The Galaxy note 3 (9005, Kitkat 4.4.2) camera doesn't work anymore, only a full black screen visible with none of the options are touchable and the phone freezes while only the home button works. I have tried the following, but didn't help:
Removing the battery for few minutes,
Deleting cache and data for the stock Camera app
Tried deleting the cache partition,
Tried turning it on in Safe Mode.
None of the above methods worked, does that mean I should go for the factory reset or any other recommendations?

Noticed my Verizon Note 3 running stock MJE wasn't autorotating back to portrait in Chrome, Google Maps, etc. The only temporary workaround is to press the home button but the issue returns if it switches to landscape. Only thing that properly restored autorotate is to reboot into recovery, wipe cache then boot into normal mode. Lost 1000+ hours of uptime from rebooting.

Rebooting once in a while is good for your device and it isn't uncommon to have to boot into recovery to clear dalvik and cache occasionally.
Hi,
I'm using SM-G900f with Fusion ROM.
I decided to reboot my device which normally worked without any problems. But this time it got stuck on black screen and I couldn't turn it on/off. I tried like 3 time and the same thing kept happening. Even when I just turn off the device it's still stuck on a black screen and doesn't turn off unless I remove the battery. I would really appreciate if anyone knows a solution for this or has information on what I'm dealing with. I tried wiping cache and dalvik cache but didn't help.
Thanks.
Got no answers here so I tested wiping cache/dalvik cache, system and install the same ROM on top with fusions TRWP.
I can now reboot to recovery atleast which lets me reboot/shutdown but I still can't reboot or shut it down normally.
hi guys i have an issue with my device (i9500) since i had a bad efs partition which i successfully restored from a backup.
The device works perfectly, but as soon as you lock it, and wait a few seconds, you can't unlock it anymore. Screen stays black, and the only way to get it started again is by removing the battery. Then it keeps on working perfectly, apps, games, everything is fine, as long as you don't lock it (by pressing powerbutton or auto lock)
Either then it crashes or restarts.
Things i've done already:
- Soft reset
- Hard reset + cache wiped
- tried many different roms
- fresh stock rom installed with Odin.
Problem still persists.
Disable lockscreen till you find another solution.
Hello,
I noticed within the last month that my S4 seems to lag when I go to unlock the phone.
I hit the power/home button and the screen doesn't turn on. If flashes on 10 seconds later then goes black again.
After a minute, the phone finally releases itself and then I can use it again, before...
It freezes when texting, instagraming, etc...
I have:
-Taken out the SD card
-Wiped Cache Partition
-Factory reset
The only time it doesn't freeze up is when it's in safe mode.
So I have 2 possible answers: Corrupted system file or corrupted app.
Anyone know how to go about isolating the problem? Or solutions similar to this in the past?
I would completely wipe the phone and reflash the software.

When it goes to the samsung screen, quickly hold either the top or bottom volume button and the home button until the screens goes into a blue screen that says recovery mode, and then flash stock firmware. If you have twrp installed, try wipe dalvik, cache and do a dirty wipe of the current rom you have. hmu if you need anymore help.
I have the same problem but it did not fix.
Also when i tried to charge it, the charge icon appeared, dissapeared and shut down with the same timing that logo Samsung appear and dissapear when i try to turn on. But after different tries the charge icon dissapeared replacing it with the Samsung logo, keeping the problem.

You can't flash stock firmware in recovery
Can you recover it with smart switch to stock? If not do it via odin
