Sea salt is not so good, but you can try blowdrying the headphone jack (make sure you turn on Cool air not Hot). Give that a try

I turn manytimes but no solution

Salt water is harsh on electronics. Quite likely there are mineral deposits or moisture remaining in the headphone jack.
Try using a minature bottle brush or perhaps pipe cleaner to gently clean the jack. Using a little contact cleaner or even a little distilled water (not tap water) should help. Then give it sufficient time to dry before using it.
.

I make all solution as you says but not working headphones& IR ????

Can u describe me what's that mean ?????
Sent from my SM-G900H using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

That is an excerpt from the S5 hardware test menu. It shows that the bias level parameter for the heart rate monitor didn't test within expected bounds.
Nominally that would mean that your HRM is misadjusted, has a dirty window or has otherwise failed. But it's probably a spurious result because you aren't testing under controlled conditions, specifically the test procedure outlined in the service manual.
If you clean the sensor window and rerun the test several times, with your finger over the sensor, away from it, etc, you will probably show that the sensor passes after all.
.

Until this moment IR Blaster & headphones not detected by my S5 ????

I'm on my second N4 (first was changed for a note 2) , and they both have that. I think that is the vibrator , because as you see in the picture , the vibrator is out of any kind of structure.
Thats what sounds, I dont think is bad... but o course try to avoid any extremelly hard hit of avoid droping it (maybe this can be worst for the back glass than for the vibrator).
So it's normal.... It anoys me too but well, I have to let it go.... at the end this is an LGE phone :/
It's the lens components, parts are moving and that's how it focuses. When not in use they kind of move freely so that is why it's making noise.

Headphone jack

Recently my phone will randomly start playing music and then turn off. When I'm trying to make calls it will also randomly think there's headphones in and therefore I'll no longer get any sound unless I hit the phone... Is there any easy way to fix it?
Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Try cleaning out the headphone jack gently with a toothpick and some compressed air, maybe there is some conductive lint in there.

Talking about the N9005, don't know if the N9000 has the same.

hehe no not that one, its on the right side of the phone all the way to the bottom just above the corner. the hole is a bit bigger than a microphone hole.

prob temp and humidity sensor
Yes, I see it... I have no idea what it could be. It's not listed on the Consultant Guide or the Manual (http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/c...UM_EU_Jellybean_Eng_Rev.1.0_130910_Screen.pdf )
It is no doubt a sensor, though which remains a mystery.
Temp and humidity sensor. Is the only one.who needs contact with the surrounding air. On the bottom the heat from the process will alter the readings. I'm 100% that i'm right about this.

What is your source?
Common sense. I do.have S4 with temp.and.humidity sensor and it's a hole more than the two mics. The Note 3 the same, only other placement of the hole. the S4 active does not have the temp and humidity sensor...so no extra hole, just thw two mics.

That's my point, how often do you really care what the humidity level is?
I used to drag race and a humidity sensor would have been great to have back then. Helps with calculations for settings.

Isn't humidity and barometer sensor supposed to help with location in google maps? And I would suspect that those might be useful in a crowd sourcing app or whatever for more accurate weather per location if it is available to be used that way which as of now I don't think it is.
This article is an interesting read about how the sensor got incorporated into samsung devices/android.
Acording to Anandtech it's actually the third microphone that's used for noise cancellation : http://www.anandtech.com/show/7376/samsung-galaxy-note-3-review

Hi, I've my unit purchased in India. Don't know which model. I think It's 9000. It has a hole in the right side. Don't know what for. Besides, on the bottom right, next to S Pen slot, there is a rectangular open slot too. Any idea?

