hi all , i brought mu g2 yesterday its model is d802 with software version of d80220c-466-92 .....its all fine but the headsets when i enter them (the original quad beat 2 ) nothing happen at all but i hear alot of sound cracklind and hissing in the left headset .....i tried another type of headphones but the problem is the exact same ..........i checked for an upgrade to the system via OTA and via the lg suite from computer both says that i have the latest version ........what should i do ? and thx in advance
Maybe the port is dirty/dusty. Try blowing in it or use compressed air. If that doesn't help, use the warranty.
The problem gone when i tried to power it on with the headset plugged but after 10 mins or so it reappears .....i think its a software problem .....isnt it ?

Since imates support is terrible ill post my issue here to see how i should proceed.
I got my jasjar in a few days ago and its never worked right. The speakers and mics on the phone would cut in and out and sometime not work at all. Ive had to use a bluetooth headset (the wired headset port also works) mostly because I *need* a phone for work. I mate told me to flash the device with the recent firmware (also does anybody have a link to a one more recent than on imate site?) cause I might be missing files but that didnt help.
Is the phone just broken? In which case ill have to keep having to putup with imates crappy support to try and get an rma
Im still a little cheesed about the frequency difference for 3G in the us

I'm from Hyderabad, India and I too have purchased the LG Optimus 7 from Singapore (via a relative).
I have a cheapo bluetooth stereo headset, the Bluedio AV890.
While it worked perfectly fine with my older Nokia E51, the Optimus 7 does not recognize it. Will try another bluetooth device and tell you if it's a problem with the phone or the headset.
Hi, I have the following problem in my LG Optimus 7.
I have it connected with the A2DP supported bluetooth headset Plantronics Boyager Pro UC V2, and all the system sounds, including sms and email alerts go to the headset due to the A2DP support. With Ringtones it's fine. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks in advance.
hi,
I've just bought an optimus 7 as well (UK), and have the BLUETOOTH "perpetual searching" problem where it never finds any bluetooth device (despite me trying 3 bluetooth headsets which work just fine with every handset i've got from SE P900 through A HTC Touch Pro 2 - in fact all 3 show up when in pairing mode on the HTC screen while the LG just "searches")
I've called the UK LG support team who tell me this is NOT a hardware fault and they have MANY customers with the same problem - they say "its all microsoft's fault and are awaiting a software fix") .. they refuse to put this in writing !!!!!!!!!
Personally i think its a widespread LG design or manufactiuring/component fault as they have form for telling lies (either that or being systematically incompetant) to customers
I am about to write a formal letter to them asking them to confirm its a software issue and will be retified by a certain point in the future ... as a first step to dealing with the issue
I have had a pretty bad experience before with LG whereby for 6 months LG support were telling me the defective product would be rectified by a software update which never arrived - so we will see -

Hi!
I have the same problem!
me too.. bt not able to detect any device
the other issue i have with the optimus 7 is that the vibrate function doesnt work as well (yep i have switched it on in settings)
But it does work if i go in the the MFG engineers testing app and test the vibrate function there
... so it looks like maybe LG could be guilty here of sloppy firmware/testing .. and i wonder if its the same with the bluetooth like they say (maybe they used batches of different bluetooth chipsets which subsequent updates didnt suport)
LG .. LG .. LG .. ggrrrrrrr
same here
took the device to lg center.
because my device was bought in october it is not eligible for 1for1 exchange.
ppl at lg told me that we have to wait for microsoft update, although i really doubt that a new update will fix the bluetooth issue.
HW fault
I had the same problem right out of the box last November (no bt devices detected, only in very rare lucky cases).
Sent it in for repairs and since it came back some weeks later BT works so it seems like my device had a hw fault (or they updated some software, I dont know... but the case was opened)
had a letter back from LG (uk) stating that there was no defect (bluetooth)with the optimus 7 line ... the letter went on to say that the many reported user problems were due to different bluetooth chipsets used (kind of ridiculous lg opening the letter with the no defects line then ... LOL)
no explanation of why their support team were refusing to repair/replace and stating it was a software issue and to wait for an update and head office (per my letter) stating theres no issue - completely opposite
so now i have to write back asking lg how i get the phone fixed if their support team refuse to accept its a hardware issue
if only we had class actions in the uk ... LG need the mother of class actions right up their rectum !

