lg g2 d802 on cm11 nightlies
have anyone experience problem to connect the phone to laptop via usb cable.
i already enable the debugging but my laptop still can connect to the phone.
please anyone share how to solve this problem because it is very annoying.

Try a different USB port or computer. Try disabling debugging and trying again. If neither of those work, manually install the USB drivers by getting them from the internet.

Hello,
I am not sure if this is a issue with CM or my phone. But recently when i have my phone connected through usb, and i try to enable usb tethering... The check mark does not appear but i can see the network adapter on my pc. It states a cable is unplugged. I have tried it with usb debugging on and off. The wifi tethering works without any problems. Just cannot seem to select the usb check box. I have tried different cables, and differnt usb ports and pcs but all with the same result.
Can anyone please advise?

I have that exact problem with latest CM11 on SGS4 International version.
I don't know since when this problem existed, however.

i have currently problem with my LG G2 D802 32GB.
Description:
- Android CM11 works (installed via TWRP)
- TWRP 2.6.3.3 works
- But now i am trying to flash stock firmware via downlaod mode (volume up then plug in usb cable). But there is some problem with download mode. Last what i can see is this screen: i1.ytimg.com/vi/kcFtnZZ7I1U/hqdefault.jpg
My PC don't recognize USB device i think (no USB sound in Windows, no new device in Device manager). Something is wrong. I tried to install USB drivers from tutorials to my PC (Win 8.1 64b or Win 7 64b), but no change. And cable is ok (have two USB cables). Maybe i have wrong drivers?
Could you advise me please?

Try plugging your phone to the back USB Ports on your computer.
sometimes does front ports are not capeble for diffrent actions.

I have only 2 notebooks. I tried several ports (usb 2.0 or 3.0) and nothing.
I think there is problem with some partititon in my G2. But what partition i should flash to repair my phone?
My accelerometer and compass doesn't work too in CM 10.2 stable. Maybe it has a connection...
Perhaps my port has gone bad. Nothing works, otg , computer connection through mtp. It will charge though, whether connected to computer usb or charger. Only reason I have even noticed this , is a want to flash original software from lg tool. Anyone got any ideas? Or do I need a new usb board? I'm on cloudy 2.0. Oh btw, I tried to mount from twrp and nothing happens. Says unable to mount otg device. I assume that rules out it being a rom problem? I've tried two different otg devices, and three different cables to my computer. I'm beginning to think it's hardware issue. But before I go through all that figured I would see if anyone else has any ideas?
I'm having this same problem. I first noticed it when I installed cloudy-g3 on my lg g2. The problem persists even when I switch to other roms I have installed with MultiROM. Without the ability to detect/access via usb/adb my phone is semi-bricked, without the ability to revert to stock via kdz because usb connection isn't detected.
I can't get my pc to recognize the USB as a port. I have installed the drivers for vzw and even the universal ones for any g2 all after done of installation I have restarted. After five restarts. Three different USB port entries and two USB android cables used I still get no port recogniztion. Please help me get back to stock on my vs980.

So, its already about months by now having problems with USB tethering/MTP mode. PC noticed like "USB device malfunction...."
I cannot conected my device to PC via MTP mode. I was tried to On/off debugging, on/off mtp-ptp (in CusRom), switch USB Cable, but all of that suggestions doesnt working.
There is no option but charging when i connected my R2P to PC via USB cable,but the strange that is "i can flash via fastboot, means that there is no issue bout cable/pc/or my device hardware right?"
Already tried many ways that available in this forum or outside (sorry cannot attach link, im too confuse lol) such 3rd party app, clean re flash STOCK ROM, and intsall/uninstall drivers on pc, but the problems cannot fixed.
please help me, im desperate and you know how useless smartphone if it cannot transfering media data from/to PC via MTP. I've attached screenshoot from setting>network>more>and there you can see that the usb thetering option are disabled (grayed out)
