Anyone has experienced a random bug happening on MIUI ROM for HD2?
Sometimes on receiving SMS the launcher crashes (showing the MIUI blue animation) and after that no longer SMS can be received without formatting
all. Any idea on how to solve this without formatting? I'm really annoyed
of this.

Are you using any 3rd party sms apps? And are you using langthangs NDT MIUI ROM? If so on the first page of his thread it clearly says to enable any 3rd party sms app in superuser, or you will experience reboots.

HD2 MIUI gingerbread 2.3.7 Version 1.10.21 SD/MAG Kernel: 3dak_R3.6-BFQ (Languages:MultiLang18)
with stock sms app. after a system crash the sms system corrupts someway and anytime an sms is received the phone crashes.
the only thing i could test is that it's not smsmms.db corruption because cleaning it doesn't remove the problem.
the problem seems related to something corrupted into the data.img
file
replacing system.ext2 / initrd.gz / rootfs.img do not help. do you have any ideas?
if i were you id do a full task 29, reinstall magldr and clk. and reinstall the rom. you should be fine than, and if not its a bug in the rom. good luck!
I have the most up to date version of miui if you are interested.

I have same problem with SMS with any NDT MIUI ROM.
Trying everything, include stock ROM install (except HSPL).
With any other ROM (non-miui) this bug is absent.
But I really love MIUI. It's very user-fiendly system!
And it seems to not all SMS cause reboot, my bank sends me SMS from short number - 100% reboot.
Regular SMS from friends and operator don't reboots HD2-MIUI.

My rom doesn't have SMS problem since its completely stock.

I use a stock rom plus my add-ons and I don't have any problem.BTW I'm using miui.us as my stock rom then I implent the blurry mms fix for timous. No problem at all

I've reflash my hd2 with rom buy kylew1212.
Really no prob with SMS, but it's not multilanguage. Thanks God, that i can read english. Titanium backup restores all my data and apps perfect.

I have the same problem, and I turn the super use off and it solve the rebooting.... I don´t know how to permit sms on superuse, because it doesn´t show up. I use NDT rom and the stock sms app
You can turn on your superuser. After rebooting upon receiving sms you should go to superuser and check the log. Usually the last app showing up in the log causes the reboot. Then you switch to program tab in super user,find that app(the last one from the log) and on sms permissions most probably it shows up 'ask'. You should change it either to allow or deny. And that's it. After installing some more apps it can happen again on some other app. Then you repeat the procedure and find out which of the new apps caused crash and set sms permissions for that app as well...

But im not sure, if 3G works on this rom, it didnt on FrozenPika10_v1.6.0
Any ideas how to fix it?
i works all days to fix that bug, i dont know if with rom i fix that bug because 3g always works for me
I dont understand, why peaople are ignoring this 3g problem with cm10, it shouldnt egzist at all.

3rd party camera apps' and barcode scanners' preview does not work. It's the same as with all other CM10 roms.
This rom seems to me the draft of the pika,
you're not doing anything new and useful ....
if pika copy the rom from shendu i dont know, but this rom is based on shendu rom 4.1.2, pika's rom is based on ivan's rom, my rom is more stable than pika's one
Hi Mauro,
yesterday I tried this rom, but unluckily browser (I used stock and Dolphin) were closing unexpectly. For example they were able to show Facebook login page, but once logged in Facebook they simply closed themself, bringing me to launcher home.
It's strange that the behaviour was same on both browsers.
Could it be something related to memory managment?

you wrote "if facebook app not work delete this file from system/lib", for this I thought that issue was related to the facebook app, not to facebook website, And so I didn't try that fix.
But random browser closures (I repeat, not only the stock one, but also Dolphin) are present not only to facebook site, but also to other sites. For example I was trying to download another rom (pika10), and also in that site browsers were closing unexpectedly.
Have you no random browser closures?

thanks, tried it, but issue persists.
Root explorer, or Root browser lite can't access /system in rw, so to install custom ringtones/notifications I had to use adb shell...
Someone that installed this rom could confirm that root is enabled?

Today i installed the latest version of Facebook 3.9 app from the Play Store.
But when i open the app my screen starts Flickering...when i touch the screen flickering stops for sometime..but starts flickering again. I am unable to.use the app due to the problem.
I tried installing the older version of facebook app but all went in Vain..as the same problem persists..
Please give a solution to.my problem...
please state which rom/kernel you are using so other users who use that rom can test to see if it is a rom problem or just a problem with your phone
is it just that app or does it happen on other apps?
are you using anything like chainfire3d? or replaced any egl files?
you could always flash stock rom via odin and then test the app then you would know if it was a rom bug or problem with app

you can try two things
1 - replace the egl libs with stock libs
I have attached a flashable zip with the libs
go into cwm
make a nandroid backup in case you need to restore if anything goes wrong
once backup has been made
mount system data and cache
flash the zip
restart
2- flash stock rom via odin and test the app
if it still does it after doing both these things there is a problem with your phone as I have tested the facebook app from the playstore and it works fine all be it a bit sluggish but with no graphical problems

Guess it's either egl files or Jarvis Kernel but since you haven't used chainfire it's the kernel i guess..... I'm using EvoX 4 from the date it was released noooo problem at all. It's stable like stock. Change kernel... I'm using Hells Fusion... Try it

Folks, i dont know if this is a bug or what, but about 10 minutes ago i received the follow message that i took a print to post here...
I'm using Brazilian Portuguese as system language and to whom can't figure what is written, it is the OTA update to Lollipop that i would recieve if i were using the stock image from Google at my Nexus 4...
So, what's the deal? This is a bug from Google, pushing me this OTA thinking i'm still using the stock, it's a bug from PA 4.6 BETA 6, or what? And besides that, i should just ignore the message, hit the buttom to update later or the one to install now? BTW i just installed PA today cause i messed with the system using TB... So it's almost like "new" , just with some apps installed ( Quickpic, TB, Greenify, Opera and a few others ) but no other deep modification... Oh, im using Pico PA Gapps ...

yeah, I thought so... wasn't sure, but I had 99% certain... It's really annoying cause the notification cannot be dismissed and every time after I turn the phone on the notification pops up... But I never considered ditch PA for stock 5.0: hell of bugs, no silent mode, no manual syncing, bugged drawer, battery time sometimes better than KK, sometimes way worse, etc... Hope when PA hits 5.0 it will have just the good implementations and none of those downfalls =)

Dude abhishek your phone looks so much different than the stock nexus 4. like your notification bar toggles, clear all button, everything.
Could you so kind so as to help me out with the stuff you installed to get all that?

Nobody can really help you if you do not provide a logcat.
We can spend days tumbling over the probable causes of your problem.
