Hey guys and gals,
Trying to figure out this issue on my phone and can't for the life of me so I was hoping someone could shed some light on this. My basic problem is that my apps seem to be hibernating prematurely, eg. my alarm clock(gentle alarm) doesn't go off in the morning because its disabled, HD widgets does not update time and weather like it should etc. The phone is rooted and I have greenify installed, tried unhibernating them in greenify and removing greenify altogether with no success. I was trying to think of anything that was installed recently that could be causing conflict but the only thing recently installed was adaware. Anyone have a similar issue or can recommend a fix? Not having an alarm clock is driving me nuts :crying:.
Thanks guys

I use Greenify also and have not experienced this problem. Are you using Titanium Backup (or similar app) to remove or freeze an app/process/function? If so, then that might be where your problem originates. It can be difficult to determine exactly what the consequences are of freezing some of those Samsung, com.xxx, etc. files.

Yes I have a bunch of stuff frozen but my problem didn't start until just a couple days ago..........Strange, guess I'll have to page through and see by process of elimination if I can get it to work. Thanks for the help :fingers-crossed:

It is always runs on startup with a lots of permissions, I have disabled it, seems has no effect yet.

I froze it and it seems to affect the stock Messaging app. I have owned alot of phones and never have seen this running in the background.
I may try loading a different sms app and then freeze again...
I hate these stupid services running in the background

Alright guys,
Essentially I'm having a little problem with my S Health App, I am on the rooted N9100f phone with the Echoe rom installed.
every so often my S Health app seems to reset my profile to a Jame Lee born 01 Jan 1970, 4' 11" and 110lbs. I feel sorry for the human if he does exist but I'm not sure why this is happening. Does anyone have any experience with fixing this or just it happening to them.
Also I don't seem to be about to restore to a backed up S Heath profile which is kind of weird.
Anyways Cheers in a advance
I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but you have multiple personality disorder, and are changing it yourself.
Sorry, no clue.
That's because you are James Lee.... you've always been James Lee <que dramatic music>

Same problem
Kofeye: My unrooted S5 did the same thing late yesterday after successfully tracking weight, steps, heart rate for several months.
S Health "James Lee" Problem
Some of you use xmodgames? I think this is the problem. I get the same problem, when i uninstall the app, I dont get any errors on S Health.

It's not xmodgames, as I don't have that installed on this phone and never did.
I have the exact same issue. I highly suspect it is one of the root apps messing with some background Samsung service which S Health requires to work properly. Will be watching this thread and trying to figure out what exactly causes this. I hope we get to the bottom of this soon.

I don't have my s5 active rooted or x mod games and see this James Lee issue now too on S Health. Could it be default values set by samsung dev when app is reset?
This happens when xposed framework is being installed cause it has issues with S-health secure server. It is a need of disabling s-health server security to make the phone work with xposed without issues. Everytime xposed get reinstalled the S-health app resets. You then got to install the backup from your S-health sync service and all is well. Rmember to sync just before updating or installing xposed (or Roms with xposed) to not loose data.
Wanam xposed kit has this option to deactivate secure server to make xposed framework function well with phones having S-health. Most custom rom implements xposed framework and then probably also need to disable secure server.
Edit. To be able to sync/backup S-health, aecure server must be disabled first by installing Wanam kit or other xposed apps with this option. Many custom roms also implements Wanam features.

Hello folks
I am new here, and I am having a serious issue with my brand new Nexus 6P.
In fact, authorizations concerning certain apps (mainly Whatsapp and Chronus) are getting automatically removed by the system even though I had previously authorized those apps to access my contacts or my calendar.
The outcome is really bothering, because as for whatsapp it doesn't matter whether I restore authorizations manually through apps settings, I still cannot see my contacts on whatsapp, with the result that I only see many phone numbers for each chat, and if I go to the contacts tab, it appears to be empty, so the app still is not granted to access my contacts.
The only way I found to solve this issue is by uninstalling and reinstalling whatsapp, but still this problem returns after less than 24 hours, and it's really bugging me because I can't keep on uninstalling and reinstalling whatsapp daily.
Also with chronus I am having similar issues concerning appointments display, sometimes the app widget randomly says that there aren't enough authorizations in order to display the appointments, while I previously set that.
What should I do? Any suggestion? Please help me as all this is really bothering in everyday usage.
Thank you
What apps do you have installed.
Specifically, apps that mess w the OS
Well... I am using Nova launcher, and I also installed an app to lock the phone from the screen itself (lock screen)... as for the rest, they're all quite ordinary apps, nothing that really messes with the OS, I am not rooted and the bootloader is locked
Maybe I missed it, but your giving them Permissions via Settings Apps? And its not sticking?

Exactly. Even if I already granted permissions, the grant doesn't stick and after a while the OS denies apps all by itself.
And as for what concerns whatsapp, even if I restore the authorization and grant it to access my contacts, I still cannot see my contacts displayed in the contacts tab, and if I go back to app permission settings, I still see that whatsapp figures as granted
uninstall those apps. restart your phone.
see if they stick.
if not, Id factory reset
Ok I'll try and keep you posted, thx
I have uninstalled nova launcher and there is no trouble so far, but I am wondering if trouble was caused by the lock screen app instead, I would really love to install nova launcher again b cause I am too used to its wide range of customization... Does anyone here use nova launcher without any trouble?

reinstall nova and see if you have the issues.
there's no other way to know.
So I am trying to remove Greenify because I'm starting to hate how it operates in the non-root mode. Problem is, on my V20, I can seem to deactivate it as a device admin. It crashes the settings app every time I try to do so.
I'm on the dual-SIM version, not sure if that matters. Anyone else that is facing such issues, or are able to replicate the crash, and eventually find a fix?
Thanks!!
Mod, please close the thread.
I figured it out eventually. Found an uninstall option within the Greenify app itself. Worked like a charm.
V20 US996 unlocked and rooted, otherwise stock.
Recently, I've noticed that if the screen turns itself off and then I unlock it, whatever app I had pulled up will be frozen. I have to go out of it and back in to use it again.
I do NOT have this issue if I manually turn the screen off (double-tapping or power button).
The only thing I've recently done is to try out a couple of apps that use the proximity sensor to turn off the screen, but I've uninstalled them.
Any idea how to fix this?
Thanks in advance.
Does anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks
Any remnants of those apps left behind?
Did they use "accessibility services" or any other special permissions? Did you "un-grant" those permissions before uninstalling?
...just thinking of any possible solution.
I remember that in uninstalling the apps, the phone required me to ungrant many of those permissions...I'm assuming all of the ones that I set (device administrator, etc).
Would it be beneficial to reinstall and then re-uninstall the apps? That seems like it wouldn't work. Not sure.
It wouldn't hurt anything, worth a try.
Do you have any "doze" type apps or mods (Greenify, forcedoze, etc.)? Could it be when you wake the device it's still in a lazy state?
Did you freeze any system apps with titanium backup that could cause the issue?
Will try, thanks!
