[Q] Wifi Connectivity issues on Rooted NST running 1.21 - Nook Touch General

I just finished rooting my NST last night that is running on firmware 1.21 using NookManager 0.5.0. Afterwards I installed NTGAppsAttack 0.5.0 and was able to successfully install apps from the Market app. Everything seemed to be working great.
But when I woke up this morning, even though the NST appears to be connected to the Internet, it is no longer receiving any data. The "What to Read Next" section perpetually shows a spinning circle of dots and is unable to retrieve the suggestions, I can't access the Market any longer because it times out, and searching in the browser doesn't reach the web.
I tried turning of the device and turning it back on and turning off wifi and turning it back on, but it didn't solve the connectivity issues. Does anyone know of a solution for this problem?

Did you by any chance use NookManager to remove all the B&N stuff?

Alarm bug

I am a new user to android and I am not looking to root my phone.
I have a mt4g and I have this very annoying issue, the alarm will not turn off in the morning until I do a re-boot.
Anybody seen this or have a solution?
I resolved the initial issue when I installed ATK running auto kill every 1/2 hour in safe mode. (at TMO's suggestion)
This problem came back after I canceled my data plan and been leaving the wifi on overnight.
I searched this forum and could not find any threads on this so please excuse me if this has already been answered or discussed.
Any thoughts or feedback???
thanks
PS. to add more to this, I did do a factory reset to no avail. Tmo tells me that they also see this issue.
I am wondering if I have apps trying to use the data when I do not have a data plan anymore, thus tying up resources with retries and such.
send it back! or try factory restore...hold volume button down, while pwring on and follow prompts
Fixed it
So I downloaded Visionary and temp rooted the phone, then I purchased Titanium and froze several programs that were auto running, now everything is running smoothly and the alarm works perfect.

[Q]Network connectivity & Dexter's mod 1.41

Hello,
I would have posted this under the development posts but the forum won't allow me to...grrrr.
Anyway, I am using Dexter's mod 1.41 with the display settings fix also installed. Everything works great.
Except...I keep getting network errors whenever I try to download an app from the official marketplace, I also get them when sync'ing my dropbox, trying to download from the appoke apps store, signing into twitter, and a number of other apps. My browser works fine. Sometimes I can reboot and it starts working fine and then a few hours later I start getting the "network connection error has occurred" message from various apps again.
I did try reinstalling 1.41 & doing a complete wipe/restore after & still had the same problem eventually. It worked fine for awhile as I was able to go to the marketplace and download all of my apps again.
Anyway any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
i might ask if your network problems occur after the tablet was recently asleep. it seems, at least latest stock, that the power profile is set to sleep wifi/network connections when the display is off.
you might want to wait 5-10 seconds after waking up, or i suggest putting the power control widget on your homescreen and tapping the wifi button twice to re establish your network connection if you're getting network errors.
worked for me when i had download/network errors.

Yeah Forgot to mention that, but no its random when it starts happening. But definitely not just when it has been just woken up.
Nevertheless I am going to try what you suggested. I couldn't at the time when I wrote the post as it wasn't working. I turned it off and removed the SD Card, mounted it over on my PC, then copied your recent ROM update as well as Elocity's most recent firmware update, put the SD card back in, tried to reboot into recovery mode but for some reason it went into a normal boot. When I unlocked it, for some reason was asking me to sign into Google just as if I has flashed it but I definitely didnt. I've done that a bunch of time, this was definitely a normal reboot with dexter's 1.41 mod still installed. I canceled out of the google login after waiting 10 min for it to connect to Google's servers. (it was connected to my wifi network or at least I had the icon with the bars indicating I was connected to wifi) When I got to the main screen it started working normally. I went onto the market and downloaded Angry Birds Rio. Plus there were a bunch of updates for my other apps. So it is almost acting like I was not previously signed in with my google account, except that I did not relogin since I canceled it before finishing. Also I dont imagine that Dropbox would have been affected as it has its own login. But that is working fine too once I re-logged in.
It does seem to be intermittent. If it were the "not connecting after coming out of sleep mode" issue wouldnt rebooting fix that when it happens? I try that everytime I get the network errors and it works maybe 25% of the time.
Thanks for the response!
Did the 1.41 install and three patches also. Display still FC all the time. other then that works OK!.

