Hey guys. My friend just got herself a new S5 on ntelos. It's on 4.4.2 and I've attached a picture with the build number because I'm not sure how the S5 is abbreviated compared to the S4. We're having a problem where the S4(Verizon) sends an emoji to the S5, but the S5 can't see it. Whereas the S5(ntelos) sends an emoji to the S4, and it's perfectly fine. However, when the S4 sends an emoji with a picture attatched (to ensure MMS conversion) the emoji works. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? I'm thinking along the lines of SMS->MMS conversion with emoji.
Thanks,
Alex

Can someone point me to a 4.2.2 inverted MMS system app with quick reply? I have searched high and low. I found one from another phone and everything worked except attaching pics. When I attached pics, it crashed. I'm on MF3 AT&T S4. Thanks in advance!
I don't know if it belongs here but the 'problem' concists on an Samsung Galaxy S4 i9505.
My wife and I both have a Galaxy S4 i9505. Since recently i discovered that with the update on whatsapp that I can activate the camera on the bottom of the screen next tot the little microphone. Instead of going to the upper right corner and choose the camera app. My wife an I both use Whatsapp2date and have the latest update for the i9505 installed.
However I have the camera function but she hasn't. She had it but it disappeared. And I can't seem to find the option to activate that. Or even find it. Is it just me or what? I would like to add a screenshot but not (yet) possible. srry

Update on whatsapp camera
Today at 17:00 made picture while using WatsApp camera on keyboard. after 3 hours the camera was gone. Done nothing strange or installed anything.
Another update,
I probably found a what seems to be an explanation. In version 2.11.148 the camera app exists. In version 2.11.150 it disappeared. Just need to find out if it excists in version 2.11.148. The only curious thing is that although I reversed whatsapp in my wife's phone, the camera app doesn't show up in her phone...

So lame
So lame the non existant reply from support from whatsapp
ok I know my problem is kinda weird since I've searched everywhere for a solution but couldn't find any thus far. (though my everywhere is limited to Xda and some other forums)
so my problem is that my note 3 kitkat 4.4.2 is able to display almost all emojis used and show their own Samsung made emoji..
however, every once in a while some of these are replaced by a Chinese character, this issue is visible in BBM broadcasts, Twitter and Path.
I've tried using snapchat, when I add a "story" I can view whatever I wrote in caption in the title, so when I use the emojis as a caption they always appear as Chinese Characters in the title
how do I get rid of this annoying problem?
hopefully someone has the same issue and solved it
I forgot to add that I bought the phone from Malaysia and it's N-9005
Hi all,
I currently have a Note 7, but I'm going to return it as per the recall. I would like to get an S7 Edge. Does anyone know if there is a feature called "Lasso" in the stock gallery app? It would be when you're editing a photo. I use it regularly.
On any photo click edit>adjustment. It should give you options. I will post a screenshot of my phone so you know what I am asking for. I'd normally check at the store myself, but I'm unsure if their phones are running the latest update.
Thanks
P.S. Can anyone post a screenshot of the same menu in the gallery??
There's no "lasso" option on my phone. I'm on the latest build G935TUVU4APIA
newb here. do anyone here experience this? =
when emojis from an iphone is sent through sms, then when i look at that in the stock sms app, it only shows what looks like chinese characters instead of emojis . (i'm using the h990ds variant)
I know I haven't tested the stock SMS much.. tried to use it when I first bought the phone.. didn't like the layout and style... so i'm on TEXTRA right now..
