installing rom wwe1.72 on mda 2 help!

i have recently installed the 1.72 rom everything seems to be working fine ,but i cannot turn of my connection once i connect to bthe internet gprs...im sure i forgot to do something someone plz help..!

Not sure why you want to turn-off your GPRS connection, its should not worry about it, you have unlimited GPRS if you live in USA with T-Mobile coz I do (if you pay $4.99, $9.99 or $19.99)
BUT if you still need to turn it off, just tap the signal bar and you should be able to disconnect your connection. Hope this help...

gprs on tmobile mda 2
Well.., first off i do not want to drain my battery with my gprs,even though i do have unlimited internet access from tmobile, also i tried to just tap it..(give it a lil tappy just tap it in..)didnt work still connected although if you hold the end call button for 5 seconds it will turn off but that s annoying..hmmm.. maybe i forgot to install something when upgrading the rom?? hell i dunno im a newbie to this; but once i figure it out i will help as many people possible on here..

[Q] No Data connections via Phone in Android

Hi:
I am using AmeriCanAndroid AOSPHD2GB232CM7RC1|bkup2sdext234[KERNEL:AmCanAndroid r2.21] and just about everything works perfectly.
The only issue I seem to have is in Android, I cannot use the mobile phone to get internet. The Phone sends and receives call perfectly, but if I want to use Market or the browser, I get the error:
A NETWORK ERROR HAS OCCURED. rETRY OR cANCEL AND RETURN TO PREVIOUS SCREEN.
I think I have tried every combination of settings in the wireless section. Is anyone else having this issue?

the only known temp(!) fix is to restart ur phone , given ur settings are correct it should work for a while .... have you been switching data on/off a few times? thats when it happens to me ....
be sure to report this problem to rom cooker so it gets fixed faster ...

When you say restart, do you mean restart android? I don't think I have ever been connected, unless there was WIFI in the area.

I use this ROM without these problems.
Try to check the apn and the DNS. Have a look at the faq.

i have the same problem but im using HD2Froyo_V2.1.7z.
everything works perfectly fine except for my data connection.
the only way i can use the internet is via wifi

Yes I also has the same problem. Please let me know if you find a solution. Wifi works fine on my HD2 after flashing to Anroid 2.2 Bur no data connection through phone connection.

No Data connection
I am have the same problem on my phone also. Have the T-Mobile phone using the ATT system. Have tried several different roms and still cannot get a Data connection. A lot of us need some help please. If anyone can shed light on this, please let us know.

call t-mobile
i called t-mobile and told them, i could only connect to the internet via wifi. i pay for data and i cant connect unless its through wifi. DO NOT mention that you flashed your phone, put a different ROM or Android.
After doing this my internet started to work again

May I ask what you told TMO?
I read in an older post that you may have to switch from smartphone data plan to android data plan to connect to the internet, does anyone have any idea about this??
I also am curious if my build is synonymous with failed data connection... as well as (not related item) battery sucking....???or any other know issues as I seem to misplaced the page I downloaded it from...

Galaxy note calls not working

hey guys
well the problem is that i can no longer recieve or make calls from my galaxy note...
was working till this afternoon had it in the car.. my daugher watching videos on youtube... then just started breaking.. and from that moment.. NOT WORKING...
dont know what to do anymore... flashed the original italian rom everything stock and the problem is still the same.....
everything works...wifi...bluetooth....ecc... just data stuffs.. no calls ... non sms...etc
when i try making a call i get a message MOBILE NEWTORK NOT AVAILABLE
in NETWORK OPERATORS it finds all the various networks... ie.. vodafone.. TIM...3 ITA... AND I WIND (my operator) when i click on IWIND says unable to connect. try later....
PLEASE HELP.. NEED MY FONE FOR WORK TOMORROW
ok so tried to swith network mode to gms only.. that did not resolve
put a vodafone sim in the note and the same error....

Do you have installed a third party contacts or dialer application?and a custom kernel ?.

