Xposed can disable the clock in the stock launcher. No idea if it will work on the next launcher.
You should have mentioned that your request was for a third party launcher in your post title.

Well, welcome to the forum. If there is a standard Android menu setting to disable the notifications bar clock, I am unaware of it.
However there is an Xposed framework module called Wanam that will suppress the clock in the stock launcher. It may or may not work with your third party launcher. Gravity box is another one that may do what you want.
It would be in your best interests to also do a search and see if your question has already been asked and answered.
As to how this forum works? Pretty much like any other. A lot of people expect to be spoonfed. And there usually isn't any shortage of well intentioned members who will oblige. Don't assume that spoonfed answers are always correct though.
You will will get faster and typically better answers if you make an effort to search existing threads in the forum. Not to mention that some of the more knowledgeable experts respect that effort and are more likely to reply to informed follow up questions.

Lockscreen Wallpaper - non transparent

Hello,
I am currently using Tainted Vanilla. It has the stock lockscreen with a transparent background. How can I change it to a non-transparent background? Thanks.
I would suggest searching before you ask. There are threads about this already. It involves flashing new files and maybe some adb stuff if I remember correctly. Check the themes section or over in the hero cdma section if you're using a sprint based rom. A google search will more than likely turn up multiple threads on multiple forums.

You know, I did alot of searching on google and on this forum and cant find anything that is helpful. I am hoping someone knows how to change the nexus one lockscreen from transparent to non transparent.
I did find one zip with a lockscreen and a background but could not flash it. Anyone have the vanilla or nexusone lockscreen with a nontransparent background?

That one is the same one as the one he's using, it's just a patch to remove the HTC lockscreen. You can even see in the picture on the first post that it's transparent. It seems to work with EE with a background but its those stupid rendered grey blocks and you cant change them. DianeofArcadia found that picture in the system files but it cant seem to be modified to make it a different wallpaper. I asked the devs a few weeks ago and none of them seemed interested in helping figure it out and I dont know enough so if you find something let me know.
I flashed a hero theme over my aloysius rom that have the lockscreen a solid black background. I did read a site that has a method for making a background picture work. It pertains to the hero so I don't know if it would work for your vanilla rom. I just flashed a new rom so I don't have my bookmarks right now but I'll post a link tomorrow afternoon.
I figured google would turn up some results but maybe it's not as popular a topic as I thought. Sorry if I came off like a jerk
i'm also looking for this or a lockscreen that works with tainted that has the all the text removed. ex, carrier, clock, date.
Okay guys, this is what I found. Keep in mind that this is for the hero cdma so I have no idea if it will work for u guys, I haven't tried it myself, just sharing what I found.
Heres the link specifically for the wallpaper:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6221422&postcount=76
Here is the original thread, there are some neat things like removing text:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=665652
Once again, I don't know if this will work for you but it's all I could find. looks like quite an undertaking, if you guys get it to work let me know I haven't had time to play for a couple of weeks.
AFAIK, the Heroc fixes will not work on Eris roms. Don't ask me why, but that's from my experiences.
Thanks for the information rentjr, at least now some might have an understanding of why it is being so hard to change and maybe we can come up with something. ???
thread should be moved to Themes and Apps

yeah, i love the eclair lockscreen. back before root and these mods started coming out, I used lockbot pro to get the eclair lockscreen. lockbot pro will let you put a background though, as an alternative you could try that. I found it a little laggy for my taste but it might be good for others

