Hi All
I've just (stupidly?) upgraded the firmware on my Galaxy Note 3 to the new 4.4.2. I use the built-in web browser and have discovered that despite being able to have a number of windows open simultaneously (I currently have nine according to the tab in the top right corner), I'm only able to preview a maximum of four and can no longer scroll through all the open pages and tap on the one I want to access. If I close a page, one that I already have open pops up at the bottom, and if I open a new page, the oldest one gets bumped from the list but seems to still be open.
I've been through the settings available and can't seem to find any options to change this. Has anyone experienced this and knows how to fix it? Otherwise I'm open to any suggestions
Thank you!

Hi guys,
I have updated my device to Gingerbread however the stock browser does not scroll all the way down. It seems to stop and then i can scroll and then stop again. Its really annoying but i cannot seem to find any setting for this. I have tried another browser and it does not do this anymore.
Also the stock browser doesnt seem to text wrap anymore.
Has anybody experienced this as well?
Anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this?
Thanks,
-c
It's a known Bug in Samsungs Gingerbread Roms
I'm running JVO, downloaded directly from Samsung servers.
I have a complex page with several panes and 20 pictures opened on the browser. If I swipe the finger slowly up, it scrolls almost to the end, if I do it faster, it scrolls to the bottom of the page.
To have the text wrap and fit the screen width you have to activate that option on settings, by default it's inactive.
Zooming on the browser also works fine, I don't see what other people are complaining about on other threads.
its not a bug, the stock browser dose it it self,on the gingerbread roms the stock browser is morelike a IOS its dos not scroll all the way down, it scrolls 2-3 pages at one time!!! search before u make a new thread!
and about the text wraping, look into you settings.

why would you want to scroll 2-3 pages ??
if it was a feature, there would be a setting to disable it...
I have JVO as well but mine doesnt browse smoothly across the whole page.
vcespon I don't understand why yours is not doing this as well
I have 2.3.3, i9000xxjvo
Same problem here pretty annoying!
Hi everyone,
i think thread title says it all...
I already hated this stupid mobile view of websites in my Android smartphone.
Now it sucks even more on my tablet. i want to see webpages in desktop view style. I have found no way to change that in the stock browser.
Only in the Dolphin HD browser I an choose wether I want mobile or desktop views of website. And it even works. But actually I would prefer the stock browser.
Thank you.

Try This:
1. Open the Android Honeycomb browser on your tablet.
2. In the address bar, type: about:debug and press enter (it will appear that nothing changed).
3. Now open the browser's settings by tapping the icon in the very top-right corner of your screen (it looks like four horizontal lines) and selecting "Settings" from the drop-down menu that appears.
4. On the left side of the screen, tap the section labeled "Debug."
5. On the right side of the screen, tap the item labeled "UAString," then select "Desktop."
6. Press the back button (in the very bottom-left corner of your screen) to exit the browser's settings.
7. In the browser's address bar, type: about:debug once more; this will disable debugging mode and return the browser to its normal state.
That should make it load the "desktop" versions of websites for you!
any chance of getting this change to stick? It seems that I have to change this every time I start the browser.

You change this once and then the change wil persist
only sticks until you reboot, kind of annoying wish someone could write a script or something to automate this.
Sorry but either will lose setting periodically for no apparent reason. Absolutely needs to be automated.
i would love this too..
Hiya everyone, hopefully this hasn't been asked yet. When I open a website that requires multiple inputs (either text or drop down menus) no matter the browser, i have to tap each field to fill them in. My retired Samsung Galaxy S 4g has a 'next' button feature which would advance the input to the next item, therefore avoiding the need to tap many times on the same site. Is there a way to make the N4 behave like that? Also how do i get the N4 to automaticall resize website to fill for width? thanks in advance
What you're looking for is the TAB key I assume. Unfortunately the stock android keyboard doesn't include one. Try a keyboard from the play store.
on our mobile site, m.123greetings.com , we have an ad at the bottom in floater position. After scrolling down, the bottom ads link stops working. again on scroll back to top of page , the bottom floaters ad link starts working. This happens only in the samsung s4 with the default browser, in all other devices and all other browsers it is working fine. please help urgently. cant imagine why this could be happening.

I see in the past the Merge Tabs option was tied to this (cant find it anymore) and that a home page option was also tied to it (unclear).
Has anyone found a way to get chrome to close as you closed the last open tab?
