Stuck in a very odd position after a reboot. It won't boot past the Samsung logo screen and requires the battery to be removed before I can try again. The charge cable shows a frozen battery icon for a few seconds (should be near full), then appears to go off again. I *CAN* get the phone to boot the standard recovery or download mode and was rooted - what is the best way to get it working again from here?

Tried without any luck. Factory reset also failed, I guess I have to try a full stock reflash from ODIN.

Why not try to go into recovery and do a factory reset.
Usually the above will fix the "stuck" on boot issues.
Good luck!

Ended up having to resort to ODIN 3.07 and flashing the entire firmware again from sammobile. Now there's the tediousness of reinstalling and setting up everything all over again, but at least it's not dead!:good:

Hello,
I wanted to update my Note to official german ICS (N7000XXLPY) using Odin. After going through th whole process:
extracting, wiping, putting in download mode, chosing N7000XXLPY in PDA and starting, it took some 5 to 8 minutes until odin finished with
"REMOVED!" and the phone restarted with new ICS boot animation.
Now it's stucked on SAMSUNG logo. I've tried to reboot a few times but nothing changes. ANy help would be apreciated.
Thanks,
BruXav
ps: the rookie I am forgot to enable debug mode before going through this :-(

Tried to flash 2.3.6 and it worked fine, then reflash with 4.0.3 but it did not work, still same problem, factory reset / wipe cache does not help
Go to cwm
Do full wipe
Wipe dalvik
Wipe cache
Reset
Should be fine

after flashing and ur still in bootloop, then go to Recovery Mode (the android with a red triangle), do a factory data reset. Then you're good to go.

Chainfires open gl drivers won't work on most 4.1+ devices. Also looking over the app description on the play store, the supported devices are all nvidia or exynos based devices. Our phones use a Qualcomm chipset. And the force 4x msaa function is built into the nexus 4. It's under developer options.

Take your battery out, then re-enter recovery, clear cache and reboot. If it doesn't work, simply reflash via Odin to correct it.

In future, read a lot more, or don't mess around with your device. The amount of people that go on about "puking, Sick etc" is unreal. If you don't know what you are doing. don't do it. It's that simple.
Good evening guys, i have my nexus 4 dead.....
I had a lollipop official factory image installed on my n4... After some week of usage (with 0 problems) I drained my battery to 0 and since then, i had the annoyng bootloop on lollipop dots on booting.
What i did:
Restored to factory and deleted cache using the recovery system, no results
Installed TWRP, cleaned the cache and all the other stuff, no results
Installed CWM, cleaned the cache and all the other stuff, no result
Installed a fresh and new factory image, no results, sometimes the device is stuck on the dots, somethimes download the app and it locks on "Android starting app"
Rooted, then installed cyanogen 12, same, sometimes the device is stuck on the blue cyanogen logo, somethimes download the app and it locks on "Android starting app"
So now, what i can try???
It can be an hardware problem?? But what kind of hw problems?
Thanks in advance for the possible solution,
Petar

Did you factory reseted the phone or you flashed a factory img?
If you did flash a factory img,try another one, maybe kitkat. If not, flash factory img and see it boots.

I will try this evening with the 4.4 but i'm very dubious on the results.... I will let you know
I just need to wipe the Cyanogen mod, then flash the factory over it, right?
Just reboot your phone in bootloader, connect it to pc and run the flash-all.bat and let it do its thing..
Flashed the 4.4.4 factory image ... Same issue, system won't boot.
It's locked on the annoying flying dots....
What can i try?????

Nobody has some kind of suggestion for my problem??