Water test...*kuch* failed

Well, after usual setup, playing around and other things you do when you received your toy I tried the famous watertest. Which I bought it for.
After checking the bits and pieces that need to be closed, I gently placed it in the filled sink while playing some iptv show and recorded it. Nice to show up when with friends and so. See? No problem!
hone resp
Recording went great but when I went back to the room the screen started to glitch and touchscreen stopped working. Phone went into reboot loop and freaked out. After removing SIM and SD card and pushing the red button the phone started. When it was ready booting, the touchscreen was still not working. After a few minutes, the screen started to flicker.
So for those who want to try. Please do, now it's still under warranty.
Thre's a youtube movie of this happening on the IFA too. Don't know the name of it.
This one will be returned.
I haven't tried yet and wasn't really planning on doing so, but your thread is tempting me... After all it is supposed to be a water proof phone, right?
For someone that has already dealt with Sony, how easy is it to deal with them for a warranty aim like this?

you will be able to buy a new flap/cover here in the near future - one of the reasons why the dock or magnetic cable is a must have
http://rounded.com/
to the OP - you might have trouble convincing Sony that you had all the flaps properly closed, they can do a vacuum test on the phone but you are putting you trust in them to be honest and truthful about their findings
here's an interesting water damage pack http://www.clove.co.uk/rescuetec-water-damage-repair-recovery-kit
I really hope so I sent them a email thanks I ordered one of the magnetic chargers

I think you shouldnt open flaps after having it in water. I understand that They Were closed under water, but when it was still wet, some water could have Got under flaps when you opened them and sony May say that They were not properly closed

Well, my previous phone was xperia Z and every time I went into the pool I took Z with me and stayed for at least 2 hours in the water and never had a single issue. As Z1 is even more waterproof, I had no problem whatsoever taking it with me.
I've tested my phone on a log flume and in a jug of water. No problems....

Some forum member wanted to know whether the flaps were (properly) closed. They were...I recorded it. And checked about a dozen times. It's a 600+ euro device...So Sony can claim what they want. A vacuum test will show the answer.
Nice thing happened when packed for returning it. It went on for no reason (without display ofcourse) and after an hour I felt heat through the box (the original box it comes in when buying it).... barely couldn't touch the device, had to reset the device (button near the SIM) and now it's on a fireproof place just in case awaiting arrival of the repair guy.
(pickup and return guy actually)
I took the plunge last night and submerged my phone to show it to friends. It still works fine....
Shame about the phone. I tried mine this morning while showering. Took some pictures and they turned out to be rather artsy (yes, they're SFW)!

Don't get me wrong, I still love the phone and of course this one somehow slipped through QA. It's not a rant against Sony or something. I just want to say that It is possible that the phone isn't waterproof in all cases. So be carefull when dropping it in the water. Just like the girl on the IFA youtube clip already showed us. She tried a working device at the Sony demo stand and was allowed to submerge it. Device broke. Whoops...
By the way does anyone played with the touch block feature? Whatever that is? It seems some sort of automatic touchscreen disable feature so that the water does not causes fake touch presses.
May be with this article, you prevent issues in the futur ?

Those flaps aren't really tough like the body. I suggest u should keep the phone away from Water.. If warranty exists, go to the service center and complain.. Next time, be careful with the flaps..
I've had my XZ since launch and it's fine - loose, but stays in when I close it. How have you been using the flap? Yanking it out with all your strength or something?
The only thing you really can do is get it replaced if it's under warranty.
I've always been carful with the flaps, but they are honestly the biggest physical design flaw of the XZ imho, and greatly improved in following models. The rubber seals roll and stretch just by closing and opening, and eventually will get caught and tare. I've replaced mine once already on the charge port. The port covers are a sloppy cheap design.
Also another reason I'm looking for an upgrade - mag charge cable so I don't have to keep opening the mini usb port.
Better flap design rather than higher IP Rating is way more important. In the case of XZ, it seems the flaps have been left out in terms of durability. I hope that's what newer premium models bring.

Had a similar problem try cleaning it with a cotton swab.
There's also an old thread discussing the same.
Don't use liquids otherwise you'll void your warranty.
That being said I "CAREFULLY " used a swab and isopropyl alcohol to clean mine.
It might just be a dust problem on sides.