I'm using Sony Ericsson MW600 for months now and always with me when I'm driving. Love the sound quality of listening to the music using this Hi-Fi Wireless headset.
After using it for a while I found the tricks to get it working properly.
i) whenever I did reset on my LG E900 (now NoDo, previous build also worked for me), I needed to do the pairing again.
ii) make sure you try several times (on and off for both LG E900 and MW600) until MW600 is found and displayed in LG E900. Once MW600 is found it will remain there until next LG E900 reset and you have to repeat all over again.
iii) take note that you can get connected to MW600 without it being displayed as bluetooth device in LG E900. But it will not be stable. The best is to have it displayed in LG E900. If not connected, it will show MW600 is disconnected.
iv) If MW600 is not displayed in LG E900, sometimes you can only listen to the music or only answering phone without the music as it goes to the speaker phone instead. Sometimes also the music quality will be really bad not like normal. Therefore to avoid all this, do the pairing until MW600 is displayed in LG E900. Again you need to do this once after LG E900 reset.
v) Once everything is working well, I can control volume, forward to next music or go back to previous music, off or on the music. Also, not all applications or games can use MW600. I can confirm Angry Bird can use it but SuperTube cannot.
vi) BTW, when playing music using Zune in LG E900, please go to Songs and select "shuffle all" or you can create your own playlist using your PC and transfer the playlist to LG E900.
Hope it will work for someone who wants to invest in MW600 but take note it is a bit pricy ... at least in my country.
BTW, MW 600 can work with iPhone 4, Nokia phone (Symbian), WM6.1 and of course WP7. I can also connect to my Notebook with Windows 7.
hi, as a follow up
its taken me 3 months to finally get LG to accept that this bluetooth issue is a fault and allow it to go in to their repair unit ...
just had it back today with an engineers report stating faulty motherboard replaced !!!!
LG in the UK are just aweful I.R.O. their warranty obligations ...
My advice (if youre UK) and they give you the runaround is to simply tell them you will be taking a small claims court action against them for the costs of the handset (or a replacement handset if you buy one and it costs more) plus your travel costs to/from court plus the court costs .. you can fill in the forms online and its only £20 or so
make sure you get things in writing/email/get names of LG staff and give them a couple of chances to remedy the situation and respond to your threat of court action.
Trading standards have received many complaints from LG customers along these lines so like i did make a formal complaint so its on file and at some point hopefully they will come down hard on LG
anyway I have touch wood a fully working phone now
Hi friends
GooDay to all...
Regarding the Bluetooth issue, I have tried every possible ways, finally when I called the LG, they simply says tht it is a HW fault and u have to replace frm where u have purchased...so I have to trvl all the way frm chennai to spore to settle the issue...
The 2nd worst part is...ZUNE....the marketplace is yet to be avlbl at India...sometime for a surprise the marketplace appears and with the same surprise it disappears... My friends I suggest u all to go for Andriod, Apple or Symbian phones than W7....
hi, I hv htc P3400i pda windows phone mobile phone, n now it is showing problem with loudspeaker, it gets automatically on whenever i make or receive any call , even if it shows loudspeaker off
that's the first time i've heard this problem....
what ROM are you using...and have you installed any external drivers or apps concerned with calling??
iam suffering with same problem if any one know how to manage speaker please tell to me also
[email protected]
Hi,
I connect my phone with two hands-free devices in my and my wifes car, but often it doesn't connect automatically. When I connect then the phone via BT-settings then it connect without problems.
Now I found out that - when I change the car just the first time I have to connect by hand, next time it works automatically. So it seems that the phone tries to connect automatically only with the last used device. A bit annoying.
So my questions:
Can anybody confirm this behavior ? It is normal ?
Is it LG specific problem, or maybe only my phone ?
Or is it a general Android problem?
Thanks for your answers - regards
Odiad

