moved from OG pixel to pixel 4 and noticed that screen has problem. On 100% on brightness when opening totally black picture screen is not totally turned off and when touching it screen greys out a bit. Is it bug or hardware issue?
Can anyone check it on own device?

I have noticed the following: When screen brightness is 50% or less and I touch the screen such as typing on keyboard, the screen flashes very slightly on every tap. It feels like the screen draws too much power and battery is low. I went to Verizon store to check display unit and it did the same thing. Maybe your issue is similar

I didn't contact Google because the store model had the same thing. I just tried to troubleshoot what could be causing it and seems that when I disable "smooth display" in settings>display and then tried to reproduce the issue by typing on the keyboard and the screen doesn't seem to flicker anymore.
Try to disable the setting on your phone and see. This might be a software issue then.
I found similar thread(you are probably on it too) on Google community site and replied to that thread: https://support.google.com/pixelphone/thread/22331033?hl=en

You are right I disabled smooth display and it stopped flickering but there is one more thing when brightness is on 100% and opening totally black picture I can notice little lightning of the screen in corners it means that pixels are not going off like it should be on oled screens. Could you please check it also?
It could be checked only in the dark daytime it's not noticable

Alright, I found a black image with only a small moon in the middle. Did the test on 100% full brightness but don't see any pixels on the screen. Check my image(attached) and compare.

Yes, of course. I turned off the lights. I have seen issues where some phones had some light seeping through(light bleed) at some edges. Is that what you see?

It is difficult to understand anything from the picture. Try some display test apps. Check to see if you have something installed such as 3rd party theme or an app that interferes with the display of your phone. Also if you can compare your phone with the one from the store.

If it is in the corner(s) then it is light bleed. The screen is good and it is just some screen backlight being seen through the frame. At least this is how I understand your situation from my previous experience.