Issue with [ROM][JB][AOSP] Lenovo Ideapad K1

Just a head's up...
I installed this ROM 2 days ago and it was working brilliantly until last night. My K1 powered down (assuming battery died...) and when I was finally able to get it to boot up no applications would work:
Upon booting I received messages that App Store is no longer working, Swype Beta is no longer working.
I attempted to open Scramble (Zynga game) and it force closed.
I attempted to open Facebook, and while it remained open, it would not connect, despite a good WiFi connection
I did a factory reset and got a notice that root may have been lost, so I elected to repair.
At the point where I tried to connect to WiFi as the first step in setup, the system apps started crashing.
I'm re-flashing now to see if that does any good, but wanted to make a note somewhere that this ROM may not be as stable.
Unfortunately, I can't post this reply to the DEV forums because I'm a noob.

[Q] Wi-fi connectivity issues

After a recent snafu in trying to remove root from my Nexus 7 tablet and installing the 4.3 update I think there are issues with with it's ability to keep a constant wireless connection, Juice Defender be damned as way before root and even during root I was able to maintain a flawless connection although I think the issue may have arisen during my installation of a cracked google play store app.
This was a couple months ago though.
However I decided rooting wasn't worth it and wanted to update to the new 4.3, this is where the snafu occurs, unrooting wasn't a problem at all, nor was flashing stock recovery, but the process of installing 4.3 was since even performing the update in my settings wasn't working, it would download and my tablet would restart and try to apply the update but soon after it would error out and I had to perform a hard shut down.
After that it would boot like normal and there were no issues, other than the update failing to apply.
So I decided to try and apply the update manually and as it turns out, I was attempting to install the update for the mobile version of the tablet instead of the wi-fi only one that I have so it didn't install correctly and simply erased all data on my tablet except luckily for the devices fastboot mode.
Seeing that I installed the correct 4.3 factory image and this is where the wi-fi issues come into play (I wanted to explain in as much detail as I could that might shed light on my current wi-fi situation).
The tablet booted up seemingly normally, taking a bit longer than it should have to me and upon getting to the glowing X before the main screen it suddenly reset it's self and then booted up correctly; so I finished the set up process after linking my wi-fi up but while going through each app that uses wi-fi I started off with games like Happy Street and The Sims Freeplay which worked normally.
Then I got go my Bank of America app and it's the one app (besides the Play Store on occasion), that didn't work at all, instead it just timed out, there's a screenshot so you can verify for yourselves.
You can clearly see I do have an established connection but this is the only app that fails to work after the update, again besides the Play Store but I've removed root and the crack is no longer installed, not that it would work anyway without root access but it doesn't concern me as much since it'll connect after force closing the app and starting it again.
So that's my issue in detail, is there something that I messed up that's preventing the device from maintaining a connection? Or do I simply need to re-install the factory image to restore connections?
Hmm...I've been having some trouble with WiFi as well.
I was running CM10 and then installed the 4.3 factory image over that. That's where the problem started. Since then I've tried the 4.2 factory image, Ubuntu Touch, and I'm now back on CM10, but the issue remains that my WiFi seems to stop working even though the icon in the notification bar says that it's connected.

Well the weird thing is, is that every other app seems to work but that one where it just times out, I'm going to try just re-installing the update and see if that helps things.
Edit: After backing everything up I decided to re-install the 4.3 update and after downloading the Bank of America app it started up instantly, froze for a moment and allowed me to sign in.
I closed out of the app and tried again to check and after 3 attempts to sign in it worked each time, I think the re-installation did the trick.

[SOLVED] Play Store issue

Hey,
Installed the stable Pie update and since then, I am unable to properly install/update apps in Play Store. Stuck on 'Downloading...' for long time.
I just left the phone at it and got busy with work. About an hour later, I could see that it had downloaded 8.64MB of the 8.66MB app update. Checked half an hour later and the installation was completed.
Internet works fine. I am able to browse, sync emails, Whatsapp, etc. Everything works fine. 100Mbps line here.
Any idea how to fix this? Was working just fine on Oreo.
OP5, bootloader unlocked, unrooted, stock OS.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!
Edit: toggling Battery Saving mode on and off seems to have solved the issue for now. Will update if it returns.
