handcent sms missing on market?

I can see the font packs, not the app. What's going on? Have just restored latest ROM to my phone, is this related?

Yep. Dl'ed AppBrain last night and couldn't work out was going on as this was the first app I tried to install. Thought something was wrong with AppBrain... Only when I was sober, was I able to figure it out
Why has it been pulled?

I can see it on the market, running DeFrost ROM.
There was an Update today maybe thats why it wasn't visible

I am experiencing the same thing and I am kinda peeved! Using sms popup for now.
Im using an unlocked Desire Asian version and was wondering why I am still not getting any OTA updates. Are these problems connected in any way?
Also tried installing handcent sms from my sd card and it didn't work.

Handcent was missing yesterday too. Just falshed new ROM and now stuck with Chomp.

anyone got a recent APK? I got one of rapidshare but it seems a bit buggy, would really appreciate latest version.

it's just a google-failure. give them some time to fix it

Sense ROMs and MMS

Hey guys,
I have been trying out some different ROMs trying to pick out a daily and I have ran into a very annoying problem. When I download a sense ROM I cannot send MMS through Handcent or ChompSMS. However, the stock messaging app works like a charm when sending them. The only problem is that I hate the stock messaging app.
I always wipe and don't flash any other zips before I try sending the MMS and it still doesn't work. The weird thing is that I can use Handcent and ChompSMS on the CM6 ROM.
I've tried the APN method and factory data resets. Nothing.
Here's the sense ROMs I have tried with no luck:
-Myn's RLS2 and 3
-Nil's business sense
-Virtuous v3.1.0
Any suggestions???

Ok, so I actually unrooted my phone to try and fix this problem. I did these steps in order.
-Unrooted
-Synced my gmail account
-Went into the market and downloaded Gallery 3D and ChompSMS
-Opened Gallery3D and tried to send a picture, no luck
-Installed HandcentSMS and tried to send a picture, no luck
I didn't try anything fancy, no unnecessary downloads and didn't flash ANYTHING.. Something has to be wrong here, since the stock messaging app works.
This has been all kinds of frustrating..

It may be the kernel that cm uses. Not that knowledgable about kernels but I know that a lot of roms come pre stocked with a certain one.

I've experimented with different kernels for Sense and still no luck..
I still don't understand how when I unrooted my phone and EVERYTHING was stock, I still couldn't send MMS through Handcent or Chomp... So confusing.

Just downloaded handcent and it worked fine. Running skyraider 3.3 s-off. Nothing other than setcpu and minor tweak.

VIBER android application

Hello everyone,
I've been trying to get my U8800 working with this application: Viber Android Market Free
Making a call/Receiving a call, on the other side (other phone) they can't hear me. I guess it's my device that's not supported.
Does anyone here got this application working? It is very handy..

Which rom are you using? MIUI and CM7 have broken Voice recordding so this app will not work with either or these roms. There is possibly the same problem with Oxygen (Fairly sure it's not though). It will work with Void or any stock rom.

I am using void #eridanus and it's not working.. :S

I called an iPhone user with viber it works on the stock B137 ROM.

What is causing my problem is the modded ROM. Since it's not the original, something triggers and Viber doesn't work. Which is very odd. :S

I should inform you that void #eridanus does not have such an issue. I was using it on #eridanus without any errors. So I think your conclusion about Viber is not working because of void ROM is wrong.
Probably something had got corrupted and you needed to clear data or something.

Well, if it worked with you then I apologize for my precipitated conclusion.
Will try again and see if it works.
EDIT: With the new version, it still doesn't work. Well..I'm unlucky.

Started using Miui, and tried the Viber app once again. Surprisingly, it doesn't work either.

Maybe you can use the Viber-protocol with another client?

I'm using miui (latest) and viber without a problem, never heard a problem other than you. Did make titanium backup/restore or install it from market? Did you make a clean install of miui or upgrade a from an early release?

I'm using viber since my htc wildfire days, and using it on ideos x5 on stock rom and the latest MIUI posted @ dev section and it works fine. It seems to "lock up" from time to time, but it's random.
Overall, it works good

I made a clean "install", made all wipes and factory reset.
I installed Viber from market, clean install too (no restores or anything like that).
This is really annoying, i would like to use this useful app with friends.

[Q] Random crashes of applications

Hello everybody,
bought an HTC HD2 phone a week ago and tried to install many ROM in it.
Finally yesterday i was able to install a MIUI rom, here it is my details:
Android version: 2.3.7
Kernel version: 2.6.32.15_tytung_r14_callrec_g42b00bc
[email protected] #133
Everything's find, it is reallly fast but sometimes when i'm on some app it crashes and give me a force close signal.
I just downloaded a few apps in it, just Facebook and Whatsapp. They both crashes after a while giving me force close..
I'd like to solve this problem with your help since this ROM is really fast (i also tried http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1434860 but it gave me the same error - force closes).

Forgot to mention that i also have Google apps(Playstore,gTalk and gMail) they crashes too.
P.S. Tried to edit the initial post but once i click on SAVE edit it doesn works.

Huh, for me it could be wrong partition size before flashing (you mentioned you've tried many ROMs, are you sure you changed settings correctly?) which affects system to close every app because it has no memory to handle it.
Just my opinion, give a feedback about settings, if you set it good, it can be something else.

Double SMS messages arrive

Does anyone know how to fix this weird issue that I have? Every time that I get the same SMS message twice. I have J500h and this happened on every rom that I installed.

Very unknown problem . I am also a j500H user but i faced this problem NEVER ! maybe you did something wrong

Probably something to do with the gapps version you are installing.
By any chance does your phone have 2 messaging apps?
If yes than that is the issue you're flashing a version of gapps which has Google messaging included even tho the ROMs have the stock android messaging app thus your device thinks you are receiving 2 messages

I guess that is true I flashed Odyssey now I don't have that problem. Previously I had rr and bootlegers rom have with pico open GApps