Hi and sorry if i do not found such a topic in some discussion. I tried to search but didn´t found it yet.
My problem is that i have a new Yotaphone 2 YD201 with latest update (as far as i know) 1.1.124 , which i got OTA.
And i´m not sure if this was happening also before the update, cause i didn´t tested it before with Android 4.4.
The problem:
If i set up a call or got a call and talking some times over my bluetooth headset, the colleagues asked me that i sound like under water.
Sometimes it happens within minutes, sometimes longer...
If i switch to the mobile phones microphone everything is working correct instantly.
I tried several bluetooth headsets, which are working well on other android phones.
Then I tried the soundrecorder SW which is on the device and found out, that the bluetooth sound isn´t recorded well, means it´s very dull and quiet.
If i put my voice directly to the mobiles microphone (although bluetooth headset is still connected), the recorded sound is louder but still far away from a good quality.
But it doesn´t change, if the bluetooth headset is switched off and the soundrecorder is used directly without bluetooth headset. Still very dull and quiet.
Can anybody please test this with his Yotaphone 2 YD201 to check if only my phone has a problem, although i do not believe that it is a HW topic.
Is there some known issue or bug regarding this topic and has somebody any idea how to overcome this problem, cause without using a bluetooth headset, the phone is unaúsable at all for me.
Thx and nice evening
Cheers
neo
Meanwhile i contacted the Yotaphone Support and there was a very fast answer.
Problem is known by Developers. They are working on a fix and keep me updated.
So, lets see if and what will ever happen...

Hi Neo,
I have the same probem with my Yotaphone 2.
I bought the new Bose QC30 Bluetooth, the sound is very bad for my contact.
I found something working : plug the headset Jack, and then test to phone by bluetooth.
if the jack is plugged when the bluetooth mode is selected (before or during the call), the microphone from the bluetooth is good.
if you unplug the jack during the call in bluetooth mode, the microphone is operating yet properly.
Why ???
same problem here
hi everyone,
is there any update on this issue? sadly cant use my headset anymore.
thx, luke
Isn't there a solution just above?!

Hi, thx for all the feedback- I also tried this CN Radio + the topic with the audio jack but none of them are real workarounds.
It seems that the CN -Radio brings some other issues for me, like unstable LTE connections + problems with SRVCC (switch from LTE to 3G/2G) in some handover situations. These problems were not available before.
So i installed the RU stock again and sorry to say it- sell the phone - It´s a nice phone and for people who do not need the bluetooth headset nearly the complete day- its a very good phone, with a great idea.
By the way- the support from Yota was quite good and they tried to help me as well as they confirmed the bug is known by the developer, but this help that much at the moment- so i´m back with my P9000 now...
Have fun with the mobile and appreciate the ideas of Yota devices...
Cheers

I seem to also have this issue on the EU version. Is it a matter of the antenna? I've ordered one of those cheap 3.5mm jack antennas to try out.
The odd thing is that bluetooth audio is fine with both speakers and a headset, from a variety of distances. I don't understand why the microphone is affected.

I would be interested in how you did that, my gf is getting upset as she can't use her bluetooth handfree set while driving... she has the yd206 model, build EU 1.1.124, i already thought of installing RU buil then ota update to 1.1.134, but i wonder if this would change anything.
Thanks.
any news?
YD206 model too
Hi, I have a YD206 model and same problem with the mic with bluetooth.
I am not sure if I had this problem with Kit Kat, but as I am using bluetooth in my car everyday for my job, I think that problem was from my recently Lollipop update.
bluetooth mic: any news?
Hello, I have the same issue with YD201. Phone calls over my car's integrated bluetooth sound fine to me but the people I speak with say I sound like I am in a pipe or underwater.
Has anyone found a fix?
Thank you!
YD201
Android version: 6.0.1
Baseband version: s01_003_4240_RU1_M05
I did a factory reset on my Android 6.0.1 and the problem seems to have gone away. I did try other radio firmwares before which was a wasted effort.