[Q] About rooting and other stuff

I think I might've posted this in the wrong thread, so I just copied and pasted it on to here
*#Rooting
Sheesh , I was scared to ask these questions. *but I just wanted to know a few things about this rooting stuff. As far as ADB and SDK I think it is. I know theres a guide for dummies, but I just want a quick summary and then theres is this clockmod recovery and then that cynogen thing. Just wanted to know if I should put that on my phone. I mean I really just rooted my phone for the themes and tweaks and all of that. I've been going through threads where people post there screenshots of their themes and that pretty much inspired me to root my phone. *- Its my first post , take it easy on me. Haha, but I would really like to get involved with this forum community. I am a graphic designer and pretty good at it but not at the moment cause I don't have my photoshop. I used to do blackberry themes as well. I don't know if that means anything...*
This looks more like a story than a question... but its straight...
Your asking for a quick summary of adb/sdk... sdk is the component that lets you run adb commands so sort anwser without it your computer wouldn't know what adb was... adb is the terminal command so you can make changes to your phone from your computer (add/delete/reboot/install/blah)
clockwork is a version of a recovery image... its well known because he made an app to go along with it...
Cryogen is a rom developer with a ridiculous following... he blew up back in the day when google sent him a cease in desist for using google apps in his roms (now they are dl'd separate)
I think that answers your 4 questions well in quick summery at least :/
Yeah, I know it was kind of long. Haha, sorry but should I put clockwork on my phone? Maybe if I needed to go back to factory settings or something and what program should I get to change my theme? I got launcher pro but I want to change the battery meter and all of that.

Maybe this would work, you could goto apps and then scroll down on the categories. Click productivity and then click top free, scroll down a bit and it should be the 6th top free app. Thats a harder way though. Haha
Edit: You can also search up the developers name " Federico Carnales " without quotes.

there isn't section like that because we don't need them. in winmo section we mostly faced the screen resolution problem but in case of android you don't have to bother about that just go to android market and search among the hundred of thousands of apps available dude...
btw android market is much more mature than winmo market place.

Yes that's right...
I want to share one app with you which is not available in the market: swype.
http://beta.swype.com/
Works very well (although there is a small language bug after every reset, which causes you have to edit the preferred language every time).
Yes, I am testing a few days ago and it works great, apart from the error with each reset.
In addition you can write talking to the phone.
I also use a task manager, "ES task manager" with the widget on the screen can be configured to close all open plaicaciones every time you turn off the screen (thus reducing battery consumption).
Can be found in the market.
Sorry, I use google translate
tested theme http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=864931&page=2
for cm6 , don't working menu transormation
Ok but thereisnt a post to share app its a post for a question so..bad section..

[Q] Running specific activity from app?

Hey guys how are you all?? ... hope you are fine..
hey i need to know if is there any app which can launch others app's activities... i had recently installed CM9 on my defy+ and i found the lock screen options has a very amaizng cool option which can lunch any app from any of its activities.... so i can start for example facebook directly from my profile view activity... is there anyway to run such activities directly from a console.. comand line or any app which does the same out of CM9???
thnks it would be very cool :victory:
Questions go in the Q&A section
What do you mean by "console"? A Terminal?
Anyway, I have Apex launcher on my device and there it's possible to place shortcuts to specific activities on homescreen.
E.g. I have a shortcut pointing directly to the tethering settings activity.

Hm I don't think that this is possible (but you simply gonna try that)... for me it's more like a 'shortcut' to save you time that you normally spend tapping on your screen.

[Q] Settings Rooted Note 3

Hi, I recently rooted my Note 3. I used to have any iPhone 5 that I jailbreak that had a good app that could hide (minimise) certain settings in the settings menu that you don't need. Is there any app out there for this. I have searched google and the app store to no avail.
This would be really helpful if one exists and I would be very grateful if someone could let me know, I really want to hide easy mode etc...
Thanks
Regards
Will
Anyone got anything?
No one has anything?

I mean standard settings. For example hide Wi-Fi and flight mode and data usage etc.. Just to minimize stuff that takes up space.
Thanks

If you were a developper, maybe (I'm not too sure...) you should do some changes in the "sec.Settings.apk" and associates.
In fact, many custom Rom's have a "developper section ". But this is to ADD features, not to hide it...
AOSP/AOKP Rom's seem to bemore flexible about this. Get a look to that world. But, then, forgot TW world.
