Good to know. What about overclocking the CPU, GPU, and/or memory?

Like the htc one and gs4 is the lg g2 cross compatible between roms? Or which ever carrier brand you have is just strictly for that phone. I will be getting a tmobile lg g2 but worried as there is not much going on in the tmobile forums of the phone.
nope they are not

Hello,
Is AMALKG (D802) is the only model which didn't receive Android 4.4.2 Kitkat yet?
Because it seems that mine is the only device!
Regards,
Sprint's also on Jellybean. 4.2.2 at that!

I wouldn't say it's terrible, but I'm getting about 1/4 less that what I usually got on AOSP ROM's. Still lasts me well over a day though. I think this more to blame on Verizon if anything, considering AT&T and T-Mobile released KK weeks ago already.

All the D805's haven't got it
ANEUBK - Denmark, no update
I've been debating which phone to get and decided to get the G2. Was also thinking of S4. I would get a current flagship but they are all just too big. The G2 specs seem good with decent small overall size. I'm on straight talk via AT&T. I would like to load cyanogenmod on it. What model G2 would be best. The D800 or 802 or doesn't matter? Does either model have better Dev support?
Thanks

d802 has more support for roms. in stock.. but d800 has a patch that makes you run any non d800 rom on it..
so best bet its d802 just make sure dont get a refurbished with ls980 motherboard and imei and phone says d802. as it isnt it what the motherboard says . they sell d802 and come up as d800 too.
Thanks. What about the Korean version, good support? Would be nice to have SD card slot.

But the battery is 2600mAh so its sd card for battery... although you can get separate battery. Also the rom support for the korean is not as great as the EU (D802) version.

Only a few roms are available.
Thanks. Sounds like 802 is the way to go.

D800 should have the best band support for ATT. For example, it has the band 17 and band 2. I am on att network, and my phone spends a considerable amount of time on band 2, followed by 17. D800 is also cheaper, with ebay vendors offering it for $140 bucks..
Yeah just noticed d800 is a bit cheaper. I'm usually on band 4 on. Att do the 800 should be good with that right? Hmmmmm I guess if the 800 also has almost equal Dev support no reason to spend more on the 802?

Is this the best variant for the G6? I currently have an offer to trade my V20 for this straight up. Wondering if I should pull the trigger.
Thanks for any info.

Depends on your needing...
You need Quad DAC, Dual Sim and 64GB more than root? If yes that's the best for you, if you need root you have to buy the US997 (not the one from us cellular) or the European H870
On a sidenote, personally g6 is not the best phone, I would rather wait for v30 or switch to another android brand, I have been very dissatisfied with lg mobiles except for the lg g2 which was the best. Just personal thoughts.
I recently purchased an AT&T unlocked LG G6. Everywhere online, people say that all LG G6 carrier models have been updated to oreo. For some reason, it says that my software is up to date even though I'm still on Android 7.0. My software version is H87110p and my model number is LG-H871. Does anyone else have this problem? And why is it that I cant recieve the update?
Why did you buy an Lg phone!, you have just fell in their trap, because you'll never get the update!
LG only support few regions, and the rest are only to get money from!

Yes I understand that, but it seems that in America, At&T lg g6 has already got the update?
I'm on AT&T they claim my phone had a problem that's why it didn't update I think it's bull. I converted by using the H 873 (Canada) update from LG-firmware.com using LG-UP. My phone is now 8.0 boots saying LG g6 thin Q. instructions in the AT&T LG6 thread. My phone runs fine no issues.

Have you tried to connect your phone with LG Bridge via pc?
If exists an update for your model, you will find it there, even if it is not available OTA..give it a try!

LG Bridge never finds my version on ATT told it dont work with carrier phones. I had to convert to the H873 to get Oreo and I'm good now with the latest update
An active AT&T sim is required to update.
