Anyone knows what it means to have a red light come up instead of the orange charging led????
Also, my hpone is not even turning on
i **think** that means your battery is totally dead. Plug it in and wait a while, it should eventually turn amber and the device shoud then be able to power on.
You have to use the mains charger and not the usb charger (usb has lower amperage) and as previous post said leave it for a while till the charging light comes on.
thx guys
thx for such quick responses
I'll try, if no, I'll buy a new battery, I guess I'll have to
thx again
Hello
as we know, we cannot charge our Transformer using USB.
Thats a pitty as I bought a Solat Charger (expensive one) which can charge USB-Devices.
Now does anyone know how we can fix this? I thought about buying a second cable and changing some connectors? Power is power, it has to work somehow...
any ideas?
thanks
Dominik

You've got to somehow mod it to give us 15v, buy a usb 3.0 female and change some pin layouts.

It depends how fast you want to charge. I plugged the ASUS cable into an apple charger last night. I then connected it to the tablet and shut the tablet down. When I started charging the tablet was at 72%, when I got up 7.5 hours later, it was up to 93%. So it wouldn't be enough to charge it from nearly empty, but it might be enough to top up the charge after using the tab for a couple of hours. This is with the ASUS cable and no modification to the charger at all.
According to the Tip sheet that came with my TF, USB on a computer can charge it, but only when the TF is in sleep mode (screen off) or powered off.
Have you tried the solat charger to see if it does indeed charge the TF when the screen is off?
Most solat chargers have a 12v plug to power car cigarette jack devices. Connect this to a female usb plug and you can charge your tranformer and dock.
Search for the Charging thread started by Devcake. There is an extensive discussion on the charging requirements of the TF and charging options. Also the pinout and function for the connector. It is NOT true USB 3.0. It just happens to use that connector and some of the conductors.
Hi,
So I bought the Samsung Wireless charger stand (say fast charging) http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product...ging-stand-black-ep-ng930bbugca/10418050.aspx because it was on promo. I try with 2 device, and it never say Wireless Fast Charging.
If i just use the USB cable and plug to my phone, it say fast charging.
I already replace 1 in store, so i though it was the wireless charger the issue, but the second one, does the same.
Also the time remaining stay the same if I use the USB cable or the Wireless charger.
So my question is, am I suppose to see Wireless Fast charging ?
It is setup to ON in the Battery setting.
I try both S6 and S7 Edge.
Thanks!
yeah I was at a best buy yesterday and saw it for the first time. When I tried it out it also did not fast charge. My fast charger at home though needs the phone to be placed in a certain position for it to catch for fast charging. Its a little cumber sum but I got it down pat right now
U may have to manually turn it on. Mine turned on on its own. U can toggle on/off in battery section same place as the regular fast charge option. Either that or that wireless charger was not really "fast".
Mine does that on occasion and I have to lift the phone up and place it on the pad again in a slightly different position and then it says fast charging wirelessly. Be sure you have a quick charge power cord plugged into the pad

Hello Experts!
I left my S8 (SM-G950F) overnight for charging, I checked the phone at 5am it was fine when I switched off the Alarm clock and left it again for charging, but when i wake-up it was off and not turning on, i have tried safe mode restart by pressing the volume down + power key for up-to 40 seconds also tried to start into boot / recovery mode by pressing vol up+power+bexby button but it seems nothing happening?
Now when I plug it back to charge nothing on screen, no charging light or any other sign but i feel that the area above the back camera is getting warmer after a while but yet its not powering up when i try to.
I have the Original wall charger and cable, though i have tried another wall charged and another cable and tried to plugged it in the charger for around 10 to 15 mins but yet the same with no luck.
Any help in this regards will be highly appreciated.
Thanks a million in advance.
Regards.

Thank you for your input, I will look for the wireless charger and will try to charge using wireless charger, But yet i have a question, for wireless charger, do I just need to put the phone over the wireless charger and the charging will start itself or do i need to do any other steps when I place it above the wireless charger?
Also, you said to use Wired and Wireless charger both, i have tried two wall chargers with two cables with no luck, so is there anyway i can try with the wall charger for specific time or what??
Also, I just noticed the charger pin which goes into the charging base are the same from both the sides, so is that okay if I plug it upside down as the cable can be plugged from both the sides without any issue, so is that fine or do i have to put the logo side up towards the screen side? and what if thats not the same, do you think plugging it upside down may cause any issue can do any damages to the phone?
Many thanks again for your time and suggestions.
Regards.

L thCable direction does not matter type c is universal wireless starts automatically. What I have seen work in the past is place it on the wireless charger then plug in usb and leave both plugged together.
You might also try holding the download mode button combo for upto 30 sec maybe it is frozen
volume down power and bixby.
Sometimes Samsung's freeze and need a battery disconnect. Obviously we can't just do that on these.
My kids tab Es do it all the time. Have to separate the screens. So I can disconnect the batteries
I have a Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) (J320F/DS) and the charging port is damaged and I can't charge it. I want to turn it on using a power supply connected to the battery pins but it doesn't work. It turns on for 2-3 seconds on the samsung galaxy screen then it turns off I tried adding a 2k resistor to the thermistor pins but nothing changed. I'm applying 3.6V to the phone from a power supply. I'm not going to replace the charging port or buy a new battery because I only need it for data recovery so how can I turn it on?

Remove the battery from the phone and try connecting the power supply directly to the battery pins.
