Turns out my phone was not stuck but it took 30 minutes to turn on. Why might this be?
My r800a is stuck turning on. It gets past the Sony Ericsson logo but then gets stuck at the rogers logo. Its been like this for 15 minutes. I pulled the battery and tried it but the same problem keeps happening.
My phone is rooted and is on Android 2.3.2
Rogers rapes the firmware?
Seriously, When mine had the rogers firmware it took foreeeeever to turn on. Not 30 minutes, but it did approach 10 minutes once.
Other than that I dunno man, is it consistent?
Verizon's version loads up very quickly ...30 minutes is crazy!
Well when I first got it it was 4-5 minutes. Right now it takes 30 minutes I've tried it 2 times and both were a bit above 30 minutes.
I actually just noticed something strange. When I am using a Live wallpaper it takes forever but when I am using a standard wallpaper its around 4 minutes.
I guess now I know to change my wallpaper before shutting down. Since I found a temporary solution it won't be that bad but I still want to know why this is happening. I may try a reset in a few days.
That's why I flashed uk generic... 25seconds on a turn on. If I installed a lot of Apps before the reboot, it takes 60seconds. Rogers was 3 minutes + everytime

So it seems that my phone might be reaching the end of line. Whenever the phone starts to get warm it starts boot looping.
A Few Examples:
Talk on the phone for 10-15 minutes, as soon as the screen comes on after i hang up, boot loops.
While streaming music for a while and turn the screen on and start using the browser, boot loops.
Tethering and doing anything with screen on, boot loops.
playing any game for a short time, boot loops.
hulu plus for a couple mins, boot loops.
In order to get it to stop I just pull the battery let it cool off for a couple minutes and let it boot up like normal. I have never had it reboot while the screen was off. It also happens in any rom/kernel combination I have used. It also happens with my stock battery and the Anker battery that I have. Any opinions? Tips?

What ROM/Kernel combinations you using for example?
What's your flashing process, you doing dirty or clean flashes? Also any apps recently d/l'd?
Any over/underclocking. Same for voltages?
How old are your batteries, both stock and anker?

I had the same problem.
The problem was CPU halting because of too low voltage.
Fixed it by overvoltaging at the max clock via Incredicontrol.
Oem battery is 2 years old. Anker is 2 months old. Currently running v8 of digital karma, underworld kernel with stock speeds and voltages. I have never messed with voltages on my phone but I was thinking the same thing about the cpu getting unstable and needing more juice. Just don't know how similar phone and pc cpus are...

If I'm not mistaken, Underworld is an undervolted kernel by default. My phone never responds well with Underworld kernels, despite which rom I try.
Try using a different kernel and see what happens. Of course, there IS the chance that your phone is reaching the end of its life. My phone is acting all wonky, too, but in much less severe annoyances.

yeah underworld is undervolted. I upped the voltages to the stock setting outlined in the underworld thread.. Same problems. It happened on ics roms also with mason kernel and the prelude drew kernel. Contract with sprint is up in about 2 weeks ill just wait it out and stop tethering for coworkers, that should keep the heat down lol.
Might be am idea to check how many processes are running in the background too. I know Android is set to run better with ram being used but sometimes I think the system can get overloaded.
I forgot did you say the reboots happen with any scheduler, governor combo too?
An enviousOG
on ics roms it happened with wheatly and smartassv2, on sense smartassv2 and ondemand. I have also noticed that it never happens when the screen is off.. I stream music alot at work and say after 2-3 hours of streaming i turn on the screen BAM reboot. I pull the battery and place the phone and battery in front of a fan for 10-15 seconds and it boots up and runs like nothing had happened for another 2-3 hours or even the rest of the day.
edit: Also I made it reboot after 10 minutes of streaming extreme quality on spotify app. I was happy it played without skipping with the terrible 4g connection i get at work! LOL oh well 2 more weeks til upgrade.
Maybe try to increase the min values of both the cpu and if you can the voltages for the kernel, since it seems to be happening when trying to wake the phone. Might be an idea to try increasing all voltages as well

I would just wipe EVERYTHING. Make sure to do a nandroid backup, and wipe the crap out of that thing. Partition your SD card, triple wipe data, dalvik, and cache. Then re-flash your rom, or try another kernal.
I am using the Sacs rom with Ktoonsez kernel on my S4 and after about a day it's constantly rebooting. I notice it does it sometimes at idle but most of the time it's when I turn the screen off and back on again, it will stay black for about a minute or so and then just reboot.
Yesterday, I left my phone in my bag with my mobile data on, and when I took it out it was EXTREMELY hot, so I took it out, cooled it down and charged it, however, while charging it, it was overheating alot, and the battery took 8 hours to charge to 70%. Now I can't even turn my phone on because it immediately heats up, and turning on wifi makes it worse, it overheats like crazy and my wifi screen is stuck at "turning on wifi". I tried a factory reset but there was no use, I flashed another rom onto it and still same issue. Please help, rooted LG d802 with CM12 currently, was using darkobas rom when it happened.
Have you tried flashing stock rom?
Hi, I have an I9505 and it has a weird issue where on stock ROM if the screen turns off and I turn it on again the touch stops responding and then the screen times out and WiFi disconnects.
Then I turn on screen and this time it works, WiFi turns in again and connects.
On any CM12.1 ROM the same thing happens but after the screen times out the screen cannot be turned on again and the phone reboots after 5 minutes. This keeps on happening again and again.
Please help.
One more thing I noticed is that if I keep the phone idle for a long time the battery starts draining rapidly and the device gets hot.
Bump? Anyone?
Reinstall the stock ROM and see if it does this on that ROM.
