Help to XDA Dev " task650 " whose FIVE YEARS OLD DAUGHTER WAS DIAGNOSED with CANCER

The reason of this post is to raise the awareness among the XDA users about the "task650" situation . I am asking YOU an XDA user or visitor to donate as much money as you can to the "task650. "
His baby girl is diagnosed with cancer and I want YOU to help her to fight this uneasy battle! The medical treatments for her sickness are very expensive and by donating even ONE dollar, YOU will help this five years old girl to win over the cancer! I am not writing this on behalf of "task650, " it is my personal initiative! Being as a member of XDA forums and Android community in general, I feel that it is my responsibility to help the people who are in need as never before.

I begged The_Scotsman for an Off-Topic subforum for the Epic but was told no other device has that and they were not going to start a precedent here. There is one general off-topic thread for Android and that's it. So we are stuck with off-topic posts in General. Shouldn't prevent people from helping out though.

It takes requests to head moderators to have a new forum made. There is a main off-topic forum here

But I don't think you will get the exposure this needs. It is more troublesome when 10 people make new threads on "How to stop OTA notifications" rather than threads like this but that doesn't seem to irritate the same people as a single thread like this does.
Thanks for informing us of this terrible situation. Hopefully XDA as a whole can have a bigger impact on this little girl and her family, than we will ever know!

Don't post them in the first place is the easy answer. Call me crazy but when I come to the Epic General section I expect to read about general epic topics not some vote for me threads, help me with my family issues I created, or donate to me, etc. All the nonsense just drives folks away.

No kidding! I understand getting frustrated by an off topic post from time to time, but when it is something like this, deal with it. XDA is supposed to be a community. I don't know about you, but in my "communities" we help others when we can. Like the Milkman said, the title was very clear. If the topic is of no interest to you, keep it moving.

I get where this guy comes from, he has a point. Then again, just like with EVERY other friggin post that the resident forum police go into to talk their crap... if you don't like it, don't fking click it! Don't read it! Most of all, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all!

How This Is Gonna Work

This is also an advice thread because at times, some of the confessions could be someone who really doesn't know what to do for the best. As we're a community, please help them out if you feel you can.