No i dont. Like i said i flashed my rom to stock.
However internet works using my sim. Just no calls or sms

unfortunatly no.... nothing yet
was hoping that some guru here might be able to help out...
if i am not able to get help will send to samsung repairs....problem is i dont the receipt so have to pay.....and its not in my plans to get another fone :crying: trying to hold out for the note2

I faced similar problems couple of times. Antenna used to show full bar, but when I try to make a call it used to show 'No Network Signal ' error.
I tried removing the battery, sim, but nothing worked.
When I switched of the data network , I was able to make calls. This happened to me in on one of the earlier GB rom. Not able to reproduce the bug.

[Q] wifi problems with the note 3 please help

Hello people
Im having problems with my new galaxy note 3
I bought it online completely new (online store)
The problems i have now ... when im on wifi, it disconnects and eats my internet bundle i have from my provider..
and every time i need to fill in the password again when im at my perents house.
When im at my own house it just disconnects for no reason and goes on on my internet bundle, i have 1 gig internet bundle and the result of this **** is that within 6 days ive used 700 mb's ... still need to work my way through 23 resting days..
so the big question, what can i do with this problem.

First of all disable your mobile data from settings or notification panel.
I dont think there is any problem with your phone. Just check if your saving password for the wifi network.
For your home, some wifi networks require additional settings to work properly, that might solve your problem.

i disconnected the mobile settings so it only can do its thing by wifi...
i had an s1, s3, s4 and now this note 3, i never had any probs with the other phones.. did not change anything on my router or phone.. so i do think there;s something wrong with the wifi signal.....
my gf had a s4, and when we are in bed and both on wifi im getting troubles ... phone disconnects have 2 put on wifi again and she doesnt have probs.. so its really the phone which is giving probs...
from what i read online is that people have a lot simulair problems as i have but havent found a good solution for it..

[Q] network problem (very strange)

Hi guys, first of all i made searches and etc. and found nothing, this is very strange issue,
i have an s4 (I9500) and cell network is not working well. in E mode (i mean 2G) all internet voice and texts are working as should be.
in combined mode, if internet open then no network, or sometimes E with data but no 3G anyway. when internet disabled all is good.
in WCDMA mode, if internet is open, then nothing no internet, no voice no text. when internet disabled all is good again.
strange thing is i can use 3G very different way.
check 3G or combined mode first
make a call
after connected call open network data ( internet)
in a few seconds i have 3G internet. but if call ends no data again and after while no network either.
for troubleshooting in 3G mode before signal lost i see H or H+ sign on my phone but only up arrow shows no down arrow i think that mean 2 thing
1- i send a request to carrier but no returning
2- i cant send a request but phone try to send.
it was the same in 4.4.2 firmware, now i have 5.0.1
i try to patch modem with other firmwares modem files but i could find only 4.4.2 modem files. and tried all of them but no luck
so i want to use 3G mode, my phone has warranty but glass broken and in my country it is avoid warranty.
i have no box jtag or z3x box only have cwm mode and odin with usb. so is there any solution to my problem.
my phone info :
Android version: 5.0.1
Baseband version: I9500XXUHOD4
KERNEL VERSION: 3.4.5-4727708
Build number: LRX22C.I9500XXUHOD4
stock firmware with no patches just root.
my origin country where i bought phone is Turkey.
i will be greatfull if you guys could help me..

I already tried that too, factory reset, clean to install New rom, and no luck...
Looks like to me software problem too but i cant fix it.. Thats why i choose title as strange i dunno what to do now..

I think im having the exact same problem, it has been like this for the past 3 months. Unable to find any solution. Tried pretty much everything. The problem started 3 weeks after I installed cyanogenmod. Flashed back to stock rom but it didnt fix it.
Let me try to explain it:
I ONLY got internet + a normal cell signal when im on GSM mode.
As soon as I switch to WCDMA - WCDMA/GSM or LTE/WCDMA/GSM I dont have any internet or a cell signal, leaving me with the only option which is GSM, but that gives me Edge internet which is really slow.
The things I tried so far:
- Different ROMS
- Stock ROM
- Updated my APNs manually and automaticly
- New sim card
- Opened my S4 to check for any damage or water damage, everything looks fine!
I tried my SIM card in my friends phone, I got perfect 4g then.
Im starting to believe its a hardware problem

When turn of data in 4g or 3g Mode can you see signal? Can you make a call?

İf your answer no try this solution http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192025 ı suppose your Phone I9505 and we don't have same problems.
