The easiest approach I have found to return to Pure stock without root would be to download the LG Tool and do an upgrade recovery in that tool.
Go here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2471370
That method will put you on the latest stock release, if you bootloop when it reboots you will need to use the key combination to force a factory reset after installing.

[Q] LG G2 D802 Unroot issue.

First of all hello and thank you for reading this, as a new user i wanted to say so.
My story is this.
I had LG G2 D802 bought in Israel for six month , after doing me some issues i decided to sell it.
did a full backup via lg pc suite , bought a new D802 fresh from the oven.
the phone came from the official seller here in Israel so there's no chance that he changed rom or rooted my phone.
so got the new phone , restored it via pc suite the regular way ... with curiosity putted the phone into download mode to check root status
and what i see ! the phone say its rooted !!! i surely didn't root the phone ?!
tried to burn the same Official rom and factory reset it and still rooted.
and issue how and why this happened ? i don't want to loose my warranty.
thank you very much.
@DaniMas there is an guide in general about flash back to stock tot and there was a way to remove the root temper flag I believed, check out that thread or google to remove root temper flag on the g2

[Q] NEED HELP! Soft-brick L7 P705

Hey guys ?
Can anyone help me with this?
My device, LG L7 P705 went bootloop/soft-brick after an accidental factory reset while running with cm-11 By Cyanhacker
The very reason is first, while i was using the custom rom, there was this "android has stopped working......" and so, when I proceeded to cwm recovery, I accidentally did a factory reset which I should have not done on cm roms. Since then, I couldn't even go to cwm recovery.
I have tried flashing stock rom V20B using the kdz updater and it said, it has successfully flashed the firmware I wanted but it stuck into boot animation.
Can anyone help me?
Thank you in advance guys!
Here's a screenshot during the flashing.

yes this work perfectly...but,but,but this rom is for P700,because there is no for P705..
after you flash this rom with kdz.
install CWM for P705 from IMERs CM11 thread, and flash custom rom for P705, because you will get battery drain from NFC.
I do same when buy this device trust me

Dude, I haven't tried yet the kdz file that you recommended. I just did the flashing through Lg Mobile Support Tool . And when I did it, this is what I got.
and everytime I press the buttons to proceed to recovery mode and hard reset, I get into emergency mode..
You got any idea how to unbrick this?

Hey dude. Just unbricked my L7.
I just did a hard reset and it was really a "hard reset" because it was so hard to do that.
Well, anyway, thanks for the help dude.
Now, my problem is its baseband. my phone has lost signal/network signal though it reads my sim card..
can you help?

Is root attainable on the D800's official lollipop update?

So, I'm currently running cloudyg2 2.2, and I'm thinking about downgrading back to stock and then taking the OTA to lollipop, but I haven't heard anyone mention if it is possible to retain root through the update process, or to obtain root afterwards. It'd be great if there was a flashable zip, but I don't know if that's possible at the moment.
You can get root again. Its a script in the development forum.
If you do this can you make a twrp backup of the stock lollipop rom and upload it? (since you'll essentially be pure stock anyway).
I'll buy you a beer

No, all on-device roots are patched with Lollipop (unless you have a custom recovery, which is unobtainable on stock lollipop for the d800 as far as I know)
Use the one that requires PC. If you run into issues, pm me or reply to me on this thread.

I'd assume you could just use a kdz to go back.
So.. no recovery as of yet on official Lollipop am I right?
Keeping that in mind, is it worth the update? Is it smoother/better?
I know this can be asked in any of the other threads, but I'm asking here with respect to its worth when compared to losing Custom Recovery.

No need to unroot - flashing KDZs and TOTs restore your device to 100% stock unrooted.

You can extract the .DLL from the KDZ with WindowsLGFirmwareExtract v1.2.7.0 you can find on XDA.
I assume I would just use ODIN for this?
Oh wait, this is for the 815, I have the 810.
I assume this is a no go then?
Was anyone able to inject root on this?
can you grab 11A from LG website? I tried and failed (For VK815). My VK815 was rooted started acting up and I did factory reset. Now i cant get past startup screen since setup.exe crashes. I tried downloading your KDZ and flashing but it wouldnt flash ( I am afraid since I was on 11A) if you dont mind can you see if you can download older kdz?
nevermind, i was able to flash this kdz with someones LG g2 back to stock guide perfectly fine, its on marshmallow now. Thank you so much
